“Wow, that’s such strong sentiment. Are you sure it’s not just a crisis like ‘I’m having a bad hair day so I hate everyone right now’ kind of thing?” Josh wondered what had happened to cause his roommate to declare that all straight men were trash. Normally he’d agree, but even he knew there were always exceptions. “Well if you’re sure, but I’m not just gonna let you become plant fertilizer by just laying in bed doing nothing.”

“Aw, man why are you taking shots at me? Did you find another one of my sweaty jockstraps laying around?” He jokes trying to lighten the mood before talking the more serious matter at hand. “We’re still too young to be getting that desperate. Tell you what, I heard about this cool new gay bar down in Fullerton so why don’t we go check it out. There’s bound to be someone worth giving a shot.”

jp stood up, grinned and took a little bow for her trick. “i mean, my body is kinda used to the amount of spinning it takes to tumble, alcohol doesn’t change that too much.” she said, taking her drink back from him.
Josh didn’t know if he should feel jealous or amazed by the fact, all he knew was that he couldn’t go with doing a few spins without having the urge to puke his guts out in the nearest trashcan, but he supposed it was part of the conditioning the body underwent just like any other sport. “It’s very lucky for you, that makes for quite the party trick.”

as much as she wants to stay at the delta house and finish all her pending works, it’s friday night. it’s the start of the weekend, the time to have fun. alexis arrived at the upilson house and went straight to his room without even knocking. “hey you?” she greeted with a quick peck on the cheeks. “wanna go for a skate?”
Josh doesn’t even look up from where he’s pouring over his most recent assigned reading something about good business opportunities that he long ago stopped retaining anything from. He’d thought it was probably Daniel back from being on campus until he hears her voice and he turns his face just in time to accept the kiss on the cheek. “Do you mean roller skating? Because I haven’t been since I was like seven and I’m pretty sure they won’t fit me even if I go home and dig through the garage in order to find them.”

“shut up, hold my drink and watch this.” JP said, a smirk on her face as she handed her beer to the nearest person before finding a long enough stretch of space to pull out her new favourite trick. “cool right?”
Josh was completely taken by surprise when she just pressed her drink into his chest that he didn’t have much time to do more than grasp it in his hand. Instinctively he brings it up to his nose and wrinkles it with distaste when he smells how much it reeked of alcohol. “Uh- yeah that was pretty impressive. I’m surprised you’re not hunched over throwing up in a corner after all that spinning.”

She was going too fast for his sober mind to keep up with her, not that he thought he’d be able to do that even if he was on her level of intoxication. Nor did he want to. “You must have had some good shit,” Josh hummed. “Maybe we should take you outside to get a bit of fresh air before you start puking everywhere.”

“that’s it. my life is over.” the blonde huffed, throwing her crutches to the ground as she sat down on the couch in the commons. a casted leg propped up onto the coffee table as she pouted. “tibia fracture.” she pointed to her leg, “doctor said no cheer OR soccer for like eight months – i’m done for..” she looked up, pout and puppy dog eyes still lingering. “so, you wanna get hammered?”
Josh looked up from his furious scribbling when he heard the crutches hit the ground not too far from where his feet were. He despised how much reading he had to do, especially when it was so dense and boring that it required him to take extensive notes just so that he could keep up with everything he was reading. So he welcomed the distraction as his eyes wandered over to the cast. He knew about injuries first hand, but he’d never gotten one that had put him off the field for more than a couple of weeks at a time. He couldn’t imagine what it must feel like to know that you couldn’t play for eight months. “Damn, that hella sucks! Do you have to do PT afterward?” Despite the apologetic smile he really did have to get his reading done or he’d never be prepared for the midterm. “Sorry, I gotta get this done. Plus I’m not really a fan of drinking this early in the afternoon.”

- ̗̀ * ( matthew noszka + cismale + he/him ) have you seen ( joshua mather ) walking around campus ? they are a ( twenty-two ) year old, studying ( business administration ). we hear they are in ( upsilon nu alpha ), and can be ( charismatic & defensive ), maybe it’s because they are an ( aries ). they sort of remind us of ( pumping iron, winning touchdown, athletic gear ), maybe we can find out more ! ( jesse + 25 + pst + he/him ) * ̖́-
Josh is LA born and raised he grew up about a fifteen-minute drive from the campus.
His parents own a family-owned chain of restaurants in various neighborhoods around the city so he’s expected to take over the business side of the restaurants.
Despite spending so much time in and out of a kitchen he never actually learned how to cook. He was always too busy doing school work or running to his next practice. Though that doesn’t stop him from trying.
He got a full ride to play football though schools had also been looking to recruit him for basketball. Unlike other kids who would have jumped at the opportunity to go as far away as possible from home once they went off to college he was the opposite. Knowing that UCLA wanted him for football is what ultimately made up his mind.
He wanted to take full advantage of the fact that he got a full ride to double major in Business Administration and Biology, but it ended up being too much for him on top of practice so he ended up dropping Biology after the first quarter.
Josh is pretty much the dictionary definition of the All-American boy next door. He’d never do anything that would jeopardize the opportunity he’s been given.
He feels like he’s been blessed with a good life so he’s always finding ways to give back to the community by volunteering at various organizations around the city that help out minorities in need.
