A few of my favourite museum sketchbook spreads. Though the problematic idea of the ‘cabinet of curiosity’ is rightly being questioned I still miss the serenity of drawing in an empty room full of ancient things.

On the left a graphite drawing of Lindow Man - a northern bog body currently located at the British Museum.

This drawing was tough in the icy weather. It got wet, smudged and creased by the wind, but I'm still proud of it.

Meanwood Park. I walk past this building all the time but only stopped to draw earlier this year. Met the gardener and one of the residents who gave me some nice history on the place.
