My reflection as a student at the university of Windsor
I decided to stay at home for my university experience. The programs offered are very diverse with supportive professors. Going from high school to university was big transition. However, there is a lot of on campus support students. One of the courses I am currently taking is KINE 2040- Sports Nutrition which teaches students about how food affects athletic performance. I previously took MGMT 3420-Compensation Management which helps students develop pay strategies and job evaluation.
Some of the tools I would use on campus is the Leddy Library, and the Toldo Lancer Centre. Both places are quite good to de-stress. Both offer spaces for studying. However, the Toldo Lancer Centre also has multiple gyms available to students to help maintain good health.
I also used tools such as Notion for organizing class notes and the google calendar to help me manage deadlines and classes. A great tool for students is the academic advising department. This helped me stay on the right track for course requirements.
Some advice for new students:
-Check Brightspace multiple times a week
-Meet your professors during office hours if you ever get stuck on course material
-Do some type of extra curricular such as clubs or events
-Try to start your assignments days in advance(saves stress)
Some blogs to keep in touch with
If you're looking for something to do then blogs leddy.uwindsor.ca is the place for you. Keep yourself updated on campus activities.
Thanks for readying my post! I'll keep updating you guys about university life based on what I learn in class.
