MEXICAN MEAL
That was thirsty work and everyone has worked up an appetite so it’s off to the Mexican restaurant for a well-deserved lunch and chill out next. So here we are all ready for a nice lunch and some cheeky drinks.
Tumblr media
Keith is allergic to cheese so here he is signing a disclaimer in the restaurant.  There was a lot of laughter around this.  Our waiter assured us that no one would die in the process it was just to protect them from being sued!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone is settled in and waiting to place their orders yum yum.
Tumblr media
Sandra and Keith getting into the spirit of things ….. nice cocktail Sandra Mojito I think.

After plenty of banter it was time to leave and go back home.  Everyone really enjoyed the day out it was so great to see all the carers really enjoying themselves and laughing and joking.

Tonge Moor Carers Hollywood Bowling Event
Barbara’s Story 7th October 2019
Tumblr media
The carers sport their symbolic masks that they hide behind each day this symbolises that carers are faceless and hide their own feelings, wants and needs at their own expense as their main focus is on the people they care for on a daily basis.
The small breaks that the carers enjoy from time to time are so important to keep their mental health strong and keep their spirits up, recharge their batteries and allow them time to be themselves just like normal people are every day.
It allows the carers that much needed time out from caring and become individuals in their own right so they can focus on their own wants and needs and not have to worry about the cared for.  The story below shows how much the carers enjoyed their day out at Hollywood Bowling…..
Tonge Moor Carers set out for a lovely day bowling together to give them chance to relax and have some down time from their caring duties.  Everyone was eager to get started.  The group split into 2 teams spirits were high and everyone was laughing and joking about which team would be the best.
So here we are in the VIP area and settled in oh very posh.

There was much laughter along the way something has tickled Keith.  It was lovely to see everyone really getting stuck in and enjoying themselves.  They all looked like they hadn’t a care in the world.

Keith is looking a bit serious here he just can’t quite make that strike.  Never mind Keith keep trying
Tumblr media
Someone has hit a big one.  The faces say it all!!
