I’m sitting at 5k followers, so I figured it’d be as good a time as ever to do a giveaway!
This time, I’m stepping it up! The prize: Anduril & Sting! Both will be purchased brand new from United Cutlery. You’re probably wondering “What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you give away two expensive swords?!" Well, I’ve come across a large sum of money and I just don’t know what to do with it! Plus, I already have them. So why not?!
So here’s how it’s gonna be (AKA The Rules!):
This is a follower appreciation giveaway, so you must be following me!

Reblog to your heart’s content! (Just be polite and try not to spam.)
Likes count!
Keep your ask box open so I can contact you with the good news!
The giveaway ends October 25th, 2013! I will select the winner via random number generator.
My last giveaway winner was in the US, but I will ship anywhere in the world!

DISNEY-INCORPORATED’S DISNEY GIVEAWAY!
Some things I’ve been planning on selling, but I decided to give these away to a lucky person on here! The giveaway consists of:
8  movies
11 mickey ears
2 mugs
1 Ariel shirt
1 Haunted Mansion iPhone case (that one with the girl holding the umbrella)
I took pictures of my items, but my camera was being lame and didn’t want to load them onto my laptop so I just googled pictures. It’s not much but since I’m moving soon I didn’t really need these items! Especially the Ariel sweater, I already have another one. Just reblog this post, no likes, please! I’m using random.org so reblog as many times as you want, the more the better!
You don’t have to be following me.
Please keep your ask or submit open on the day of September 7, 2013, which is the day I will be choosing.
I ship anywhere around the world

This is my dog, Lily. My sister and I bought her, without my dads permission and brought her home as a puppy about a year ago. My dad hates her, but me & my 2 sisters love her to death. This dog helps me cope with my depression and shes always great company to my sisters and I. My dad describes her as “tolerable." Today, after having this dog for over a year, my dad is saying she needs to go, while he is angry at us for bringing her home, she has become part of the family and we can’t get rid of her, it’s too painful. After begging my dad for a while, he was still stuck on getting rid of her. I mentioned tumblr as a final option, and surprisingly he agreed to it. If I can get 200,000 notes by the end of July, we can keep her. He thinks it’s impossible, but I have faith. I’ve seen tumblr do it before. Please guys help me, I love this dog more than myself. Please oh please :c

I bought a copy of Teen Vogue earlier as a means of research and visuals for my product.
Most notably, Teen Vogue is a bridge for teens to cross so that they can fill the shift between young Fashion and adult Fashion. Most of the time, magazines aimed at teenagers will be bought by the younger teenagers that are interested in Fashion (tweens), a majority of the time adolescents like to feel that they are more mature for their ages so this makes sense.
So, I open the first page of the magazine expecting to see an advertisement for perhaps nail polish or lip gloss and instead I see the Gucci Guilty perfume advert (for him and her, see above). Now I'm no prude but I do not think this is suitable for a teen audience, bearing in mind what I just mentioned about the younger teenagers being consumers of the magazine also. The two people featured look intimate and give the assumption of being naked, it is an advert to promote sexuality and encourages buyers of the perfume/cologne that they too can be like American actor Chris Evans (or next lay to him) in the image, ...or at least smell like him.

Tutorial time +
After having a tutorial this week with Craig, I am now feeling a lot more positive about the direction this project is going in. Just to recap, in case all of my jumbled thoughts haven't specified what it is I'm actually doing...
I plan to create an advert for an app and a website. This work is targeted at tween/teens, mainly of the female gender but I hope that it does capture the interest for males too. The app will be a companion to an online 'zine (website), also specifically for my target group. These will both concentrate on London, as one of the Fashion capitols of the world (my original idea was to have a selection of Fashion capitols and create games for them-this idea was far too big and time consuming-So I rethought it and did a lot more research) and also one of the most culturally popular Fashion cities. So, from this the 'zine will be a style guide for tweens to look at and see where is the best places for Fashion, Food, Entertainment or even just interesting places which is specifically and suitable for them- I also hope to catch the essence of street style so that it will appear as if a blog of style and not just tourist information.
The app that I mentioned would be available on smartphones (which most tween/teens have) and would have a GPS system where the user could log in and could either find somewhere nearby that would be more suitable/interesting for them or would come up with a mini-game where the user can be entertained or even educated. This idea came from the survey that I created where a majority of the people asked, said that they liked to go out shopping but usually were not allowed without adult supervision or when they did go to places like London, they were only going to places that their parents/guardians enjoyed.
....So as I said, after my tutorial I was given some pointers as to where to go next, such as creating a marketing report for this idea plus I need to get more visual-at the moment all of my research is theoretical or digital. I need to build up my sketchbook with visuals and information to go with this!
I shall be reading a report by PSFK on the Future of Retail. Followed by looking at appsforlife and also I have been told to look at the work of a graduate named Hannah Simmons. Links below.

The Fashion Wheel was genius toy. It was basically a large Plastic disk in which you can twist to select your design then closed the paper down using the lever, and then rubbed over the paper with a black crayon (like leaf rubbing), leaving you with an outline the model in her clothes you...

Organizing a London trip: Exhibitions & Events.
For my interactive work I plan on using Fashion capitals and due to timing being of the essence now I shall be concentrating on one city for now and using the idea of more as a possibility if I have more time.
For this, I am going to travel to London within the next week so that I can have a 'zine aspect to my piece. I  shall be checking out certain exhibitions and events, for example:
the Hollywood Costume exhibition at the V&A Museum...
Link Here: http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/exhibitions/exhibition-hollywood-costume/
the Tim Walker:Story Teller exhibition at Somerset House...
Link here: http://www.somersethouse.org.uk/visual-arts/tim-walker-story-teller
(If I had more time I would definitely be looking at Valentino: Master of Couture, which is also at Somerset House but alas, it'll have to be some time during Christmas break for me. Link: http://www.somersethouse.org.uk/visual-arts/valentino )
I am much too old to have a look at the 13-18 Fashion Photography event happening at the British Museum on the 11th November but it is interesting to see Fashion events specifically for some of the age range that I am looking at. You can see the details here: http://www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/events_calendar/event_detail.aspx?eventId=2012_11_11_fashion_photography
Since I am looking at the 'tween' age group, I think it may be useful for me to take a look at the Museum of Childhood. The initial inspiration of this project is my own childhood so even if I may not find anything truly relevant I will use whatever I can to further my inspiration and product...

If anyone does read this and can think of anywhere else that may be interesting for me to venture to please do share!

Tutorial time...
After having a small group tutorial with our course leader I am aware that I need some sort of hard copy of my work, even though I prefer working digitally (for both environmental and personal preference), so I shall be from now on including photographs of my sketchbook-a digital recording of the work I have done on paper so to speak. I will create a mood board in my sketchbook to show the direction and inspiration I am taking for this project. I shall also be including charts and diagrams of the information I have collected from using an online survey for my target audience. I shall also look into information on Mintel to focus on my age range a lot more and see the social information gathered on this resource.
