Holy shit I hadn’t even considered that. That makes it even more fucked up that they had the short there in the first place

Another great day in the Cars Fandom, thanks for joining us

The rewatchability of coco is amazing because there’s just so much going on and so many details and the backgrounds are always so active and there’s all these little hints and Easter eggs in the story and dialogue but none of this distracts from the reasons I enjoyed it last time but anyways here’s a list of things I missed the first time that I honestly can’t believe I missed (while avoiding spoilers)
- look at shoes, who and who doesn’t have them, and when they do and don’t have them
- Ernesto’s HOARD OF CHIHUAHUAS which I honestly can’t believe I missed he has so many
- genetic traits of the Rivera family are really well done like they all look different but you can tell who’s blood related (Miguel’s Dad for instance)
- Diverse skeletons. Like remember how in frozen there was the same woman in the same scene twice? Coco isn’t having it. They’re also very stylish.
- Also the facial diversity they managed with humans AND skeletons is amazing.
- background Rivera’s (dead and alive) don’t get much screen time but they’re so quirky if you decide to pay attention to them
-the land of the dead is entirely built on Mesoamerican pyramids, and architecture has a historical gradient from the bottom up. Most apparent in wide shots but apparent in the whole movie
- marigolds are noticeably absent from the land of the forgotten (because they’re literally everywhere else)
-I’m going to need a compilation of all the Mexican historical figures & celebrities in this movie because they’re Everywhere. Especially at the party!

Conversation
*Imagine a modern setting for Ernesto, Imelda and Hector*
*Imelda's phone rings, Ernesto looks at the screen*
Ernesto: Ha! Miss Fierce Personality still calls her father "Papi"
Imelda: *looks Ernesto at the eyes, expresionless* Hi, Hector.
Ernesto: *chokes*

Do you ever think about how pissed off Hector probably was during the La Llorona dance scene. Ernesto dancing and messing with Imedla like that.
But then she stomps on Ernesto’s foot and Hector falls in love all over again.

That one scene in Coco
Imelda: “You murdered the love of my life! Hold my flower!”
Hector: “Kick his ass, baby. I got your flower.”

Coco Spoilers
All I can think about now is Hector watching Miguel grow up and become a famous musician and then THEIR REUNION AFTER DECADES OF BEING APART AND I CAN’T
WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF
