Righteous Torrence 'Chevy' Hill was a 35 year old Black Trans Man who was murdered in Atlanta, Georgia last week.

He was the owner of an LGBTQ salon, meant to give Black/Queer folks a safe place to just be.

He was a father, a brother, a son, a friend.

Graphic design artist Moataz Abu Sakran has provided extensive documentation of the genocide against Gaza. His photos and videos have been used—often without credit—by major media outlets, and his posts are featured on this blog regularly.

Moataz and his wife and baby girl are trapped in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital complex. The area has been under complete siege for 10 days, and life is extremely difficult and dangerous. In addition to the physical violence of the ongoing siege, the occupation’s famine has made food extremely scarce—Moataz can no longer find milk and nutritious food for baby Maria.

For weeks he has been trying to put together funds to evacuate his family, but donations have stalled, and there is still quite a way to go before they have enough to evacuate.

There was an increase in donations after we initially shared the link on this blog. We are hoping that will happen again. Please support Moataz’s family via this link so that they can reach safety. Even just a few dollars will help. If you can’t donate, please share the link on all your social media accounts.

i feel so enraged fundraising for gazans trying to flee because this money goes right into the pockets of the people i despise the most. its not lost on me that the millions of dollars primarily raised by civilians overseas who are doing their best to save lives with their dollars, given to gazans who have lost everything, is being extracted into the pockets of the corrupt egyptian regime and its adherents. its not going to go into social services, into hospitals, into social support for the millions of refugees egypt is hosting. instead it goes to the businessmen of the military regime who make sure egyptians stay subjugated while they put our money and your money in a swiss bank account and then beg for funding from the gulf and the eu to keep building malls in the desert. i genuinely hate that this money is crowdfunded. this isn't lobbyist dollars, it is not pledged from corporations or millionaires or billionaires, it's from ordinary and good people who are taking it out of their own budget and spending in the month to help someone hundreds of thousands of miles away. there are no other options as of this moment to save lives. they made it this way, but life comes first.

Omg guys I just spoke to the manager at HomeGoods and scheduled an interview for tomorrow at 2pm… I worked at one of their locations in Jersey before and I was great at that job and rlly enjoyed it too so I’m super excited abt this, but I’m completely broke and need to get some money together to get myself to the store for my interview. Plus we have to be out of this house by the end of April and really need to make sure we have enough for a security deposit on a new place by then but we’re still like 2k short and have barely any food in the house rn…. If anyone can help me out at all it would be GREATLY appreciated.
