Arity looks down at her beer, pretty sure she’s blushing. She takes a long drink, then points at his arm. ‘That’s an interesting tattoo, by the way.’ ‘Thanks,’ he says, looking down at it. ‘A friend of mine designed it for me.’ ‘What do all these things mean?’ She glances up at him and catches his eye. He’s looking at her with that cheeky grin again. ‘That’s privileged information,’ he says warmly. ‘If you play your cards right, I’ll tell you one day.’ There���s no doubting his meaning. She’s really in it now, she thinks; the butterflies are thundering in her belly. ‘Righto,’ she says, face definitely burning now.

This is a study + test editing for a larger piece I’m working on called A Closed Door, based on a scene I wrote yesterday. She & Evan, who will also be in it, are having a very bad time… and it’s going to get significantly worse before the end of the book. My bad, ig 😆

She's not into clubbing and the drink - well - she and her bestie had a bit of an argument on the way...

Jimmy says to Gracie, ‘What are you drinking?’ She’s still salty, so she picks the most expensive drinks she can think of. ‘Cosmopolitan.’ His eyebrows shoot up, expression half amused, half surprised; but he wisely says, ‘Alright.'

No, she didn't enjoy the drink but it was worth it :)

Charles (the actual king) was born under an extraordinary celestial circumstance - Venus was seen shining at midday the day of his birth. I’m nodding to that with all the pink.

It’s about time I drew her properly - I sketched her a lot when Valhalla came out, but never completed anything (at least not digitally).
