Fender Bender Accidents Are The Most Common Auto Accidents
In many cases, there could be just a dent or scratch on the cars involved. Many people believe the worst that can come from a minor accident like this is rust from the damage being left unrepaired. Contrary to that belief, a simple fender bender accident can cause all kinds of internal hidden damage to your vehicle. Some common hidden damages we have found caused by fender benders include electrical system failure or malfunction, misaligned tires, suspension problems, and car frame damage. It is very important to have a professional take a look at your vehicle after a fender bender to ensure that there is not any serious hidden damage.
Give JS Auto Collision a call and schedule a free estimate. Once we are able to examine your vehicle and estimate the damage, we will work directly with the insurance company, if applicable, on your behalf to ensure that you receive the highest quality service and repairs for your vehicle. Why Summer Is The Perfect Time For Car Dent Repair
Summer is often considered the perfect time for car dent repair due to several factors. JS Auto Collision has provided some reasons why below:
Weather conditions: Summer typically offers more favorable weather conditions for car dent repair. Warmer temperatures and lower humidity levels facilitate the repair process. Certain repair techniques, such as paintless dent repair (PDR), may require specific temperature ranges to be effective. Additionally, dry weather conditions allow for better adhesion and drying of paint, resulting in a more seamless repair.
Increased daylight: Longer daylight hours during summer provide technicians with more working time. Ample natural light helps in identifying and assessing dents accurately. It improves visibility and allows for better precision during the repair process.
Flexibility in scheduling: Summer is a popular time for vacations and outdoor activities, which means that repair shops might have increased availability for appointments. As a result, you may have a greater chance of securing a convenient time slot for your car dent repair without having to wait for an extended period.
Quick turnaround time: With favorable weather conditions and increased availability, repair shops may be able to complete the dent repair process more efficiently during the summer. This can lead to shorter turnaround times, allowing you to get your vehicle back on the road sooner.
Protection against further damage: Ignoring or delaying car dent repairs can lead to additional issues. For example, if a dent exposes your vehicle's metal to the elements, it can be more susceptible to rusting, especially during rainy seasons. By addressing the dent promptly in the summer, you can prevent further damage and potential costly repairs down the line.
Give JS Auto Collision a call and schedule a free estimate. Once we are able to examine your vehicle and estimate the damage, we will work directly with the insurance company, if applicable, on your behalf to ensure that you receive the highest quality service and repairs for your vehicle. The Most Common Repairs That Auto Body Shops Do
Accidents can happen at any time and to any driver, no matter how careful they are on the road. If you have been involved in an accident like most other drivers there is the need to visit an auto body repair shop. Most shops, like JS Auto Collision, offer a variety of auto body repair and restoration services, from paintless dent removal to professional detailing. Even though most services are done to repair damage resulting from a recent collision, that’s not always the case. These are the most common types of repairs that body shops perform.
Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)
Minor impact on cars such as paint scratches made by grocery carts, hail, flying rock or other objects may cause damages to the paint of your car or leave noticeable dents. If left unattended to, even minor dents can cause bigger and more expensive paint problems later. To ensure that you get the most of your car and avoid further damages, the process called Paintless dent removal is recommended. A trained auto body repair specialist at JS Auto Collision can use a variety of special tools to gently and slowly push the dents back into its original shape and condition. Paintless dent removal is a cost-effective and long-lasting service to getting your car back to its original condition.
Auto Body Painting
A new paint job may be required as part of the collision repair service. Paint jobs can also be done for older cars or to help improve the appearance of the car. Body shops routinely take on paint jobs on vehicles with bodies that have been harmed by scratches, rust, paint chips, paint swirling, or other damages.
Window Repairs and Replacements
Auto repair shops offer a wide range of auto glass damage repair services. Auto glass repair services offered may include repair of chips, cracks, and breaks. In some cases, the damage may be repaired while in other cases, a total replacement of windows or windshields may be required.
Frame Testing and Straightening
Recent accident studies revealed that as much as 50 percent of car accident victims report frame damages as part of the damages sustained by their cars. Frame damages may also include minor fender benders in the event of low impact accidents. A weakened frame can put the vehicle owner at risk and this is why it is recommended that vehicle owners seek out their auto repair service experts in the aftermath of accidents to have their cars thoroughly examined and attended to.
A bent frame presents car owners with several disadvantages including uneven tracking on the road, poor handling and may also cause the tires and steering component to wear out faster than it should.

Most Common Auto Body Repairs In The Winter
Winter brings with it bitter conditions that can damage your car. Learning about common winter repairs can help you identify problems and deal with them promptly as well as allowing you to take preventative measures to help minimize damage. JS Auto Collision has provided you a list of the most common auto body repairs in the winter.
Painting
Extreme winter weather gives the paint on your vehicle a beating. Freezing rain, snow, sleet, and ice damage paint over time. Snow and ice that accumulates on your car carries dirt and debris with it, and can scratch the paint as it melts and falls off. Parking your car in a protected area is the best way to minimize damage from winter weather, but covering your vehicle helps if you must park outside. If you notice that your paint is already suffering damage, take it to an auto body shop like JS Auto Collision to find out about repairs.
Rust
Rust is another factor that is more common during winter when the high moisture levels and salt gathered from the road quicken rust formation. Regularly washing your car and storing it somewhere dry is the best way to minimize rust formation. If rust starts to form on your car, take it to an auto body shop like JS Auto Collision right away. Rust gets worse over time and can significantly damage your car if not dealt with promptly.
Repair and Replacement
The number of accidents increases during winter. This creates a need for a variety of repairs ranging from fender replacement to major auto body repair. As you face the winter roads, be extra cautious and alert. Keep your car in good operating condition because faulty parts can be more hazardous in winter weather. Fixing auto body repairs as soon they happen can help your car face the harsh winter weather.
If your vehicle is in need of winter repairs be sure to contact the expert team at JS Auto Collision. JS Auto Collision repair center is equipped to carry out a full range of repairs, from paintless dent removal to dents and scratches to full collision repair work and more. Preventing Winter Paint Damage
When we think of the harm that our vehicles face in the winter, we usually think of accidents caused by slick roads and the eventual formation of rust. However, this weather isn’t great on your paint, either.
These tips from JS Auto Collision will help you protect the look of your vehicle and stop problems before they start.
Keep Your Car Covered
The wind, rain, snow, and ice all can damage a car’s paint. It is extremely important to make sure your car has appropriate coverage during times like these. The best option is to use a garage or carport, but if you don't have either of those choices, then you can get a cover that you can place over your car. Using a cover will also make it easier to clear off snow and ice.
Use the Right Tools
Most ice scrapers come with a brush for removing snow, but if you really care about the look of your vehicle, you should use a snow broom. Instead of bristles, these brooms use stiff foam pads that can move the snow without scraping your paint.
Keep it Waxed
Wax is more than just a way to keep your car looking nice and shiny; it's also a protectant. If you wax your car after every wash, then the wax will help to keep the salt and grit off your car's paint. It will also make it easier for you to get it clean the next time you have to wash it because the added layer of protection makes it harder for dirt to stick to your car's paint.
Keep it Washed
You need to wash your car frequently, especially during the winter. Frequent washes keep the salt and grit off, which helps keep rust from forming. Ideally, you should take your car to get washed after every storm because that's when the worst of the salt and grit will be on the roads. Make sure that the weather is as warm as possible when you take the car in to prevent any freezing.
When you wash your car, an automatic car wash will be able to spray the undercarriage where most of the salt accumulates, keeping it off the edges of the sills and fenders.
Patching Rust Spots
If you noticed any patches of rust or damage on your car before the winter really got started or at any time during the winter, you want to make sure that you get those fixed as soon as possible. It doesn't take a lot of time for rust damage to get started or to expand. Nor does it take a lot of space for that little bit of damage to start. So, if you see any damage, you should get it fixed as soon as possible.
When Your Paint Looks Bad, Turn to the Professionals
JS Auto Collision offers a full range of body services. Let us restore the look of your vehicle after snow and salt have taken their toll. Our technicians are ASE certified, so we have the skills and tools to restore any car, new or old.

Tips For Driving Safely During the Fall
Falling leaves and freezing rain make roads slick, while increased fog and shorter days reduce visibility. These tips from JS Auto Collision will help you reduce your risk when driving this fall.
Change Your Windshield Wipers
If your windshield wipers are leaving streaks, now is a good time to change them. Full frame wipers are better at pushing away snow and ice than beam wipers. While you’re at it, switch to winter wiper fluid. It performs better in cool weather and stays liquid when temperatures dip below freezing.
Check Your Headlights
Check your headlight alignment to make sure you’ll have maximum visibility without blinding other drivers. When your vehicle has a half tank of fuel, park it 25 feet away from a wall or garage door at night. Turn on your headlights and check the difference between the position of the headlights and the height of the lighted area on the wall. Your owner’s manual will have instructions on using your car’s adjustment screws. When properly aligned, the height and angle of the light on the wall will be identical to the center of each headlight.
Clean your Windows
If you have a light, streaky haze form on your windows when they fog up, use a cleaning eraser on them. This removes the oils that are caused by your interior plastic. Follow this up with some regular glass cleaner, and you’ll get a clear, streak-free view.
Check your Tire Pressure Frequently
On average, your tires will lose 1-2 PSI for every 10-degree drop in temperature. Don’t rely on the TPMS sensor: it only turns the dash light on when it measures a very low tire pressure.
Look Out for Leaves
Wet leaves offer about as much traction as a layer of ice, causing your vehicle to slide if you try to brake on them. Instead, maintain your speed and make gentle steering adjustments to maintain traction. Keep an eye on leaf piles next to the road: children could be playing in them.
Wear Sunglasses
This is good advice all year, but particularly in September and October. There is more glare in the early and late hours of the day as the sun sits in front of roadways. As the days get shorter, the sun is lowest at the times most people make their commute, further limiting visibility.
Use the Right Lights When Faced with Fog
Fall weather creates fog. Low beams and fog lights shine under this layer, but high beams will reflect off the fog’s moisture, blinding you and any nearby drivers.
If you need to use your fog lights, leave your headlights on, too. The added light at the front and rear of your vehicle helps make it visible to other drivers.
Look Out for Deer
Fall is the peak season for deer activity, and we live in one of the worst places in the nation for deer-related accidents. Deer are most active just before dawn, but they can show up at any time of day or night. If you see one deer, expect others will be shortly behind. Be especially careful if you see a deer crossing sign. These are placed on stretches of road that have seen a high number of accidents.
When a collision is unavoidable, use maximum brake force. Even cutting a few MPH off your speed can make a big difference to the amount of damage the accident causes.
When Accidents Happen, Visit JS Auto Collision
Even the most careful driver can be involved in an accident. When that happens, come see the JS Auto Collision for collision repair.

Why Summer Is The Perfect Time For Car Dent Repair
You’ve got a minor dent or ding on your car, but it’s not serious enough to be an immediate hazard, so you postpone the repair.
If you’ve been putting off getting your car repaired, summertime is the perfect time to start thinking about collision repair. At JS Auto Collision, our auto collision repair shop is equipped with modern repair equipment and staffed by collision repair experts.
Here’s why JS Auto Collision thinks that summer is the best time to get your car repaired.
1. Don’t Procrastinate.
The longer you put off a repair, the more you attract additional damage. Dirt, grit, and grime can get into the damaged metal on your vehicle. This can end up causing rust and additional problems. A minor repair means a quick fix, so what are you waiting for?
2. Get Your Car Repaired Before Winter.
Winter can be incredibly tough on your vehicle.. If your vehicle needs paint to be touched up, dry and warm weather is much better for helping the repair process. That’s why it’s not a bad idea to take care of minor car repair problems before winter sets in.
3. Take Advantage of a More Flexible Schedule.
If you’ve got school-aged kids or you’re in college yourself, you probably know all too well how busy things can get once fall classes begin. It can be tough to work out time to bring your car in when you’re running kids to activities.
Give JS Auto Collision a call and schedule a free estimate. Once we are able to examine your vehicle and estimate the damage, we will work directly with the insurance company, if applicable, on your behalf to ensure that you receive the highest quality service and repairs for your vehicle. Why Are Accidents So Common in the Summer?
From vacations to outdoor concerts, most drivers find themselves on the road more often once summer arrives. While a packed schedule is exciting, more drivetime increases the risk of an accident. Since handling collision repairs or recovering from injuries are the last issues anyone wants to spend their summer solving, follow these summer safety tips from JS Auto Collision.
Slow Down
The highway crashes are the most common during summer especially when everyone is trying to get ahead. So, maintaining the required speed limit is the best way to prevent a car crash.
Avoid Distraction
While it’s illegal to text and drive in some states, most states have not yet prohibited talking on the phone for drivers. However, distracted driving results in over 3,000 deaths per year. To reduce the risk of an accident, avoid using your phone while on the road. When communication is necessary, pull over, or utilize a hands-free software. Phones aren’t the only distractions that lead to collision repairs. Focusing your attention on navigation systems or radios is also dangerous. For that reason, you should set your GPS and in-car audio before you hit the road.
While accidents are the worst nightmares for every driver, some minor fender benders are very common. It is important to ensure the safety of all the passengers who are in the car and it is equally important to know what to do in case your car is hit. Whether you hit a car or you are hit by another driver, the body of your car is equally damaged and requires complete auto body repair. By reviewing the insurance documents as well as getting the estimates from different auto body repair shops like JS Auto Collision that are certified by your insurance company, you can compare the estimates and choose the one that is in your budget. Your local collision repair technician at JS Auto Collision can help you assess the damage to your vehicle and determine the best course of action.

How Spring Can Damage Your Car Paint
Spring is a very beautiful time where the sun is refreshing and warming. After spending months driving in the cold, having to deal with rainy and icy roads, drivers want to enjoy some warmth. Spring brings colorful flowers, chirping birds, and clear skies, but it also brings some things that can damage your car paint.
Here at JS Auto Collision, we care about keeping your car looking flawless. That is why we think it’s important for you to know the common things to look out for that could damage your car.
Bird and Bug Droppings
As birds and bugs become more active in the spring, they start attacking cars with their droppings. Bird droppings contain things like uric acid and residues that eat through the clear coat finish of your car. Make sure you don’t leave them on your car, the sun’s powerful rays can also bake bird droppings into the finish. So get them cleaned as soon as possible.
Bugs can also ruin your car paint too. Flying bugs can get splattered on your car while driving and ruin your car's finish. These bugs contain acids and when splattered in your car and baked by the sun, they can corrode your car finish. Make sure to wash off the splatter as soon as possible to prevent this.
Pavement Debris
This is quite common in areas where roads have been repaved, or recent construction has been done. Some spots on the pavement may become loose. This rough debris can get picked up by the tires of moving vehicles and shoot them straight to your car’s hood or bumper. This will, most likely, cause chipping, flaking, or even worse, body corrosion.
To prevent this, if you see any chipping, promptly touch it up with matching auto paint from the dealership. If there are several chips, make sure you go to your local auto body shop like JS Auto Collision to get the finish smooth again.
Tree Sap
Spring is the time for trees to awaken, causing them to drip sap. This sticky substance tends to land on cars parked underneath trees, and it may get baked by the sun’s rays, crystalize into the painted surface, and leave an ugly patch behind. The sap is a chemical makeup so it cannot be removed as easily as washing the area.
To get rid of this, you should immediately clean the affected areas spraying alcohol and then wiping it off using a microfiber cloth.
Pollen
Pollen doesn’t only affect humans with terrible allergies, it is also harmful to your car. It can scratch your paint. Pollen particles are very, very small, and they can get into your car’s pores and settle. If left on your car for too long, the pollen can release acids and result in color fading. Simply wash your car with warm soapy water and rinse.
How Can I Protect My Paint?
We have several tips to help protect your car’s paint from chipping, cracking, or flaking. Especially during spring. These are some of the best things to do:
Park your car out of direct sunlight
If you want to wash your car yourself, use mild soaps and cleaners
Immediately get rid of bug spots, bird droppings, leaves, and berry stains
Use your garage or car cover
Get it professionally waxed once a year
Take your car to “touchless” car washes
Choosing A Reliable Car Collision Repair Shop
If you’ve been dealing with these problems and they’re damaging your car’s finish, simply get it to an auto repair shop. JS Auto Collision is qualified to get your paint back to factory condition so you’re ready to get back on the road and enjoy this spring.
If you have been in a recent car collision and you have noticed minor paint damage, you will need a highly experienced auto body shop to take care of the problem. JS Auto Collision is here to assist you. JS Auto Collision can repair everything from door dings to major accident damage.

Rear-End Collision Damage
Do you know how to assess rear end damage? It is important for every driver to know what to look for after a rear-end collision. In addition to the visible damage, there could also be damage that is hidden from view until you have your car inspected by a qualified auto body shop like JS Auto Collision.
Rear-end collisions are the most common type of accident in America. In fact, there are more than 1.7 million rear-end collisions on U.S. roads every year. About 40% of all accidents consist of rear-end collisions, usually due to a distracted driver slamming into an unsuspecting driver’s rear end.
As you inspect the rear-end damage, as best as you’re able to do under the circumstances, here’s a few things to look for that JS Auto Collision has provided:
Check alignment
After a rear-end collision, you might notice that your steering wheel vibrates or your car veers to the left or right while you are on the highway. It could mean that you need a wheel re-alignment in order to restore its proper handling. If so, it’s not something you want to ignore.
Transmission trouble
If your vehicle is an all-wheel or rear-wheel-drive, a rear-end collision could cause damage to the transmission since the components are located in the rear of the car. If you notice that transmission fluid is leaking or that it is harder to shift gears, you could have a problem with your transmission and should be addressed right away. Have your transmission inspected before you do anything else at a professional auto body shop.
Structural damage
After a rear-end collision, you should have your car inspected for structural damage. Just because you don’t see any damage on the exterior doesn’t mean there isn’t underlying damage. If your frame is bent, it could indicate that you may have some structural issues. A vehicle has many moving parts and that increases the likelihood that one part or another was damaged in the accident.
Trunk damage
Another kind of rear-end collision damage is to the trunk. Trunk damage is one of the most common damage in rear-end collisions. Afterwards you might have trouble opening or closing your trunk, or locking it.
If you are involved in a rear-end collision, we hope that you aren’t hurt. Your priority should be having your vehicle inspected and repaired, so it is safe to drive again. An inspection of the rear-end damage by a qualified auto technician at JS Auto Collision can help reveal underlying damage that was not visible to the eye. Whether you have trunk damage, transmission trouble, or dings and dents that need to be repaired, JS Auto Collision is here to assist you. JS Auto Collision can repair everything from door dings to major accident damage.
