Today on this auspicious occasion Marathi actor Sharad Kelkar, who has played several amazing roles on the screens said none of his other roles gave him a sense of satisfaction like playing the role of Indian ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

News portal Hindustan Times had an exclusive chat with Sharad Kelkar on this occasion. Before the interview started Sharad removed his slippers, a mark of respect, and shot the entire interview barefoot. He said, “It’s a matter of pride for all of us, not just Maharashtrians. He established Hindu Swaraj in India, he’s a monarch.”

Sharad Kelkar acknowledged the role of Shivaji Maharaj’s important role in establishing the Hindu Swaraj in India. He also shared his astonishment when Om Raut offered him the role of Shivaji Maharaj, because he never met or had talked to Om Raut, so it came as a shock to him. He gained confidence to play the role when he donned maharaj’s look and entered the office for a look, and everybody was left in awe of his look.

He said, “I had never met or spoken to Om Raut before. I was out of the country when he called and said he wanted to meet me. He then said he wants me to play the role of Shivaji, and I was silent for two minutes before asking ‘why me?’ He said he wants his king to look like this, have a personality like mine. We did a look test, and when I came to the office donning the attire, everybody went quiet. Then I realized they were looking at me. That gave me a lot of confidence. For a Maharashtrian, a Marathi actor, this role was once in a lifetime. It’s the biggest achievement,”

He also recalled the overwhelming response he got after the movie “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” was released. He shared how people were continuously praising him for his role as Shivaji Maharaj.

Deepika Padukone attended the 77th BAFTA Film Awards Ceremony on Sunday. Deepika donned a beautiful sabyasachi silver shimmery look and impressed not only her Indian fans but also gained the attention of her International fans. Deepika wore an amazing golden and silver-hued shimmery saree that has sequins work on it. She paired it with the similar blouse and chose to go for a dewy look with kohl rimmed eyes. Deepika attended the event to present an award. She presented an award for the ‘Best Film not in the English language’ to the actor Jonathan Glazer for the movie “The Zone of Interest”. The award ceremony was held at the London Royal Festival Hall. Along with Deepika there were other presenters as well, including Dua Lipa, David Beckham, Hugh Grant, Cate Blanchett, Adjoa Andoh and Lily Collins.

Robert Downey Jr, Prince William, Andrew Scott, Florence Hugh, and Emma Stone also attended the ceremony. Last year Deepika Padukone also made a big appearance at the Oscars and represented India. She expressed her gratitude towards BAFTA, for choosing her as the award presenter. She shared a post on her Instagram handle with the caption “Gratitude”.

While everyone was praising Deepika on X, formerly Twitter, an American user asked, “Who is she?” He wrote, “Idk who she is but the girl ate that look. ISTG if Dua (Lipa) doesn’t serve like this." When a fan said it was Deepika Padukone, the person said, “I don’t know but that outfit is everything, watching some random girl eat so bad and then there’ll be Dua in a plain black gown." to which her fans replied, “Random? She’s the biggest ‘IT’ girl of Bollywood."

Many of Deepika’s fans came to support her, one fan said, “Okay bow down she's the biggest superstar of India." while the other said, “That's Deepika Padukone. Mother to millions." Deepika Padukone is an Indian Actress, recently seen in the movie “Fighter” an aerial action thriller opposite Hrithik Roshan. Siddharth Anand directed the film, it also starred actors Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. She will next be seen in the science-fiction action thriller film “Kalki 2898 AD” opposite the South actor Prabhas.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” directed by Karan Johar. Apart from Shaktimaan, Ranveer also has dates locked for his upcoming movie’s “Singham Again” by Rohit Shetty and “Don 3” by Farhan Akhtar. Don 3 will be shot in India as well as abroad for the period of seven months which will be wrapped up in March 2025, prior to which Ranveer Singh will start shooting for Shakitmaan.

According to a source, “Right after Don 3, it’s time for Shaktimaan. The film was in the writing stage for over three years now and the team has finally cracked a script that’s worthy of doing justice to Shaktimaan’s legacy. The movie will be directed by Basil Joseph, Sajid Nadiadwala the producers, under the banner Sony Pictures India.”

While Ranveer Singhs’s Singham will release in 2024, Don 3 will be a big release in 2025, and Shaktimaan is expected to release in 2026. With such big films on his plate, Ranveer will be extremely busy for the coming two years. The reports also say that Ranveer Singh is in talks with other directors as well. He’s looking for a south collaboration to do a Pan-India film.

After Rohit Sharma got out for 131, the Debutant Sarfaraz Khan, put out a score of 62 runs, making a 77 run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja carved his fourth Test century, second in Rajkot, with an average of 245. For the second he will be batting at 110, with Kuldeep Yadav.

Aditya Narayan’s concert was held at Rungta R2 College in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. From where a video has gone viral of Aditya Narayan throwing a concert goer’s phone. Aditya received a massive backlash on social media for his behavior. But now the event organizers have released a statement regarding the incident.

The event organizers mentioned in the statement that the person in the video was continuously trying to pull the singer’s leg while he was performing on stage. They also said that the person in the video was not a student of Rungta R2 College. No official statement has been given by Aditya Narayan on this incident.

While talking with Zoom, the event manager stated that the “man was constantly dragging his feet” and this “irritated the singer”. The event organizers also accused the man of banging his phone multiple times on Aditya’s feet. Other the singer was in a very cheerful mood, he clicked around 200 selfies with the students present there and even after the incident, the concert was amazing.

This is not the first time that Aditya has lost his cool publicly. Even in 2017, a video went viral where Aditya can be seen arguing with airport personnel at the Raipur airport. In the video he could be seen threatening the airport security staff while saying “If I don’t humiliate, then my name isn’t Aditya Narayan.”

He also said, “It has the same theme but the difference is, unlike Taare Zameen Par, which left you in tears, Sitaare Zameen Par will leave you in laughter. Prasanna is directing the movie and it is an entertaining film. We are looking at the same topic but with a different perspective.” Aamir took a one-year gap after Laal Singh Chaddha, which failed to capture the audience.
