Ive seen a few Murderhelion fics that have ART like. Calmly and seriously telling Murderbot that it loves it and listen. I understand the impulse to force Murderbot (emotion-phobic) to deal with someone who is literally trained in therapy speak having a frank and honest conversation about their feelings. But also. ART's emotional speech pattern is actually trying to have complete plausible deniability about ever having experienced any feeling ever in its life, until it gets in an emotionally loaded conversation and seemingly stops thinking about what it's saying (murderbot is not the only one who needs that speech delay) and therefore saying something absolutely insane.

Which is, like, for the record, actually funnier and way worse for Murderbot to deal with. ART isn't going to be the adult sitting Murderbot down to say I love you it's going to say it on accident in the middle of a giant fight and then block MB on the feed.
