a/n ; i know it’s been like at least over a month since i updated this i’m so sorry🤡🤡 bear with the lacklustre writing for now please, it was the best i could come up with at this point in time🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️

the smell of roasted coffee beans hit like a brick as you swung the cafe door open and you wrinkled your nose in annoyance, getting mentally prepared for the scent to be wafting through your hair for the rest of the day. you scanned the room a while before spotting a lanky arm in the distance waving you over. soobin.

"y/n!! over here!" he called out. you smiled and waved back before making your way towards the boy.

"hey, soobin!" you slid into the seat across him and began taking out your books as soobin broke into a cheesy grin. you had to admit, he was pretty good looking when he smiled. not as handsome as beomgyu though, obviously.

"here, i got us coffee for the energy boost." soobin said, pushing a tall glass towards you nervously, "it's one of my favorites from here, thought you might like it."

you gratefully accepted the drink with a hearty "thanks!" and steeled yourself mentally for the mathematical torture to come, opening your textbooks. despite your impressive resolve, though, the only maths you ended up doing that day was going off in tangents talking about everything under the sun with the sweet boy in front of you. each word that rolled off his tongue was just so earnest, and he was such a funny guy! could anyone blame you guys for not getting any work done? you thought not.

by the end of the afternoon, your textbooks were shoved aside to a corner of the table, forgotten, and you had learned that soobin's most prized possessions was his small farm of animal-shaped erasers he kept on display in his room. conversation had never felt this easy, this fast- soobin was definitely someone you could become great friends with!
