jugyeong is so brand new city - mitski coded it actually hurt in my bones. i think the webtoon did a better job to portray how much she had a craving to be beautiful. and how much that means in the Korean society, how the beauty standards there are absolute brutal and it weighs young girls down. jugyeong basically spent all her formative years craving to be beautiful so she could be seen and understood as an individual but she had to make her true quirks a secret to everyone.
