due to my motivation spike, i’ve decided to write headcanons for mary (from kakegurui) and her first s/o! i hope u all enjoy!

u definitely had to ask her out

she had definitely crushed on u for a long time,,, but yk

she’s too shy+angry to say anything

so after u confessed

and she says yes (as she should tf)

things are,,, rocky to say the least

it’s not like mary has zero experience

but she has zero experience

she rejects all pda+affection at first

(bc she thinks it makes her look weak,,, poor bb)

as ur relationship reaches new levels and u get closer

she starts to tolerate it

(actually no she loves it but her ego wont let her admit it)

the little giggle she made the first time u kissed her there was so out of character u had to take a step back

but u love it so much that u can’t resist peppering pecks on her neck until she lets out that adorable little sound

ik mary would want u to watch her gamble

the idea of ur eyes on her hands as she wins gets her worked up🙈

u best prepare urself for the constant 2v2 matches mary sets up

now let’s say u were dating her when she lost everything to yumeko and became a housepet

and her confidence+ego is at an all time low

she’d immediately try to break if off with u

like the day of she shows u her necklace declaring her housepet status and tries to break it off

but if you were WATCHING her match with yumeko?

mary would actually want to die

the embarrassment she feels is enough to make her almost cry

but what would be even more embarrassing for her is if u are kind to her after she’s demoted to housepet

which ofc u are,,, but she receives it as pity and snaps at u

and she’s amazed when u agree to leave her alone but say that u want to still to date her

but even then

it’s like starting from the beginning

she’ll be pretty unresponsive, crawling deeper into herself as u try to help her

it’s a tough time for both of u ngl

BUT

once she regains her status and a normal status

the two of u are as close as ever

mary refuses to talk ab her time as a housepet, thanking u for staying with her once and then never bringing up the subject again

but it’s pretty much smooth sailing from there
