WEEK 6 ROUND UP
i am in the top 25!!! shortlisted for the SMINT competition! :)
also bookbinding workshop was really good, and i made another book to practice over the week
i am disappointed that i did not complete my second mini project for my studio. i designed the boo but didn't make the physical thing
my dissertation also feels like it is coming together better :) almost like it is turning into a real thing
FMP and RSA are moving along, we finalized out decisions on these this week. i chose to do the RSA (as well as the work placement, already finished from the summer); and we handed in our proformas for FMP :)

felt like shit this week.
physically spent, maybe i'm getting sick?
gave my bfi presentation and it actually went really well so i'm happy:)

BFI WORKSHOP 6
i finished the presentation and improved more tests for my pitch.
i gave my presentation and it went really well :) i'm happy with what i presented and excited to hear back.
even if i am not chosen i have to complete the poster for the future film festival because they will be displayed. so i can't just forget about this! no matter how much i want to be done with this stress. it will be good to have a final result to show for this though :)

new brief and zine workshop:
new brief is to make a book answering the following question(s).
do we choose our own clients? do we use our skills for improving the world/society, or do we use them for commerce?
to help us get started thinking about this we did a zine workshop.
we had to create a final result in only 1.5 hours so it was about thinking fast and running with your idea. commit and follow through

BFI WORKSHOP 4
for the fourth workshop we had to bring some rough developments of our ideas.
i got feedback from the last workshop about my ideas and moodboards and moved forward with my thinking. i made new moodboards and some first tests.

my photos of the salt writing didn't turn out great because the lighting was less than perfect.
that was as good as i could get it with some editing.
so i decided to take the photos i had and make some vector art with them.
the final poster i presented in A3 landscape format was this:
FEEDBACK:
i was told to think about how to make the project bigger, how to market it to an audience and expand the poster concept.
ideas are to look into starter moving in packs (for student residence livers maybe), and to make the rest of the series i had planned on already.

then i made a mess in my bedroom:
these are salt type photos for my poster project for open house studio class. the problem i want to solve through this poster is to get my roomates to clean up!
