       Hues narrowed in on a familiar face, drink being placed slowly on to the car counter as his frame began to pull towards the bright ginger hair, heart clenched within his chest. A childish fear began to rise, the thought of losing his mother again after getting her back, after missing her the last 21 years of his life but also knowing the chance of his own fate when he refused to bend his knee by the end of the night. ❝ Mom, what are you doing here, ❞ Wesley questioned as he finally managed to get to her. ❝ Have you lost your mind? You shouldn’t be anywhere near this place, near anything that has to do with this damn war. ❞

      juliana immediately recognized the voice that came from over her shoulder and quickly turned in her son’s direction to listen to his words. ❝ i’m socializing, darling. what does it look like? ❞ she understood her son’s concern and appreciated it more than she could express, but she also knew that choosing not to go to hope’s coronation would have ended worse for her than if she did go. ❝ the guard didn’t exactly give me a choice in the matter sweetheart. they were practically camping outside of corey’s house to make sure that i came. ❞

❝ i mean you can if you really want to. ❞ juliana admitted with a laugh, shaking her head slightly as amusement washed over her face. ❝ you used to hate when i would try and take you shopping with me as a teenager. why are you so adamant to do it now? ❞

I never told them. ❞ It had been something that had weighed heavily upon his conscience over the years, no matter how hard he fought to pretend he didn’t have one. ❝ I couldn’t do it. ❞ The witch released an unsteady breath, his jaw tensing and releasing ❝ I wanted to, but I couldn’t give them another reason to despise me more than they were already growing to. ❞

       juliana wasn’t entirely surprised by the admission that she received from her son, but it did pain her to know that he had carried the weight of the situation all alone for nearly two decades. ❝ but it wasn’t your fault. ❞ the witch challenged sternly. ❝ sure, you chose to do magic in the quarter, but i’m the one that chose to take the fall for it. you didn’t ask me to. that was my choice. ❞

NIGHTMARE : for one muse to comfort the other after a nightmare. ( Cordelia )

cordelia had been the first of her children that juliana had found herself reunited with, and she had also been the one that had been the quickest ( aside from winter ) to accept that she truly was who she said she was. since reconnecting, the mother-daughter duo had been nearly inseparable, going so far now as to have a sleepover together.

juliana had been sleeping in the room across the hall when she heard the sounds of her daughter's screams. wasting no time at all, the witch quickly threw herself from her bed and made her way across the hall into her daughter's room. ❝ cordelia? ❞ she called out softly, making her way over to sit on the edge of cordelia's bed. ❝ corey, honey -- wake up. it's just a dream baby, it's not real. ❞ the words were very similar to ones that she had spoken to a teenage cordelia nineteen years ago. words she never thought she'd have the chance to speak again. // @sorrowssilhouette

coming back to the and of the living and being reunited with her family was proving to be more difficult than juliana had expected. the fact that her own children were having a hard time believing that she was actually herself had been cause enough for the witch to hesitate in reuniting with her grandchildren -- especially the ones who had actually known her, even if just for a brief amount of time.

having been given cameron's permission ( not that she really needed it ), juliana had tracked down casper's place in an attempt to finally reconnect with her grandson. having been let inside, the redhead sat herself on the couch as she waited for the hybrid to arrive home. hearing the click of the door, she sat up a little straighter on the couch and turned to face the door, waiting with anticipation. // @insolentsoul

when she'd first returned to the land of the living, juliana had made it a point to locate her children, which is how she'd found her way to wesley and sierra's house. her daughter-in-law had done a fantastic job at interrogating juliana to make sure that she was who she said she was before letting her inside their home.

having been back in new orleans for about a month now, the witch had made numerous visits to this very same household. standing in her son's kitchen, juliana offered sierra a gentle smile. ❝ thank you again for letting me crash your family dinner, sierra. ❞ she hummed softly as she leaned against the nearby counter. ❝ what can i do to help? ❞ // @ofxdevotion
