Going into this project, i made sure i researched the company we are respesting in our designs. Through my research i found that a big part of Macs company is their strong ethos of which constists of heavy inclusivity and equality. “All ages, genders and colours” is a slogan that is usual associated with macs promotions. The company has a policy of making sure anyone and everyone is included into the beauty world. This makes sure anyone and everyone can be invloved into the world of makeup and feeling beautiful. with many colour friendly products aswell as “concious beauty” which refers to knowing what is going into your makeup products aswell as how theyre made, Mac being a cruelty free brand, they talk about how theyre working towards a artistry and open beauty world aswell as how theyre working towards a sustainable one too, reducing their environmental impact, with this having a “take-back program” which encourages recycling their products.
Alongside, I created a moodboard for all of these subjects to create a more direct way of showing about the specific and in depth subjects in a faster way, including images and layering to show a story. Including things such as the lgbtq+ community, genders, different ages as well as colours which are key in the equality side of Mac.
COMPANY
Mac has been a part of Estée Lauder companies since 1994 and are currently being sold in over 120 countries. As a company they focus on diversity and having a commitment to concious beauty meaning having thought into what products you use. I made this moodboard with all their iconic branding such as outhere collabs & adverts, their iconic red and their iconic matte lipsticks. This moodboard i created to showcase Mac as a company and my understanding of it. This ensures that i keep the company that im respresenting is shown.
