WDs design for my Wonderfully Wicked au!!!!!

aaaaaaa!!!!!!! im so happy with how this came out!!!!!!! her outfit was both easy to design and like..... so hard... at the same time...

it draws very clear inspo from Fiyeros Gale Force uniform in Wicked: For Good, but i also tried to keep it matching with my AUs theme! also i kep at least Some of her armor..... she deserves it.....

the dark blue half of her uniform is inspired by ripleys hat!!! she carries a piece of her next to her heart, even though theyre on opposing sides (thats what the people think, at least....)

i changed a couple things to fit with the pre-existing map of wonderlust, so The Vinkus has been replaced with the Time Dragon Country (cogtopolis......) (also working name shhhhhh.....) and the Gale Force is now the Frost Force!!!!!!!!

im still deciding if she gets her cool warhammer or if she gets Fiyeros gun, but i think the warhammer will appear in her Other design........

need to do a lot of work on the other designs and....... how WDs other design will work............ but hopefully more art will come soon!!!!!!

wonderlust x wicked au ive been thinking about!!!!

aaaaaa!!!!!!! i love how my wicked witch ripley design turned out!!!! im super proud of it actually..... i took some inspo from elphabas outfit in Wicked: For Good (from what we've seen so far) and also a lot of ripleys canon outfit and her colourscheme!!!

also designed her hat!!!!! it was given to her by troy......... hes glinda.......... it was too perfect of a fit, im afraid....

also this is 100% a brainblast au (i am a yuri fan Forever) so a WD design is in the works!!!! i have to make 2 for her (if you are aware whats up with fiyero in act 2............ you understand........) so im still working out how exactly the Other one will look......

im still working out who everyone is but!!! i have LOTS of ideas..... also magic in this world is kinda of like....... mixed with tech? like how they use wonderous coal in wonderlust........ i need to work out how it Actually works but for now!!!!! thats my explanation!!!

aaaaa!!!!! the finale!!!!!!! im so so thrilled about it!!!!! i have so many writing ideas and SO many art ideas,,,,,,,

i know i mentioned it in a previous post, but i LOVE how ripley and wd's story ended (or just begun...), and it was seriously my favourite moment out of like.... all jrwi..... maybe im biased because im a lesbian and love some good yuri, but it just felt so real and it just means so much to me to see sapphic character get a happy ending.

i saw this apple trend on twit and its been stuck in my head, so i decided to draw brainblast!!!!!! ive never drawn an apple, like...... the inside before...... so it was a new experience!!!!!

i knew ripley wouldnt reject wd because she LITERALLY made her a magical wrench and like, ESPECIALLY IN THE FINALE where wd gets inspiration from her smile, which. i know. could just be from wd's perspective and nothing to do with ripley, but i can FEEL it in my bones....trust..... that was all ripley.......

anywhosies!!!! their kiss was so so sweet and both of them wanting to stay together forever just means so much to me. i was seriously bawling!!! like!!! it was so beautiful!!!!!!! i have so many thoughts, so more posts coming soon.......

MAJOR WONDERLUST FINALE SPOILERS!!!!!!

WD finally confessing how she feels and Ripley finally finding someone who loves her for her and not for being the inventor, someone who wants to stay by her side *forever*, is the most beautiful conclusion (or beginning!) for their story. the fact that she replaced the portraits Ripley made of the “Inventor” with a painting made with so much love of the real Inventor just shows how much she loves her. their love is so beautiful and real and close-knit from their years of knowing eachother, im seriously at a loss for words.

seriously, thank you for writing WD in such an authentic way, it means so much to me, especially as a sapphic girl. i cannot express how much she and Ripley mean to me, i have been BAWLING over them. thank you AGAIN to Bizly and you for the most heartfelt story. 🩷🩷🌷🌷

WD and Ripley are genuinly my favourite pc and npc in the entirety of jrwi, they mean the whole entire world to me :(

i hope they get to talk about their feelings in the finale, and like,,,, even if they dont get together or anything, WD is writing her own story and acting on her feelings, which is incredibly important and powerful to me. i also love the idea of her finding her own calling, whatevr it may be (NOT and inventor, clearly), and if she choses to keep helping Ripley, even just as a side thing, its HER choice and she is making her own mark on the world. (in a way, she already has! with her choices to help RIpley and now to help Runt, Troy, and Blnk, as well as saving Ripley)

i also miss Ripley :( her character is so important to me too, i really REALLY hope that she creates inventions under her own name because she WILL have people who want someone who is just like them to be the one shooting for the stars. she means the worls to me aaaahhh!!!!!

also,,,Ripley literally augmented WDs wrench for her, an invention JUST FOR HER. if that isnt love, i have no idea what is,,,

i really hope they get their happy ending (or as good of one as they can get) in the finale :3

people forget how smart Magnus is. yeah, Annabeth is the daughter of Athena, but in sword of summer it's explicitly stated that Magnus could've easily gotten into Harvard with his grades. like. this man was a straight A-student, and smarter than both his middle-aged uncles, one who's a literal professor and the other who taught at Harvard. athena is probably looking down upon Magnus on Olympus and saying, "yeah, that bitch is totally my daughter's cousin."

Let’s talk more about accents in the Riordanverse!

• Percy with rounded New York vowels and that quick run-together way of saying his sentences. Percy with an accent you can’t quite place until he orders some coffee or water.

• Annabeth with a Virginia drawl and long vowels that don’t quite go away, even after years on Long Island Sound. Annabeth, who will randomly spit out phrases like “nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs”, whose cup always fills with sweet tea in the mess hall/

• Carter with a fairly standard American accent until he pronounces a word so bizarrely it’s clear he must have learned it halfway across the globe. Carter, who gets slightly antsy in the same place for too long and goes to language classes at night just for an excuse to practice.

• Sadie with a London accent that’s begun to fade after years in Brooklyn House, who accidentally says “cheers” when people hold the door for her. Sadie, who skips over her t’s and who drops consonants and, like Carter, isn’t exactly sure where her home is.

• Magnus and Alex with strong Boston accents and nasally a’s that Hearth is glad he can’t hear. Magnus, whose accent gets stronger in battle, who intentionally leans into it when he’s on the West Coast. Alex, who makes people guess where she’s from and tells them something different every time, who argues with Magnus over whose accent is stronger.

• Jason Grace with languid California vowels, who drops the end of every word when he’s relaxed and over-enunciates when he’s in charge. Jason, whose accent is only present when he’s comfortable.

• Leo Valdez with a Texan accent to boot and quick clipping consonants, whose accent sounds nearly the same as Annabeth’s to the untrained ear, but insists that they’re completely different every time someone brings it up.

• Hazel Levesque with a thick New Orleans accent, whose vocabulary is peppered with French and old-fashioned phrases and the occasional Southern saying. Hazel, who sticks to Deep South manners (and passive-aggression, when necessary), who orders in French when she goes to a bakery and watched old black-and-white movies when she feels homesick.

• Frank, who sounds American except for when he says “sorry”, who speaks a bit of Canadian French (which Hazel hates, because she can’t understand it), and gets teased every time he says “about”.

• Piper with a slight valley-girl sound that she’s worked hard to get rid of, but tends to slip into when she’s tired or angry. Piper, whose voice becomes sweet and soothing in charmspeak, who understands every fluctuation and intonation and how to use them to her advantage.

• Nico di Angelo with a seemingly standard American accent, until you pick up on the odd transatlantic pronunciation or Italian rolled “r”. Nico with an arsenal of phrases so jumbled and eclectic that people do a double take when he talks.

Just. Yeah. Riordanverse accents.
