I’m kind of surprised there hasn’t been a prequel to The Mummy based on the Carnahan parents?

Evelyn said that her father was a “very, very famous explorer” and that her Egyptian mother was “quite an adventurer herself”? The Carnahans were the biggest contributors to the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo. They would’ve had to recover a lot of artifacts to earn that distinction.

A prequel could focus on just the archeological side of things since Evy and Jonathan didn’t grow up believing in curses being real. Just pure history and adventure.

I know the US government acts like a corporation but it’s not.

Not voting isn’t the same as a boycott. Because you can’t bankrupt a government by not voting. All you get by not voting is less control over what the money is doing.

The money comes from taxes, not voting. Abstaining from voting does nothing to reduce the governments ability to get money and spend it on shit.

So yes, sometimes you vote to reduce harm because not voting WILL NOT REDUCE HARM.

It’s not a boycot. Abstaining doesn’t take power from the government. It just reduces the number of people they feel answerable to.

With so many elections coming up worldwide it's probably a good time to remind everyone that tumblr once got infested with agents trying to convince everyone not to vote, or not to vote left because the candidates weren't morally pure enough.

Also a reminder that they were better at tumblr than most of us, comrade interloper was great at memeing. Like, the talent!

Anyway don't fall for it. There is no morally pure option.
