i've actually been doing worldbuilding for this guy tho and i've gone in such a wildly different direction
but consider. semi-solarpunk post apocalypse thing, ft. Lets heal the world with music and art and the power of friendship, and maybe there's evil robots or some shit as a treat
like if you combined no straight roads, hi-fi rush and stray. i think.

"Hah-"
Markus stifles a nasally laugh with his hand, trying to play it off as a scratch of his chin. He's dealt with plenty a hungover compadre in his time.
"I've been there. I don't remember half of my twenties because I was busy getting shitfaced. Or stoned. Or both on a good day." …Not that he doesn't still do that now. Just not as much. He shakes his head and pushes out his chair, which squeaks against the floor.
"You hang tight, I'll make you somethin'. Think I've got some instant ramen somewhere…" He says, already scanning the barren cabinets. Instant meals are all he's got, really. The man can't cook to save his life.
"drink. eat. it will help." - mark^2 @junkrocker if u want!!
"I know, I know."
Twain groans; he's being difficult on purpose, though the idea of consuming literally anything right now actually does make him want to be sick for real. There's a damn good reason he'd quit drinking back in his Guild days. Granted, it hadn't had much to do with the hangovers, but looking back he thinks it definitely should have.
It's been over four years since he'd even touched the stuff last. Once upon a time, there might have been people who cared he was breaking that streak, but ...
"Lemme just---shit!" Trying to sit up properly has Twain clutching at his head. He definitely hadn't missed this part of it. But he's had worse pain in his life, so he shoulders through it after a second. "Sorry. Haven't drank like that in a good while. I'll just go make some cereal or some shit."
ordinary monsters. / accepting ( @junkrocker ) .

The words prompt Mark to raise an eyebrow. It's certainly not the weirdest thing he's heard from someone who's bought him a drink, but it's up there.
"Ah. That's rough, buddy," he chuckles, hand dramatically coming up to his chest as if he's been wounded. "Good 'ol Mark Thorne? Rocks the hell out of this joint every month or so? Punk rock cowboy?"
Of course, he's leaving out the other things. Washed-up, corrupting the youth with his music and debauchery, et cetera-
"Is this just like… a thing you've got, or did you hit your head or something? If I may ask."
@junkrocker // continued
Baseball on the tv. The Pirates and the Phillies are at play, but Blair hasn't been paying much attention to America's Past Time. Or whatever people called it. He thinks he used to like baseball, but now he's more or less indifferent to it. He'd been a Red's fan, if only because Cincinnati was the closest baseball team to where he'd grown up in Kentucky.
He'd been watching the people around him at the bar, not the baseball. Watching the weird man who he was sure he recognized from somewhere, but couldn't place where. Best way he knew to strike up a conversation was with alcohol, so he motions the bartender and says he'll buy that weird guy a drink.
When Weird Guy asks that question, Blair knows he must know him somehow, but he still can't place from where, when, or what. He laughs, taking a sip of his own drink, and leans back.
"i got memory issues, boss. real whacked up in the noggin." He knocks on his head, very lightly with a closed fist. "you'll have to remind me what i'm a fan of."

∗ 53﹕ sender buys receiver a drink at a bar . - blair
🎶 ... nonverbal prompts - acceptin'!!
The loud cacophony of some baseball game blaring on the TVs, the clinking of glass and the chatter of a crowd is a noise Mark's gotten far too used to. He wonders how well he's playing the part of the shady, brooding, mystery man at the bar. Like he's ready to hand out a damn sidequest or something.
Well enough, it seems, if he's been bought a drink by this… interesting character (not that he of all people should be judging).
"For me, eh? You a fan?" He tilts his head, offering a crooked, cocky grin. He can't help but ask.

anyway his #1 favorite vibe is christmas and his second is cowboys. he loooves the idea and aesthetic of cowboys.
i think he also may have a genuine belief that he was a cowboy in a past life 😭 but that's his secret.
