"As Polly got more frightened, Ben grew more fearless until reaching the point that safeguarding her became a necessary element of the adventure. Polly, for her part, also recognised this dynamic and allowed it because sometimes, when faced with a terrifying unknown, it was quite nice to have someone take your hand and hold it." - Short Trips: Lost and Found

Okay, I know this is an unpopular opinion but... I actually really like Death to the Daleks!
(If you disagree, good! Art is subjective, live your life bestie <333) Spoilers btw
The story is just very fun and unique, seeing the Daleks stripped of their weapons and forced to collaborate only to build themselves back up makes them an exceptional villain. We see their ingenuity even when their key strengths have been taken from them. Also their design in this serial is just top notch, being literal 60s Dalek props but with the silver and black colour scheme. Beautiful.
The Exxilon assistant the Doctor befriends is quite charming and I really enjoy his screen time, the Exxilons in general have a striking appearance.
Sarah Jane Smith! That's my whole argument, Sarah Jane Smith!
There are so many iconic little moments here:
The Daleks using mini tardises as target practice
The infamous "stop, don't move!" cliffhanger
"I can sink anywhere"
evil hose
The entirety of the opening sequence in and around the TARDIS.
The tests of superior intellect are comically bad, but let's not forget that fan favourite Pyramids of Mars sees the tomb of Sutekh defended by the literal two guards riddle and a measurement puzzle (even Sarah Jane makes the comparison) 😭 it's a silly show!
Overall I honestly feel this is a more enjoyable story than Day of the Daleks for me which I came out of actively underwhelmed. This has such a poor reputation and that may be because the show had been cooking on 'Oops! All Bangers' for the entirety of Three's run and this weird little interjection is sandwiched in the middle of a season that Introduced Sarah Jane, Introduced Sontarans, Fought Dinosaurs, Returned to Peladon, and Regenerates Three. This is a top tier season!! Expectations are HIGH.
I just think this deserves to sit at the cool kids table too <3
Oh, I guess he didn't want to sit at the cool kids table after all 😭

I still think it's just so funny in The Moonbase when Jamie jumps over a big rock and then get knocked unconscious, leaving him bedridden for the next two episodes
