joey just stood there as juno glared at him, his smile never once fading as he shoved his hands in his pockets in an attempt to warm them, nodding his head slowly. âthatâs cool! wait, why unfortunately? donât you like working there? i thought everyone liked working at skyline mediaâŠâ he said, his head tilting to the side as he looked down at the bags that juno had put down, then back at her, his smile fading for a couple of seconds when the other said he couldnât burn one. âoh, thatâs okay, i donât smoke⊠hey, are you throwing a party? because thatâs a lot of drinks.â he said, motioning towards the bags that the other had put down. âwait, is there a party for everyone that works there? because i wasnât invited. maybe i should check my phone!â he said, taking out his cracked phone out of his pocket and looked for some sort of text, but didnât get lucky. ânope, nothing.â he said with a sigh.
juno gave up on trying to do everything at once, set the bags down, then lit their cigarette. âitâs the man, man.â she told the other. of course, they werenât going to give away too much information on their distaste for their bosses, so theyâd leave it at that. taking a drag, she shook her head, âno party...â suspiciously, they peered over at his phone and frowned, âwhat are you doing there?â she shook her head, âthereâs no party dude-- hey-- what the fuck?â frantically, juno snatched his phone from his hands, âwhy are you texting people that iâm having a party?â they squinted more critically, âwhatâs that word there you tried to spell?â

it had been a long day for elly. actually, scratch that, it had been a long week for elly. she had been looking forward to the weekend since the beginning for the week and is desperate to go home and unwind. to ensure a good weekend, as the day goes by, she began checking off the checklist that sheâs made up in her head.Â
the last item on her list was to get herself some cheap booze. her parents had forbidden her to use the credit card to purchase alcohol or any other substances, but they had not said anything about her using her own money to get herself a drink or two. about a month ago, elly had found a tiny liquor store just outside of the studio. and so there she went.Â
just as she was about to pay for her bottle, she noticed something glimmering on the ground. she had always had eyes on anything bright and shiny, so this was no surprise. after finishing her purchase, she quickly ran to pick up said thing, taking notes of itâs unique shape and vibrant colours, while noticing there was another person walking away from her. rather quickly, elly made an assumption that the other person had accidentally dropped off their keychain.Â
getting a sudden sense of or urgency, she began running to catch up to the other person, all whilst trying to call out to them. âhey !! hey, you !!â she ran and ran, as quickly as she could possibly ran in these heeled-boots.Â
she stoped running only once she caught up with the other person. âhey,â she started, panting heavily, âyou left this.â elly slowly opened her hands, revealing the keychain sheâd been holding on to.Â
juno didnât like being yelled at, in fact, she didnât even like being talked to, so when a stranger ran up to her, heels clicking and all, she did her best to ignore it. it seemed they were out of luck though as the other opened their palm to reveal a brightly colored keychain. not junoâs, just to set the record straight. embarrassed by the notion she might own something so colorful, she vocalized, âthatâs not mine.â it was however, the property of a girl they had hooked up with in the past week. typically, she wouldnât even bother giving the thing back, but in part of an ongoing effort to be better she was going to try to. âi do need it though.â they snatched the keychain from the otherâs hand, bottles smashing around in the bag they did as they shoved it in their pocket. when the other did not leave after that exchange, juno made it clear that she should with a curt, âyou can go.â Â

she was by no means confrontational. but there was something about juno that got under her skin and dara knew it was obvious on her face whenever she saw them. it wasnât that hard to be a decent person. or at least it shouldnât have been. but juno made it difficult. she stepped back when the papers were waved in her face and scrunched her nose in disapproval of the action. âi can see that,â she replied flatly. the comment on her appearance had daraâs face reddening in embarrassment and her growing even more defensive. âiâm here early so i can avoid the afternoon rush⊠so i can avoid people.â the âlike youâ was heavily implied by the pause that followed. âyouâre clearly a people-person though, so iâm surprised youâre trudging outside your apartment any time before noon. have you even slept?â dara looked them over and then set her eyes down the hall as she prayed for the mailperson to hurry up already. sheâd timed it, so hopefully she wouldnât need to bear junoâs company too long.
âwhy are you asking about my sleeping habits?â juno furrowed their brows, âweirdo.â she was mostly defensive because she in fact had not slept, probably smelled like barf, and wasnât fooling anyone with sunglasses this early in the day. juno couldâve easily retreated to their apartment, but that wouldnât have been as fun as it was to mess with dara. leaning against the mail lockers, she let out a long sigh and cast dara a pointed look, âif you donât like people, be my guest, leave.â then, just to spite her, juno began flipping through their mail, going as far to open up a couple of envelopes to really drive home the point that they werenât going anywhere. after a few minutes, curious about daraâs response, she asked, âdo you have a problem with me?âÂ

Taylorâs brows furrowed together when Juno mentioned she didnât ask. âI mean-.. You asked if I take this bus.. so you kind of did.â Her voice got quieter as she spoke, deciding to drop the conversation there. It wasnât until the other spoke up again that she brought her attention back. âItâs alright⊠Itâs cold and no one really wants to be standing here waiting for a bus that shouldâve been here way earlier.â She shrugged, âSomethingâs wrong with the gas gauge or something.. I donât really know car stuff, but my tank would say empty despite the fact Iâd just filled it.â
yeah, yeah, yeah. blondie was stating the obvious. it was freezing, the bus was late, and juno was for once reasonably grumpy. it was easier to talk about the car than the present situation, âprobably a fuel line leak, but maybe your dash is just fucked.â they shrugged their phone out of their pocket and checked the time 10:30.  âthirty minutes. damn.â she breathed out. âmight as well walk at this point.â juno collected their things, then glanced at the blonde, âyou going this way?â

they were asking for it! juno would go to their grave insisting upon that. with some liquor in her and a group of assholes to her left, she didnât hesitate to open her mouth to bark some fighting words in that direction. alex, just as feisty and at their side, wasted no time escalating things into physicality. of course, this resulted in the both of them getting kicked out with a few more bruises and bloodied knuckles than before. taking a cigarette from their own pack, they looked over to alex and laughed wryly, âit was your fault.â debatable. âbut hopefully all of âem in vancouver. what do you think?â

WHOSE FAULT WAS IT THIS TIME? it was hard to say, since they both seemed to be ready to start some sort of FIGHT in there, after poking at a particularly⊠COLORFUL group of people who mumbled some things under their breath that juno didnât seem to like so much. so here they were, out on the streets again. HOWEVER, alex was quick to point a finger. âhow many more bars around here are you gonna get us blacklisted from, juno?â he scoffs, a playful tone to his voice. he scrambles through his pocket for his pack of cigarettes.

The brisk cold was something Taylor was still struggling to get used to. She pulled her coat tighter around her body, wondering why sheâd even agreed to go out in the first place. Her car refused to start, and while it was stuck in the shop, she found herself standing at the bus stop. She hadnât taken busses since she was a kid, and this was definitely not the same. It wasnât until the other had spoken that sheâd even realized she was staring. âOh! Iâm-.. Sorry⊠I didnât even realize I was staring, thatâs.. really rude of me..â Her eyes opened wider, glancing around âYeah.. I mean.. I donât usually, but tonight I am.. Carâs in the shop..â
đ
âyeah. it was really rude of you.â no qualms there. everyone here felt way nosier than they did in new york. it was like being in kansas all over again.as the blonde explained her car was in the shop, juno rolled their eyes, âdidnât ask.â she readjusted how she was sitting, bottles clinking as she did. this was the type of cold that turned noses red and made breath visible. where the fuck was the bus? sighing, they realized maybe time would pass quicker if they put forth some effort into conversation. âsorry.â she wasnât. âwhatâs wrong with your car?âÂ

truth be told, junoâs early morning shuffling to her mailbox was an idea born while her head was in the toilet, unable to sleep after last nightâs date with mister tito. how long had it been since theyâd actually been to the mailbox? a few weeks at least...and that was being generous. juno could only hope there werenât any overdue bills in there. initially, juno ignored dara altogether. she didnât respond to her hey or her question, instead, she proceeded with unlocking her box and pulling out a fat stack of mail. juno slammed the mail locker door closed, then waved their mail in daraâs face, âhad some build up.â with no effort to mask her judgement, she looked dara up and down, then smirked, ânice pajamas.â juno didnât love thy neighbor, in fact, juno hateth thy neighbor. dara didnât do anything specifically, she just bugged them, so, that meant war. âwhat are you doing here so early?â juno mocked, âmail hasnât come by yet.âÂ
for:Â @junoknoxââ location:Â the complex mailboxes
the major pro of the complex where she lived? it was close to work. the major con? it was close to work. there were more familiar faces than she wouldâve have liked. a good number of them were both neighbors and co-workers and dara wasnât too sure how she felt about someone from work seeing her get her mail in her pajamas. but she was early â the mail hadnât yet arrived and no one else in their right mind would be early to the mail just to avoid the noon crowd. âoh, forâŠâ but maybe someone in their wrong mind would. dara quickly smoothed out her shirt and tried to make herself a little more presentable as a familiar face rounded the corner. âhey.â it was no secret she wasnât fond of her neighbor. every so often, dara even made it purposely obvious. she just had a low tolerance for obnoxious people. âwhat are you doing out so early? the mail hasnât come by yet.â

joey was just getting off work - it was kind of late (at least for him) and he had been at work all day. okay, maybe he hadnât been doing that much other than getting coffees and making sure some things were in order, but at least it was more than he had ever done before. he made his way to the bus stop so he could go back to his apartment when he saw a familiar face already there. granted that joey wasnât good at memorizing faces, he was sure that he had seen her before. as he was about to speak after a couple of minutes of just standing there in complete silence, joey was taken by surprise when the other spoke, pursing his lips as he stared at her. âoh, hey. and yeah, i do! i mean, i think this is the right bus stopâŠâ he said, looking around for a while and then back at juno. âyou look familiar, do you work at the⊠studio?â he asked, motioning towards nothing as he looked at her. âiâm joey, by the way. joey wilson.â he said with a nod.
đ
what an unpleasant little creature she was engaging with right now. for a long moment, juno glared at the male and merely blinked. hadnât her previous behavior shaken him up at all? this joey character seemed perfectly fine. what the hell? âi work for skyline media...â they sighed. âunfortunately.â she raised her brows, then set her brown bags down with a resounding and repeated clinking so that she could find a cigarette. they dug one in front of their front pocket, lit it, and took a drag. juno wasnât interested in knowing where joey worked, instead she thought it more important to inform him, âyou canât bum one.â Â

WHO: @finalstartersâ & juno knox. WHEN: thursday night WHERE: vancouver bus stop
skyline media could choke on junoâs dick. nothing she wrote was ever right! juno, itâs too dark. juno, we canât air this on television. juno, this is a sitcom, the little boy canât off his own dog. fuck, man. juno knew they were talented, they did, but they just couldnât catch a break. after a stressful day, juno walked from the studio to her favorite liquor store, bought two armfuls of alcohol, and head to the bus stop. if people minded their business, like they should, they would assume juno had groceries in her arms. it was cold and the bus was taking for-fucking-ever. she could feel a pair of eyes burning into her and before she could think she was looking over. really? groaning, they turned away, making it a point that they would not be engaging right now. not in the mood. still, juno felt those damn eyes on him. again, she looked over, âyes?â she started, then shook her head, âwhat the fuck, wait? do you even take this bus?â

( stella, she/they, 20, est, n/a) juno knox has walked on set. theyâre a 23 year-old screenwriter whoâs been working at skyline media for one year. theyâre overly-ambitious, you say? iâd like to think theyâre more passionate. either way, catch them watching girl, interrupted (1999) â chase sui wonders / she/they / lesbian / non-binary
đđđđđđ
FULL NAME: Juno Victoria Knox NICKNAMES: June, Junie, etc BIRTHDAY: December 27th, 1998 AGE: Twenty-Three SUN/MOON/RISING: Capricorn/Aries/Sagittarius ORIENTATION: Lesbian EDUCATION: Bachelor of English w/ a Minor in Film Studies from New York University OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Several internships, lots and lots of turned down screenplays. POSITIVE TRAITS: passionate, outspoken, confident, independent, individualistic, logical NEGATIVE TRAITS: overly-ambitious, stubborn, aloof, emotionally stunted, critical, self destructive.
đđđđđđđđđ đđđđđ
Fleabag (Fleabag) - just an absolute wreck. stubborn through and through. set in her ways, copes with sex, occasionally humor. you love to watch her fuck everything up! also the family disappoint, womp womp. Toph Beifong (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - DO NOT extend help to them, they do not want it and will not accept it. perceive them as anything other than tough as nails and you will get a wack to the face! nothing can jeopardize their cool exterior even everything in their life feels like it is on fire. Jo March (Little Women) - her one true love is WRITING and her CAREER! , temperamental and again, stubborn to a fault. Jughead Jones (Riverdale) - this is mostly a joke but in case you havenât noticed theyâre weird, theyâre a weirdo, they donât fit in and they donât want to fit in. leave them to be a little freak in peace!
đđđ (tw homophobic implications, alcohol mentions)
juno liked girls and juno had a dream. she knew this on christmas day right before her fourteenth birthday when she watched but iâm a cheerleader for the first time away from her parents cautious eyes.Â
their plan included getting the fuck out of kansas no matter what it took. school wasnât easy for them but they worked hard to get into a college that would kickstart their life. juno is a hard worker above anything else. critical of themself, others, and unyielding until their ideal of perfection is reached.
the first 18 years of life prior to nyu were null and void in junoâs mind. nothing notable. it can be a footnote in the juno knox story one day, but nothing to talk about presently.
coming out, unfortunately, was not easy. mr and mrs. knox didnât understand and the high school kids in kansas were mean. juno didnât care for the pity some people gave once she left kansas. it was behind her now. in fact, sheâs been no contact with her parents for a while at this point.Â
here and there, juno gets a call or two from their sibling asking for money, but other than that, theyâre largely on their own.Â
in new york she really honed her craft, made dozens of short films for school, wrote dozens of full length screenplays and television series, but never really made any friends in the process. she always has been and still is the definition of being married to her work. no matter where she is, it isnât good enough and she isnât content. beyond becoming an artist, she really came into herself.
because of their ambitious nature and high standards, itâs been difficult for juno to find work. this is largely in part of their shortcoming in making actually strong connections that are so vital to finding success in the industry.Â
a year ago she struck the closest thing to gold yet. skyline media offered her a full-time position on their staff, and juno knew she would be stupid not to accept. sitcoms arenât exactly what she wants to be making for the rest of her life, in fact, she finds her current position to be a joke, and is deeply unhappy which is causing her to act out in a variety of ways. fighting with her bosses, hook ups left and right, binge drinking, the WORKS. at the end of the day though, she knows nothing can change right now and that beggars canât be choosers and she has to start somewhere before she can take the helm on feature films. so cheers to the slightly concerning behavior!
đđđđđđ đđđđđđđđđđđ
ANYTHING YOU CAN DO I CAN DO BETTER - classic enabler vibes. alex is just as much of a mess as juno, maybe even more! regardless each time juno wants to go off the rails, not only are is alex there to encourage her, heâs ready to jump with her! and of course, this courtesy is extended to him as well. itâs kind of their fucked up version of being best friends...should they go to therapy? ( taken - @ofalex)
WONâT YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? - as much as juno insists they donât have friends, youâre pretty sure they like you. one time they threw your wrongly delivered package at your door (it left a mark) and another time you caught them flipping you off from the window. theyâre so funny! ( taken - @vcntages )
LINE WITHOUT A HOOK - juno would vehemently deny any suspicions about her unrequited and intentionally unknown crush on izzy. thereâs no way izzy, or anyone, knows about it. she treats izzy exactly the same as everyone else, but secretly, she canât get enough of her. juno wonât ever say anything about it though, having a crush is deeply embarrassing. ( taken - @izzyjames )
SEX WITH A GHOST - you and juno are absolutely not good for one another. maybe in another life there couldâve been a relationship for the two of you, but after enough time you got fed up with junoâs bullshit behavior and refusals to commit. it was a real painful mess, and you know youâre wrong for this, but each time you end up in the same proximity it seems you canât help but fall into bed with each other. damn it. ( open )
ROOMMATE WANTED- honestly youâre a saint for daring to live with juno knox. she keeps her shit clean, maybe a little too clean, and you can put up with the random shit banging around in the kitchen at three in the morning when you know sheâs writing. sure, sheâs a little intense, but youâre fond of her. like a pet dog. ( taken - @xquietonsetx )
