mvyeol‌:

          min muyeol is a good son, and that’s not just a self-proclaimed title;  it’s the truth.  he cleans after himself, gives good first impressions, and most importantly, he always answers the phone the first time his parents call.  today is no exception.  but just as he answers, junsu says that.  YIKES, INDEED.  his mother goes quiet  &  muyeol laughs—nervously so—and finally, finally, she speaks:  “he will be fined for indecent exposure.”  to which muyeol responds,  “don’t worry.  he won’t actually do it.”  his mother makes an incoherent noise, likely out of disapproval, before changing the topic.  they chat for a few more minutes then bid their farewells with promises to call later tonight.  &&  when the other line silences, muyeol turns to junsu, lips pursed.

          “i think … you just lost the LAST of my mother’s respect for you.”  as bad as that sounds, he figures it’s not big news;  his mother has never really liked junsu in the first place.  “you’re not actually gonna jump in naked, right?”  he tries to keep a straight face—but that’s damn near impossible with junsu.  the corners of his eyes crinkle with AMUSEMENT, the curves of his lips quickly following suit.  “i won’t follow you in, buuut i’ll pay off your fine if you get caught.”   ╱ ☆

         the second that junsu realizes that muyeol’s phone is pressed against his ear is just a second too late, and somehow he just knows that it’s the other’s mother on the line. of course. of course it is, because jun has the absolute worst luck in the entire world and mu’s mother is his arch nemesis. he’s convinced that they're meeting again in this life because they knew one another in a past life—the other’s mother was s u r e l y someone like mulan, the savior of china herself, with junsu as her nemesis shan yu, ( almost ) destroyer of china. they’re long lost enemies, fated to never like one another, except in this life junsu is kind of in love with her son and gets him into a lot of shit that she disapproves of; a lot less INTENSE than their previous lives.

         he spends the minute or two that muyeol is still on the phone mulling over those thoughts and quite literally praying to himself that mu’s mother won’t actually murder him one day. “i was thinking about it, but now i’m thinking about your mom. which sounds weird, i get it, but like. i really think she’d kill me if she wouldn’t go to jail for it,” he states, absolutely convinced of his words. “just like i’m really tempted to skinny dip in the fountain but i’m afraid that they’re gonna throw me in jail with some creeps with beards. i really don’t like beards.”

cirisms‌:

kyle describing things to ciri all day was probably the only way he had any sort of idea what was going on. it would’ve just been a blur without some sort of guide to go on anyway. but the fountain, he doesn’t really need told too much about.. mostly because how much could a fountain need describing, right? it was just a big statue and water.. probably more than that, but ciri was the greatest at descriptions of things. 

he can’t deny he’s tired either, mostly just from all the walking and driving from earlier, but he yawns a little, resting his head on the shoulder next to him who he knows is junsu, mostly because he’d been by his side most of the day at this point. that being said, he can only sigh at his friend now. “no. you’re not getting naked anywhere in public– you might traumatise someone,” he teases a little. “but seriously.. no.”

if not for the fact that he’s certain ciri can hear the flowing water of the fountain and have the common sense to make out what it is, he would’ve taken a moment to explain what they’re looking at and why they’ve stopped to take a longer look at it. junsu’s fingers find the other’s waist when ciri rests his head upon his shoulder, and he grins wider at the show of affection. it’s what he thrives on, really, he doesn’t need much else to keep him going but attention from his favorite people. thankfully, they’re all aware of that and provide more than enough of anything junsu ever wants or asks for.

“but.. it would make me so happy to do it,” jun whines in response with a pout that he knows ciri can hear from his tone, giving a little squeeze to his waist. “isn’t my happiness more important than, like, whatever it is that might traumatise some random person i’ll never see again in my life??”

the botanica gardens of wichita is their first little stop on the trip, and while they’ve only been gone for about three hours from their hometown, junsu is already thinking about how nice it is to stretch his legs and enjoy the fresh air. though, he’s more than happy spending time with his favorite people in the world no matter what the conditions.

one of the main attractions of the gardens is a beautiful tiered fountain, and while he saw the pictures online, he’s even more mesmerized by the sight ahead of him. after some long, deep thought, which was probably about thirty seconds of staring at the fountain and tuning out everything around him, junsu turns to the person next to him. “i wanna get naked and jump in the fountain.”

they got separated somehow in going to the store to grab food, and it’s not that junsu was ignoring kyle’s calls; his phone is in his pocket and he genuinely didn’t feel it ringing. he likes that there’s a bit of concern laced in his usual agitated tone towards junsu, though, it brings up a fondness in him that makes him want to kiss the older boy. there’s a smug sort of aura coming from junsu as kyle nears him, and he immediately closes the distance between them to press himself up against the other’s side and take hold of his upper arm with both of his hands. “i wanted you to come find me,” he answers sweetly, leaning in to press his lips against kyle’s cheek.

there’s visible shock on junsu’s features, taken aback by woobin’s words and the tingles he feels in his lips at the kiss that was just placed on his lips. it’s not any sort of negative shock, more of a ‘ what in the world just happened ’ kind of shock. his fingers come to brush over his lips, trying to find something tangible to ground him from rising into the clouds. there’s no words he can find to explain how the other boy’s actions were causing him to feel, so he just leans in for another kiss in hopes that it wasn’t just something woobin was doing to be funny.
