The Galilean moons

These are some of Jupiter’s moons, though she has 95. These four are her closest and are actually in the story, especially Europa. Jupiter is a mother figure to her moons, even though they usually only refer to her by name.

Io- He is sort of a crybaby and whines about stuff. He’s constantly shaking and he’s just kind of like …a volcanic scaredy cat that looks like actual cheese. He coughs a lot of Sulfur dioxide. He also hates change and rule breaking, it scares him.

Europa- She was pretty close to Jupiter but it’s become more strained the longer Jupiter has stayed distant from the other planets. She hates Ganymede because he makes fun of her all the time for being the smallest of the four (even though the Galilean moons are some of the biggest moons of our solar system) she is like her mother in a few ways, sometimes too much like Jupiter.

Callisto- He is the oldest and calmest, he tries to keep things stable between his siblings and tries to keep everyone civil. He is actually the oldest moon in our solar system. He is logical and tries to handle things carefully.

Ganymede- He is the biggest of the four and of any moon, he makes fun of his siblings for being smaller and he likes himself or tries to. He wants to be close to his mother, but he is kind of scared of Jupiter.

The planets! But where is Jupiter? She doesn’t come around anymore…

As explained with Saturn. She hosts alignments (meetings) to talk to the other planets sometimes. Jupiter doesn’t come around anymore. Anyways I also just wanted to draw them together.

ALSO some moons are there. Earth’s Moon, sometimes called Moony, I won’t go in too deep of info, I’ll make posts about the moons individually. Then there is Titan, Saturn’s moon. Funfact Titan is bigger than Mercury and Moony, then if you look closely, there is Mars’ tiny tiny little moons Phobos (the slightly bigger one) and Diemos.

The inner planets

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars

Mercury: he’s silly, weird, thinks of random questions, but he also is wary of the future. He likes being around Venus. He’s scared of the sun.

Venus: She tries to be proud of herself, though sometimes she wishes she could have been habitable like Earth. Hates mars. Has a soft spot for Mercury

Earth: She’s chill and tries to remain calm most of the time, but he does struggle with having life because somehow humans survived this long and this is very alarming but Earth is in denial of that.

Mars: He’s very wary of everything and kind of dramatic but he has a deep fear of humans. He’s seen how long they’ve survived and every disaster the caused, somehow they managed to survive for so long.

I’m only noting this once: planets don’t wear clothes. This is because they are planets and despite the fact they are humanoid it doesn’t make sense to have them wear clothes. In old art I do have outfits for them, and they can be drawn in them but they Arent necessary since they’re planets. They can’t do anything weird so there is no point.

Also I only just decided this but Innerplanets have four fingers while outer planets only have three, I know it’s not shown here but I just decided that for small details.

Jupiter- she’s distant and doesn’t really come around much unless she needs to. She hates who she use to be and regrets everything she ever did. She misses Saturn

Saturn- She’s emotional and protective at times, she’s scared of losing her moons so she doesn’t let them too close or too far. She’s basically the planets “leader” if you will, she hosts alignments (what you’d call meetings lol) where they can talk, but Jupiter doesn’t come to those anymore.

Uranus- They joke around a lot and are never serious. They like to bother Neptune. However, THEY HATE jokes about their name. They will correct you on how to say it’s name.

Neptune- He is sarcastic, logical but not very expressive. However, he is empathetic and can notice when something is wrong with one of the other celestial bodies. He has to take care of Pluto sometimes. Despite how annoyed he might seem, he doesn’t actually mind Uranus bothering them.

Before someone asks “where’s Pluto”, well he’s just sooo special he’ll have to get his own post to himself! (and the other dwarf planets)

Hello welcome! This is my blog for my planets!

If you don’t know me, You can call me Montague, I write and draw. This blog was created so I can share my characters and bits of their story, both current and outdated lore, art, lore dumps, and other random things related to my silly humanised planets.

Their offical story I am working on is a story that follows the planets 5 billion years from now and focuses on the planets dealing with their issues, namely Jupiter, Earth, Venus, and Saturn, but also the slow rift between Jupiter and her moon, Europa. The story hints of the past between Jupiter and Saturn and their complicated history together while Mercury tries to warn everyone of the near fate of their star and that would lead to their own fates which the Galaxy collision follows and changes a lot of things. The fate of our gas giants may become something..let’s say bright?

The story plays on space theories such as The Grand Tack of Jupiter, Theia, The sun becoming a red giant, the Andromeda/milkway collison, and hints of other things.

Most of what I post will be art related to information about them or their past. I am not always consistent so bare with me, but I am working the best I can so I hope my planets can grab your interest as I’d love to share them with you.
