Amaya went up to Mephisto without the slightest bit of hesitation, holding a little bundle of... something in her hands.

"Got you a little somethin'," she explained simply, opening her hands towards him to show off the shiny gears of various shapes, sizes, and colors, all neatly contained in the navy blue cloth she was using to hold them.

"You can take as many as you want, to do whatever you want with. Gotta grow your hoard, right?" she teased playfully, winking at him. She does not need more caffeine.

mephisto’s eyes start glowing even brighter at the sight of all the pretty and shiny little gears. he caws happily, then starts sifting through all the pieces.

he’s definitely going to take her up on the offer. at risk of being scolded for filling up his chassis with stuff again, he starts swallowing some of the smallest ones that looked like they could be use to his tinkerer of an owner, while the bigger ones get set aside to be carried by talon.

Emah waves to the crow in the distance.

“Mephisto! Happy Echo day you little enigma! I have something for you, you might like them!”

She pulls out a small pouch, and spreads out small little trinkets of varying things, a gold key and a red gem among them.

“I found some of these and thought of you. How could I forget you?”

the crow sees her with his little crow eyes and flies to her, interest piqued and the promise of trinkets highly effective in making him book it.

he lands on her shoulder, careful not to dig his claws into her shoulder. might be some little holes in her clothes, though.

after admiring the goodies from a higher perch, he flies down and starts examining them from up close. then he looks back up at her, eyes shining.

caw, caw!

he’s happy.

Lily hummed happily as she approached Mephisto on his perch, unable to help giggling a little bit as she did.

"Don't think you're getting excluded from the festivities, cutie," she teased lightly, holding up a small, relatively simple, bowtie she'd made him using some ruby-red yarn to match his eyes and accents.

"It's okay if you don't want to wear it or anything, of course, you can just put it somewhere you want."

he eyes the little bow with indecision very evident in his glowing red eyes.

on one hand… no likey wearing thingies. but on the other, it’s azure echo day and she did say this looked handmade.

so after battling with himself a little, he lifts his hear to make it easier to access his neck. his feathers puff up—hurry!

Okay, since Sylus is now in the game and the crow actually has a name and a kinda silly personality (who knew he’d be a comedic presence tbh shdjshsa), I’m thinking about doing a little bit of blog renovation and changing the direction a little.

Originally I was going for more of vaguely horror-ish kind of vibe, but most interactions with the crow turned out to either be silly or sweet—and tbh I’ve sort of embraced the sillies more than stick to trying to be a creepy spy crow. With Sylus revealed + me also running a Sylus gimmick blog, I think I could maybe stand to keep it more unserious here. For funsies.

Which isn’t to say I won’t be accepting serious plots with the crow or dropping threads that aren’t lighthearted fun, but I just wanna have this be Mephisto’s funtime as a sort of breath of fresh air compared to Sylus.

Sending this to everyone who try to hurt me cause I have a really cute crow who protect and stalk really great.

The crow peers into your phone screen, angling its head so that it can read the text on the screen better.

It caws in delight after taking a moment to process then flies off for a second, returning a minute later with something it its break.

It's... A bullet??? And it gently places it by your feet.

If you've been wanting to talk to the man who's been monitoring the bird's live feed all this time, I've finally given in and got a Sylus blog going:

Do note that since there's like... Zero information on his personality or background, this is currently almost completely headcanon—or plainly, an OC until he finally debuts next month. So everything is subject to change, but I'll be keeping this current version of Sylus as a muse once we actually do have canon Sylus info.
