The Iberian Union

The Iberian Union was birthed after Portugal capitulated to the Kingdom of Spain in 1920. Spain joined the Mittelmächte 1917, after it became apparent that France was slowly loosing the War. Germany convinced Spain by offering them the Pyrenees and Gibraltar, and everything it could conquer beyond that. France was pushed Back in the beginning, but that ended when Portugal seized the Moment to attack Spain over Galicia. The two fronts war overwhelmed the spanish forces, so that their glorious advance turned into a Desperate defense. Germany sent some troops from the now collapsed Eastern front to stabillize the Situation, but relief only came in 1919, when France finally collapsed. Originally Germany intended to include Portugal in the Capitulation, but Spain insisted that it wanted to conquer all of Portugal. Since Portugal never formally joined the Entente, Germany accepted and Spain began It's conquest of its smaller neighbor. 1920 the Queen of Portugal begged for Peace and submitted her Land to the Spanish Crown. After a surprisingly Short consolidation campaign, Spain Changed its Name officially to the Iberian Union. The 1920s and 30s remained prosperous for Iberia, Gibraltar provided it with a massive Toll income, and Portugals Former colonies graced it with exotic goods Formerly unobtainable for the General Population. This ended when the American Invasion began in 1939. Iberia was Theater of some of the fiercest Battles, the Siege and widespread destruction of Lissabon one of them. After 2 years the combined Iberian and Italian Forces managed to defeat the American Invaders. In the wake of the counter-invasion of America itself Iberia focused on the spanish speaking parts of the AUS. Exploiting several Uprisings from the suppressed Hispanic Population, and with Aid from Italy, Iberia took patronage over the carribbean, central America and Mexico. After the Capitulation of the AUS Iberia went and installed Vice-Kingdoms in Mexico, Central America, and the Carribbean, and took direct Control over Texas and New Mexico.

The High Kingdom of Skandinavia

The High Kingdom of Skandinavia formed officially in 1928, but it wasn't until late August 1929 that it was fully realized. Shortly after the end of the first World War Sweden and Norway announced a Personal Union to better combat the economical upheaval that followed the dissolution of British Colonial Empire. Denmark, which Norway was a formal subject to, protested this Agreement and declared war on Sweden in 1926. It was a pretty calm war, both Sides did Not want to risk an Invasion, so IT was mostly coastal ships that shelled each Other or coastal cities. In 1927 Sweden approached Germany with the proposal of partitioning Denmark to end this war and create a real Skandinavian Union. Germany agreed upon receiving minor territorial concessions, and quickly overran Denmark in the following weeks. The newly arisen High Kingdom of Skandinavia soon joined the newly founded Europapakt, which Made it Its First voluntary member. The age old economic ties between Germany and Sweden now became even stronger, and due to the influx of resources and a cheap and secure Route over the Atlantic Germany efforts to stabilize Europe and provided economic aid received a Strong boost. When in 1939 the American Invasion of Europe was launched, a comparativly small Force landed in 3 areas of Norway and quickly established Well fortified bridgeheads in the norwegian Mountains. The Skandinavian Army, despite highly Trained and Well equipped, was vastly outnumbered and struggled to repell the attacks. After a Long and bloody Fight, supported by German and Finnish Special forces, Scandinavia was the last country to defeat the American incursion in 1942. After the war ended the Highkingdom provided Special forces Training to Other countries and distributed some of the finest artillery and anti Air weapons to Date.

The Dual-Monarchy of Great Britain

After it capitulated to Germany in 1919, Great Britain entered a period of instability, political due to it's loss of manpower and navy, and economic due to the near complete loss of it's colonial Empire. In 1924 it fractured, after Ireland, Scotland and Wales declared their independence, and was on the verge of a civil war, as irredentists called for a military response to the perceived treason of crown countrys. Just a year later all these talks ceased, as England suffered a great famine. Simultaneously the Celtic Kingdom was unable to stabilize it's economy, since most of the Industry was located in England itself. Soon delegates from both sides met in London to talk about a solution to both problems. One and a half years later a new Personal Union emerged, as the Kingdom of England and the Celtic Kingdom formed the Dual-Monarchy of Great Britain. Internally it was run by the King of Ireland and Scotland on one side, and the King of England on the other. The actual head of the state was elected by the house of nobles and the house of commons, and served as the Ruler for 10 years. This way it was ensured that never again an English ruler was able to repress the Celtic population. Since it was one of the only Nations that solved it's problems without German interference, Britain was hesitant on joining the Europapakt, and was largely isolated as a result. This changed after America launched it's great naval invasion of Europe, landing a massive Army in Ireland. Britain struggled to repell the attack, and finally turned to continental Europe for aid. After the attackers were thrown back in 1942, the Dual-Monarchy decided to join the Europapakt, making it the last European Nation to do so. When the second World War ended Britain got the opportunity to regain some of it's former colonies, and also adding new Land to it. It's armed forces were largely occupied with safeguarding the American and Australian Territories, and thus saw the biggest part of the armed uprisings and revolts that occurred in the following years. In the year 1956 Britain was stable once more, with a rather small, but highly trained Army. Its Navy halfway rebuilt, but would never again see the dimensions it did before the first War

The Kingdom of France

The History of France has been one of defeat in the last 150 years. Still it remains as one of the most powerful Nations in Europe and the World. After it's defeat in 1918 it suffered not only territorial losses, but also a devastating Civil War between Communists, Nationalists and the Republican Government that desperately tried to keep order in the devastated country. After 3 years of fighting a depeche from the North African possessions reached the Germans, offering a solution to the Chaos in France. If Germany intervened in the Civil War and helped a new King from the House of Bourbon to the Throne, it would gain a new, powerful Ally in Europe. In return they vowed to recognize the German ownership of Alsace-Lorraine, and pledged to renounce every claim onto the lost Territorries. After a few brief battles, and a second march to Marseille by the North-African loyalist forces, the country came under the rule of yet another King. The Country was on it's way to reconstruction and finally began to trust in the perceived German Puppet King, when disaster struck again in 1939, when American forces commenced a massive naval assault on the entire Atlantic coast if France. The quickly rallied French Army was able to halt them, and with the help of Italy and Germany pushed them back over the course of 3 years, leaving half the country in ruins again. When in 1949 the war finally ended, France was a scarred Nation. The lost first World War, which left the western parts of the country in ruins, the Civil War, territorial losses and the initial Invasion by American forces in 1939, which devastated the eastern parts, left France shaken. 35% of it's population was killed, the Industry recovered only slowly. The people of France yearned for peace. Nonetheless it was France that stood at the forefront when it came to opposing Japanese Aggression and involvement in the ongoing Chinese Civil War, and stood by the side of German-Southeast-Asia when the Vietcong Rebellion broke out.

The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth

The Commonwealth was founded as a result of the ongoing instabilities in Germany's Oststaaten puppets. These were founded after the Russian Empire collapsed in 1917, but never managed to become stable or self sufficient. The neverending instability was mainly caused by the many displaced ethnicies that were removed from their old homes by the Tsar, and now found themselves in countries that didn't want them. In 1926 Poland managed to remove German influence over it's government, and shortly after it proposed a union to Ruthenia and the Ukraine. This was followed by much political bickering, Germany was hesitant to give up it's eastern possessions, and the leaders of Ruthenia and the Ukraine didn't want to give up their powers. But the situation became more and more unstable, and when Russia announced that it intended to regain it's former borders in 1932, an agreement was made. Poland, Ruthenia and the Ukraine would form the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and, by the example of Yugoslavia, become a multiethnic state, the state of the Western Slavs. In return it had to recognise the former Russian Territories that Germany annexed, and it hat to join the Europapakt. The two neighbors quickly formed deep economic ties, and when World War 2 broke out it was the Commonwealths Army that held the Russians at bay until the Americans were beaten in western Europe. After the war the Commonwealth annexed some more territories, like Crimea, the eastern Ukraine and some parts of Russian territory. By 1956 Poland-Lithuania had become the 2nd largest economic power in Europe

The Greater German Empire

When the first World War ended in 1919, the German Empire emerged victorious and established itself as the leading Power in the World. Tho severely weakened, it managed to gain control over most of the former British Colonial Empire, and set up several puppet regimes in Europe over the following years. But luck soon ran out. One after another it's former allies vanished or became severely troubled. When in 1931 the Austrian-Hungarian Empire collapsed, Germany took the opportunity and annexed the German speaking parts of the Empire, together with the Kingdom of Bohemia and the Krain. Without any real allies other than it's puppets, it was time to rethink it's approach to the World, and after proclaiming the Greater German Empire, it founded the Europapakt. Through political maneuvers, economic assistance and military interventions in neighbouring countries, Germany and the Europapakt continued to grow, until in 1942, when the last American troops capitulated in France, the Dual-Monarchy of Great Britain joined. The second World War ended in 1949, and Europe began it's reconstruction, this time united under the Idea of an European Union.

The Japanese Sphere of Influence

Japan managed to keep it's possessions after the War, even tho it technically lost to the German Empire. There were no real consequences tho, since noone was really willing nor able to enforce them onto a Country that was on the opposite side of the world and still had a largely intact, well trained army and Navy. Japan never officialy created an Alliance, but acts more and more in concert with the Motives of the Muslim League, tho this is more about reason than about sympathy.

MUSLIM LEAGUE

The Muslim League was founded by Arabia and Turkey in 1951, intended as an answer to the military occupation of Palestine and the Sinai by German and French troops, and the following founding of an Independent Jewish state. The Program of the Muslim League aims at the liberation of all Muslims from the occupation of the European Tyrants, and the creation of a strong alliance of independent Muslim Nationstates.

EUROPAPAKT

The Europapakt is the most powerful Alliance in the world. Founded and lead by the Greater German Empire since the dissolution of Austria-Hungary in 1931, it managed to unite all European Nations under one flag by 1942. Today the Europapakt is as much an alliance as an economic sphere, and talks are underway to formally create an European Parliament, to further unite Europes strength in the face of the Cold War.

This is my Worldmap for the year 1956. After it won World War 1 in 1919, the German Empire and it's allys created a new world order, annexing much of the former British Colonial Empire and stripping Russia from most of it's European Territories. Since Germany, despite being victorious, was severely weakened, it didn't go exactly as planned, leading to an increasing instability throughout the world. New political views surfaced in many countrys, and after just 19 years of relative peace, World War 2 broke out. This conflict was even more devastating than the previous and lastet until 1947, when Japan asked for peace after it's last ally, the American Union State, capitulated at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains. Despite being shaken by another conflict of unimaginable scale, this time Europe stood together for the first time, and thus was able to seize a more firm grip on the prizes of war. In the following time Europe began a great effort to rebuild the damages done by the war, forming strong economic ties between the European countrys and their colonys, but despite this combined effort Europe was not prepared for when World tension began to rise again. After a series of bombings, political incidents and armed uprisings it became clear that peace once again became uncertain. By the year 1956 the World had entered a so called Cold War, with the German lead Europapakt on one side, and the Muslim League and Japan on the other.
