If you can't come up with silly headcanons for apple bros then I will >:[[

* Dreams gets triggered every time when sees apples (think of this as a cat being jump scared by cucumbers)

* And as for Nightmare, he sometimes giggles out of blue remembering something funny (in a dark way..) from his 500+ years of living (also he's a smug jackass who loves talking long monologues to himself.... and to others who were unfortunate to attract his attention)

I bet Nightmare keep recalling a memory where he defeated Dream for the first time and giggle like crazy or think of how he tricked some people, and as for ur universe Nightmare- he would giggle remembering Reaper reactions and then nervously giggle and can't stop thinking about him 😁

Long monologes to himself and to random unlucky people shows how much he is lonely 😋u make him so lonely and pathethic💖 but actually I like to think he is debating with voices in his head or smth (voices and personalities of people who he recently absorbed negativity from, the voices will dissapear after couple of minutes)
