Summer to me is a lot about endings. In particular this summer will be all about endings as I wrap the past few years up, not exactly in a neat bow but it will be wrapped and I'll move forward. I'm preparing for some final exams and will continue writing my thesis. Over the summer I hope to get around to learning some algebraic number theory, I've spend the majority of the past year on algeraic geometry which has been a treat however I would like to do something else for a while. Beside that I'm enjoying the moment, I try to refrain from borrowing grief from the future. The melancholy is here, but so is the joy, both are essential to a human experience and I'm just here to be here.

Hay fever is killing me this year and the OTC stuff is doing a 3/5 star job. Guess I'll have to start seeing an allergologist again (for the first time since I was like... 11? lol). I don't let it stop me from powering through chem tech though!! The final is tomorrow and I'm feeling pretty confident about it - I've studied quite a lot and I think I'll manage to fill in all the gaps in my knowledge today :)

Things escalated a bit (I only paid 20€?!)

Somehow worked my way through all of stochastics in an hour this morning? That means I can start solving problems and old mocks tomorrow morning :)!! I’m quite happy to have this much time to study for my math final. Anyway, I went to the bookstore afterwards and picked up:

•Letters to a Young Poet - Rainer Maria Rilke (just finished it and I LOVED it. 5/5⭐️ & the first work by Rilke I’ve ever read)

•The Idiot - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

•Walden and Civil Disobedience- Henry David Thoreau

•Moby Dick - Hermann Melville

‘The Lesser Bohemians’ is one of my current reads and I forgot how many times I have picked this book up and put down because of the stream of consciousness in this one is hard to follow and trips me up more. I am sticking with it this time because I am very intrigued by the story and I have been wanting to step outside my reading comfort zone.
