Ylläs skitrip

3 days of skiing. On the first days we had some serious wind and snow issues but we figured that is the way to start learning downhill skiing.

On the third way we went cross country skiing, with 7 kms into the wilderness. There in the hytte we drank some coffee and listened to one opera singer guy’s melody and got ready for the exhausting 7 kms back.

Tiring. Beautiful. Cozy.

Weekend getaway to Kuusamo

Breathtakingly beautiful landscape combined with hiking in 1m deep snow. Definitely a place worth visiting, surely going back there in summertime as well.

Friday was a night we tasted a bit of Finnish music.

The band had the energy which took them (especially the singer) somewhere higher and made their fans step out from their comfort zone and just get really crazy.

I was just smiling.

Then we rushed on our bikes in - 30 to that frozen lake nearby but sadly it was too late.

(yep, apparently Northern Lights are pretty weak over Oulu)
