Answering for Ibis pt8

36.. How stubborn is your oc? Are they easily convinced of the opposite opinion, do they not agree but let it happen anyways? Or do they cause conflicts with their inability to budge in their decisions? He likes to pretend to be stubborn a lot and will pretend to fight, if its a girl he likes (like Ella). If its something he truly knows his shit about though then he'll be stubborn for real and hard to convince, better be ready to have legit arguments to win. He'll concede though if he reads your mind and you're right.

37.. How much has your oc traveled? Why is this? Would they like to travel more? Or are they perfectly fine with staying home? Quite a lot but not as much as he'd like (though he is still 20). He's been with his family to quite a few places and after graduating he's gone off on his own/with friends. He can't wait to travel more.

38.. What signs tell that your oc is nervous? Do they fidget, is it in their expression or the way they say things? Or are they very skilled at hiding it? He's often not nervous but when he is he'll tend to touch his face, scratch his neck and such. But he has gotten better at hiding in general.

39.. How superstitious your oc? Do they end up following them ‘just in case’? Or are superstitions incredibly important to your oc? What are some that they believe? What about the ones they don’t? Not a lot. If he thinks he needs to undo his luck he might throw salt or do some quick anti-jinx. He definitely doesn't believe in anything regarding animals/omens like black cats.

40.. Are there any habits your oc has picked up from people around them? Do they know where they’re from? Does your oc try to stop themselves from doing it? His whole reason for wanting to be popular comes from Ari, and he started by imitating her (or whatever she said was cool for guys to do). He's aware and likes to believe he's developed 'his own style'. For the most part he has but he's still influenced by her. If she ever came home and said Y Brand belts are the hottest new items he'd go and start wearing them the next day.

31.. What time of day is your oc most awake? What about most tired? Do they get up at the same time every morning without need of an alarm, or is their sleep schedule all over the place? He's a full on night owl, and not just from being a vampire. He stays up brewing potions and concocting new stuff. He often forgoes sleep altogether and just drinks an energy potion. Unless he has company, then he'll sleep with her and wake whenever she does. If he wakes up before then he'll just go back to working on his cauldron. Or breakfast.

32.. What five ingredients would you throw into a cauldron to make a potion based on your oc? How would you cook/mix them? What would the potion do? As much as he makes potions I try to avoid coming up with specific ingredients lmao. I'd ironically make a procreation potion since it has been mentioned in story and he says it uses very simple everyday ingredients, most of which he uses in his signature drinks.

33.. Describe your oc’s favourite environment. Urban or rural? Wild or controlled? What’s the climate like? He loves them all actually. As long as there's people he's happy no matter where it is. So anything as long as its not remote.

34.. What would someone blackmail your oc with? Would they be successful in getting what they wanted? Well right now the easier and most potent blackmail would be his daughter. Either threaten to kidnap her or tell Grayson about her. Yes, this would be a successful blackmail.

35.. How easily does your oc get attached to things? Does everything have a sentimental value to them, or do they see nothing as more valuable than its practical use? What about with people/animals? He does have some sentimental value over specific things, but not much. Photos would hold the most sentimental value for him. People on the other hand, friends and family, those he regards highly.

Well my sims each have their own staple clothes and accessories that they wear a lot. There's certain accessories that they always have like earrings/piercings, rings, bracelets etc. Now because I have a lot of males in game I had to get a LOT of clothes for them and there's two certain pants I find myself using very very often, both by the same creator (do check them out).

26.. How polite is your oc? Do they do everything with the utmost courtesy, or do they completely refuse to say please and thank you? Normal amount? He'll say please and thank you automatically when it should be said.

27.. How flexible is your oc? Can they touch their toes or do they have trouble just sitting down because of how stiff they are? So vampire means he is more flexible than humans, and the fact that he's worked out means he's slightly more flexible than average. He's still nowhere close to say Blaze who did ballet for years. He can touch his toes but couldn't do the splits.

28.. What is your oc’s typical walking like? Do they speed-walk everywhere, do they take quick short steps or long paces? On their tiptoe, the sides or heels of their feet? How loud are their footsteps? Normal walk. You'd call it speedwalk when he uses vampiric speed I guess. He is quiet though, he learned to be in order to sneak around haha.

29.. If your oc was in a video game, what would their idle animation be? (When the player stays still for too long, the animation that plays.) My sim in the sims game? Hahahaha. He plays with magic.

30.. What topics does your oc know the most about? Are these obvious or would these be surprising to others? Oh chemistry 100%. And furthermore alchemy. Yeah, most people would be surprised to know he knows such a nerdy subject, but then again the fact that he makes his own drugs should make it obvious, and once people put 2 and 2 together it makes sense.

I do all of the above. Some places I build myself, especially if I had a very particular idea in mind. Others I just have no choice but to build myself because I couldn't find anything I liked/worked. Sometimes I download a place or take an EA place and modify it.

Ulene Deadwyler's house, for example, I downloaded built but then added on to it (I needed to add a whole new floor on top to accommodate quadruplets). And I decorated the whole thing myself, I'm pretty sure the house as downloaded only had the basics. Then when the kids aged up I redid their rooms.

Now for Bridgeport I'm actively looking for any and all modifications or additional lots so I'm not stuck with just EA basics lol. I built the main place (too big lol) but it has the 'sets' for a lot of scenes. I still need to build or modify a couple of other places but I'm hoping that for everything else I can rely on already built stuff.

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

21.. What is your oc’s stamina like? Would they be able to run a marathon, or not run at all? What about walking/another physical activity? How are they with exercise in general?

Ah yes, so again, vampire means he has more stamina and can run more than the average human. Now he can thank his brother, an actual track and field champion, for training him so now he more physical condition than even the average vampire.

22.. How long can your oc stay focused on one task before they get bored? Do they constantly have to switch things up or do they hyperfocus? What sort of things is it the opposite for?

If its something he likes he can focus for a long time, bordering on hyperfocus. Like when he gets into alchemy and potion making. He will not focus for boring stuff like homework, good thing he doesn't need to do that anymore.

23.. What is the most annoying sound to your oc? What’s the most pleasant? Is there any reason?

"IBIS!!!!!!" since it means he's about to get in trouble lol

As for more pleasant, he won't deny he likes moans from his partners. But on a more regular note, bubbles brewing from a cauldron would be his favorite background sound.

24.. What smells bring back specific memories to your oc? What are those memories like?

Oh many! He thinks of past birthdays when he smells pumpkin pies, and of fall festivals in his hometown. Pot in general tends to make him think of his friends and hanging out with them, but specific ones he's made obviously reminds him of when he either created them or used them for the first time. There's also Taia's perfume, he hasn't been with anyone else that wears it so he immediately thinks of her. Popcorn reminds him of his sisters, Ari because she used to work in the movie theater and would come back smelling like it, and Ash from all the movie nights they did. There's also a particular brand of jerky that reminds him of Ari/her boyfriend since he liked it a lot and her room would end up smelling like it often. Metal burning reminds him of his brother Benny from him thinkering in his room. Paint (acrylic) reminds him of his parents. I could go on…

25.. How jumpy or easily spooked is your oc? Do they have a fight or flight reflex to being startled, or are they never startled at all?

Currently, not too much, around average. His vampiric hearing lets him hear people approaching more than usual so it's harder to startle him in that sense. He still can get startled in which case he'd just well, react like anyone else getting startled.

16.. If your oc could only eat one thing for the rest of their life (while miraculously not suffering from malnutrition), what would it be? Does this match their favourite food? One thing like blood? Ok fine, in the scenario he'd be human he'd definitely go for his favorite which is pumpkin pie.

17.. How prepared is your oc? Ready for the worst no matter what, or completely lost in every situation? Would they have a medkit when it was needed? Would they have an umbrella if it rains? He has a LOT of shit in the pockets of his coat, lots of potions and ingredients, but a lot of other random stuff too of course. He wouldn't have a medkit or umbrella but he also doesn't need them because he has magic. So really, he's actually rather prepared.

18.. How charitable is your oc? Or are they more stingy with their resources and money? He gives freely. His money is mostly inherited so he didn't have to work for it (so far) and feels like its easier to share. Spoiler but he'll keep being as charitable after he actually works for things. He's always of the mindset that he and his family have vast resources.

19.. If someone was describing your oc to someone who had never met them, what distinguishing features would they mention? How would one identify your oc in a crowd? Fuckboy. Number one lmao. He's easy to identify as the vampire witch with pink hair that thinks too highly of himself.

20.. Does your oc have any pleasure that embarrasses them so they keep it secret? Or are they open about all the things they enjoy? Not complete embarrassment but he does indeed would rather keep it quiet, or at the very least not advertise it. He's a total sub, likes getting tied up, "choked" (as much as you can a vampire), and in general being told what to do.

11.. How competitive is your oc? Is every little task something that they can win, or are they just in competitions for the fun of it? Is there anyone they’re most competitive with? He's not competitive but he won't back down from a fight. He'd rather get his ass kicked than be called chicken for not engaging. Physical fights.

12.. How skilled at lying is your oc? How frequently do they lie? For what reason? What situations would be the exception? Oh he's very skilled. He often doesn't feel the need to lie though, he just omits information or keeps it to himself.

13.. What is your oc’s immune system like? Are they invincible to illness, or are they compromised completely from the slightest of dirt? Vampiric invincibility for the win!

14.. Does your oc do anything “just for the aesthetic”? Or are they completely practical in everything? He's most definitely all about appearances. Since young he's placed a high value in being popular and doing things for the general approval.

15.. If you had to choose a single object to act as a symbol for your oc, what would it be? Why? A literal Ibis 🤭 Ok fine, a potion bottle. He's really skilled with potions so yeah.
