Buck is a silly guy trying to be taken seriously and Eddie is a guy who’s been forced to be serious but wants to be silly.

Eddie takes everything Buck says and does seriously. And Buck gives Eddie the space and freedom to be silly.

And this is literally the perfect combination of why every time they’re together they turn into dumbass and dumbasser.

kind of dig the idea that season 9 opens with Buck in a new apartment and he like...fucking loves it. Like constantly babbling about how much better it feels than the loft, and how he just really adores having his own space and he really feels like he's making it a home. And then the end of the ep is like Hen asking Eddie what he's doing after shift and he says he and Chris are going to Buck's for dinner. And Hen's like, "again? Third time this week? Out of four days?" and Eddie is just like, "yeah :)"

You know what makes this line so extra insane other than everything about it. This is 3x11. They only ended the divorce era in 3x06 and 3x07 is an Athena Flashback episode, so they've only been friends again for like three episodes but Buck is like, no, Eddie forgave me and I live here now. Duh Maddie.

its genuinely so fucking funny that eddie just showed up and got to do whatever the fuck he wanted. in fact he was encouraged to do whatever the fuck he wanted. this is an experience literally nobody else had. just eddie

Neil Josten talks like that because he was supposed to be the femme fatale, except he's too asexual to intentionally seduce anyone and too obsessive and paranoid to notice when somebody falls for him anyway.

you know, when the 118 found out about maddie, they noticed that she was older than buck by more years than a typical sibling age gap, and they all probably assumed that buck was an accident. i bet they all felt a bit privately guilty when they found out he was actually the worst kind of on purpose
