Do you ever think you'll stop drawing fanart? No offense it just seems like the kind of thing you're supposed to grow out of. I'm just curious what your plans/goals are since it isn't exactly an art form that people take seriously.

Ah, fanart. Also known as the art that girls make.

Sad, immature girls no one takes seriously. Girls who are taught that it’s shameful to be excited or passionate about anything, that it’s pathetic to gush about what attracts them, that it’s wrong to be a geek, that they should feel embarrassed about having a crush, that they’re not allowed to gaze or stare or wish or desire. Girls who need to grow out of it.

That’s the art you mean, right?

Because in my experience, when grown men make it, nobody calls it fanart. They just call it art. And everyone takes it very seriously.

purge of 2002? of 2012? what ARE those?

Oh, how quickly the past is forgotten. 

They are part of the reason A03 is a thing now. Not the whole reason, but part of it. 

The Great Purges of 2002 and 2012 are when ff.net got a wild hair up their ass about THINK OF THE CHILDREN and nuked any fic posted on there that was explicit. Thousands upon thousands of nc-17 smutfics were lost.

It’s what led to the creation of alternate hosting sites for smutty fic…AdultFanfiction was the one I went to…but thousands of fics would never be recovered.

Happy SkyStar Week!

This year, I decided to celebrate by doing some art! This one’s an illustration for one of my stories, Invisible Scars. Here is the scene it goes with:

Skyfire cupped his hand around one of Starscream’s heel-thrusters. He lifted the foot, drawing it into his lap, and pointed to the row of cleaning supplies he’d arranged on step. “Would you mind handing me one of those brushes? The one on your far left should work nicely.”

Starscream picked up the narrow, long-bristled brush and handed it over. “What are you doing?”

Skyfire slipped the brush between the feather-like flanges of Starscream’s thruster and began working it up and down with slow, careful sweeps. Starscream went rigid, his mouth forming a silent ‘o’ as tingles of pleasure spiraled up his leg.

“Why didn’t you say so?” he asked, spreading the flanges to offer better access.

“And spoil the surprise?“

SkyStar Week Day 3: flight / fall

There’s a courtship ritual within the animal kingdom that eagles do. The two birds literally fall for each other, plummeting down with locked talons down to the earth before breaking free and flying off, mates for life. I can only imagine something similar of a ritual along flightmodes and Seekers, so here is Skyfire and Starscream doing that ritual.

I can’t believe I actually did it!!!  I was so worried I wouldn’t get this out on time.  TToTT  Very honored for my first animation to be SkyStar!! XD  Credit where it’s due, the background came from a kind soul on the blender forums.  There’s a lot I still need to learn, but but this is honestly further than I really expected myself to get.  Haha, I’m so excited right now! Happy Sky/Star week everyone!  Hope it’s been a great one!
