(Davos Blackwood x Aeron Bracken fanfic)
When Davos Blackwood was five years of age he had seen Aeron Bracken playing with his kinsmen near the boundary stones at the Mill by the Red Fork river. His older brother Samwell the Younger had stopped him from joining in the game of swords.
Thirteen years later, Samwell the Younger was dead and buried in the godswood near Raventree Hall, and Davos saw Aeron again; this time in a seedy tavern. There was no one to stop Davos from approaching this time, and the pretty young man was a target he would not give up chasing.

idk where else to say this, but i need to say it so i hope you don’t mind. i’m genuinely so thankful that the davron community is full of creatives. from fan art to fan fiction and memes, it’s such a joy to see that a relatively small group of people can create this much. to everyone who has ever shared their talents with us through this ship, YOU ARE SO LOVED AND APPRECIATED BY US💗
👆 THIS 👆
davrons, and i genuinely mean this, are some of the most imaginative, talented, and kind people i've ever met. WE ALL have managed to keep this ship alive months after "the burning mill" aired, and it's bc we made this wonderful, creative community together.
#under love's heavy burden do i queue.#davron#brackwood#aeron x davos#davos x aeron#aeron bracken#davos blackwood#text posts#pell speaks

Davos: Life is hard
Davos: But you make me hard
Davos: *winks at Aeron*
All the lords of the river lands who were just trying to have dinner and discuss peace amongst the feuding houses:

no because aeron should have known pretty quickly that the "bracken" shout was coming from a blackwood.
why did he turn with a smile and why did it melt into a confused look rather than an angry look??
which in turn brings back into focus the face davos makes before aeron even calls him babekiller.
i know what you are davron

It seems, my dear readers, that Viscount Davos Blackwood has set his sights on none other than the diamond of the season, the enchanting Betha Bracken, sister to the elusive Aeron Bracken. A judicious match, indeed, one that our dear Queen Rhaenyra appears particularly fond of. Whether this is due to the potential for a marriage between House Blackwood and House Bracken to alleviate more than one political headache, given their millennia-long feud, remains to be seen. Whatever the case may be, it appears her Royal Highness might have more obstacles than she anticipated, for Aeron Bracken himself seems to oppose the match with a fervor that could rival the fiercest of storms.
The stage is set for a season of love and conflict, and this author can hardly wait to see how it unfolds.

15. New Options
Davos groaned and rolled around in his bed. It was too early.
A constant knocking reached his ear and that explained why he woke up. But it was not the usual knocking on wood.
He sat up and glared at his window.
“Who the fuck is- Oh, it’s you.”
Resson was hammering away with his beak at the window.
“King’s Balls,” he growled and hobbled over the cold stone floor. “Stop before you break the glass.” He ripped the window open and stepped to the side quickly. Better not be in the way when Resson thought he had a mission.
Resson cawed at him accusingly and put for one of his legs.
A letter was bound to it.
Davos sat down on his bed again, wrapping the blanket around him and glaring at the Raven from there.
Resson ruffled his feathers unbothered and then glided over to hop onto the blanket.
Davos snatched the letter and stared at it, turning it around to see who it might be from and why. There was no seal, just a cord that had kept the letter to Resson’s leg.
He unfurled the paper and looked at the elegant handwriting. Curved and looped. If his teacher would see this he would cry with joy, Davos was sure. This was how handwriting was supposed to look when perfected.
