I literally hate C@ryl.

Before i say anything else, here's a disclaimer:

If you ship C@ryl and you're respectful to other ships and you're normal about it, and by normal i mean you don't harass people who like them as platonic friends, don't think you're entitled for it to become canon or think your ship is somehow more valid than others, i'm not talking about you. Carry on.

C@rylers literally ruined Daryl and Carol's relationship for me. Constantly through out the show's existense they've been so fucking entitled and insufferable about the ship.

I remember when Desus was at it's peak, the biggest Desus blogs would get so many anons harassing them in their asks about how Desus was never going to be canon because C@ryl was the only valid ship. They bitched and moaned every time Daryl or Carol didn't have scenes together in the episodes and felt so entitled to their ship, invalidating the beautiful, platonic friendship these two characters had.

I literally remember someone saying that the writers owe them to make it canon because the ship has existed so long.

No they don't.

Now they've taken to bashing Norman and the spinoff for "bating" them and calling them misogynistic and all that shit.

Norman and Melissa don't want C@ryl. Carol called Daryl her brother. They have zero romantic chemistry imo. It is Canon that Carol ships Daryl and Connie. And it is so important for media to offer representation for realistic, close, platonic friendships between men and women because so many people still think men and women can't be just friends.

I love Carol and Daryl's relationship so much mut these days everytime i see them interacting or if i see an edit of them, it just doesn't feel the same because i know there's gonna be some entitled C@ryler mischaracterizing it and claiming them to be Canon.

I probs just need to get over it but god it just ruined them for me.

Had to get a drawing of my faves in while I had the time– it was nice to try out something a bit more mellow like this to emulate the quieter moments of the show.
