I have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, lead astray, run amok and flat out deceived…by Tim Kring, Marlene King and others who shall be named in due time

Please tell me your thoughts about Disney Pixar's Cars, and how Paul Newman as Doc Hudson was the single greatest emotionally driven character in it and how the second spy-themed installment was overhated. James Bond, who? Mater was fire as the lead. Also--have you gotten around to finishing Cars 3 yet? Asking for a dear, dear cousin of mine.
I’m glad you asked MythicalWizard…one would think I’m not a Cars 🚗 fan…my interests span many genres. Cars the first movie…pretty solid. Classic guy with big ego gets humbled once he gets stuck in a small town and meets a mentor to teach him the true meaning of life. Everyone slept on Cars 2. Mater is an icon. He was the comic relief we needed and now he rightfully gets a spy storyline, why does the general public not support that. I live for regular old joe having to go undercover for some undisclosed reason. Cars 3…why…just why. I did not like it. Pointless I was over it, pretty sure I fell asleep at one point. Your dear dear cousin should be happy they didn’t have to witness that snooze fest of a movie. Hope my unsolicited opinions helped.

Hello new fan (not that I'm an old fan, I started watching in 2022).
Anyway, I'm glad to see someone who also complains about what was done to Isaac. His death would have made more sense if not for the fact that in later seasons others gained the ability to see the future. That's what pissed me off the most. Why couldn't you let Isaac live 😭.
I read that at first the series was supposed to be an anthology and each season was to have different characters. Only that people really liked the characters from season 1 and that's why they changed the convention. Which in my opinion was worse for Heroes.
I could talk a lot about this show but I don't want to send an essay to your ask box.
First off, thank you for being my first ask! Yes, I couldn’t agree with you more, why would they kill him and bring in other characters who are able to see the future? 🔮
🚨**For anyone who hasn’t watched the show…Spoilers ahead if you don’t want to keep reading**
I thought for a second because Hiro was time travelling into the future / past that he would at one point save Isaac. But, no he decided to save Charlie who somehow got stuck in a different era and just accepted her life like that?? It felt like they were ripping off The Notebook during the scene when she passed away in the hospital. 👵 I didn’t have that much of an emotional attachment to Charlie she was barely relevant, was it cute? Yeah, but she died many different times and I was okay with it. Isaac was present the whole season, Hiro seemed to really respect him - “Mr. Isaac” - he wrote Comic books that predicted the future all centered around Hiro, and others…but it seemed like Hiro was the main character in the comics. Why if you were not going to stick with getting new characters every season would you not bring back Isaac who could keep the story going? His loft seemed like a central point for all the characters to meet…I mean Suresh was taken there to do research. Our bestie Isaac died…bled out on that ground…no funeral…and Suresh casually starts a science experiment in his loft. Is he paying rent? I mean now I’m being petty but it’s just annoying. 🫣
That makes sense about the character refresh every season they probably tested the waters when they brought in the brother and sister in season 2…but one thing I never understood was how was what she did a power? It just seemed like she was possessed by a demon. But, I guess Nikki’s power is similar. Then again can we consider Nikki as having powers? Well her super strength probably was a power, but the switching personalities that’s not a power…again it’s a curse she has no control. And, don’t get me started on the triplet not so triplet Tracy who is 100% not related but looks the same…why? Just why? Every episode after season 1 I felt like my sanity was being tested, there some moments of light but it always came crumbling down…Okay, my rant is over for now.
All in all thank you for your message and I hope you enjoy any future posts I have. Also, don’t ever worry about a long ask, because I tend to ramble so nothing ever seems to wordy to me. 😊

Justice for Isaac Mendez: Why Heroes? Why Now?
First off you may be wondering: "Why Heroes? Why Now?" Well I'll tell you why...there has been a grave injustice done to one of the most central characters of the series. Yes, series, not first season. I'm a first time watcher, yes, in the year 2024. I need no judgement. It takes me a while to move on from one show obsession to the next. Although, I can't say I'm obsessed with Heroes just yet. There are some questionable moments that just got me thinking: "Do other people feel this way?” “Was Tumblr around in 2006?” “What would everyone's popular opinions have been?” I'm mid-way through Season 4 at the moment and the only thing I can think about when I watch the show is..."Justice for Isaac Mendez". I believe he was a character with such great potential that was never fully realized. And, then when we thought he had a grasp on his abilities he was just written off in the most uncharacteristic way possible. I don’t know about any behind-the-scenes details. Aside from the writers strike during Season 2 which caused a shortened run, 11 episodes as opposed to 20+. But, not knowing what happened on the production side of things, shouldn’t matter. As a viewer of a show I should be able to understand decisions characters made, but there are so many out of pocket moments. It's like the writers don't even know there own characters. The end of Season 1? Made no sense. Because of the writers decisions, they completely pivoted the directions of all the characters and I'd say mostly not for the better. Do I need to voice my opinions on this topic? No. Could I have just left all of my thoughts to ruminate in my head? Sure, but where is the fun in that? I wanted to share these thoughts in hopes of finding others who understand my POV. It would also be great to learn more about other perspectives from viewers of the show. At the end of the day is it that serious? No. But, in a world that is nothing but serious I need a light distraction to escape the actual injustices of the world. So, we’ll focus my energies on just discussing whatever comes to my mind on a certain day. Whether it’s to discuss why Isaac was the most central character in the series, or why his abilities shouldn’t be replicated, or why he would never have tried to shoot Peter or Simone….so many topics to dive into. And, that’s just on Isaac. Matt Parkman…the amount of injustice done to that man…I just feel bad for him at that point. And, why name his wife Janice?Never mind I’ll save that for another post. Peter Petrelli? I'm supposed to route for him, why is he such an inconsistent person? I have more sympathy for Nathan Peterelli and he was supposed to be evil at one point. Don't forget Hiro..."You already bad guy! You are villain - villain!" Don't get me wrong I like the show, Hiro and Ando the best dynamic duo who have the most memorable lines of comic relief. But, even all of there most iconic lines can't cover up all of the odd plot lines and character decisions. I'm not even going to say bad writing. I'm going to say underdeveloped storylines. It's a show with such great potential, but it was botched in my mind. Season 1 was almost perfect to me, but the following seasons just went downhill. It makes me sad. Tim Kring, you had such wonderful ideas. You created this show. It's such an original idea, I was captivated, then I felt like my heart was being toyed with because all the characters I've come to enjoy just started acting out of sorts. But, you probably get the point now. I’ll just be posting my random thoughts as someone who has yet to finish the series, but will be doing so probably in the next few days. More updates to come after.
