Haunted? Not only does Mitsuru not believe in ghosts â though perhaps they do exist in Spirale, as it seems that anything is possible here â but having one follow her around is something she simply does not need right now, on top of all her other concerns. However, she feels as though if there was a supernatural presence around her, her Persona would have sensed something; some of the other residents she has passed by have given off faint auras of power both alike and unlike her own, and she begins to wonder if this boy is one of them. Of course, it has been quite a while since she has used Penthesileaâs support abilities and they werenât terribly strong to begin with, so there was always the chance she was mistakenâŚ
âHaunted?â she asks, repeating her thoughts aloud, âWhat do you mean?â
Oh man, he really does sound crazy. He immediately feels the urge to derail, make excuses, and just bail. But if she really is being haunted, she has a right to know, right? Right.Â
Besides, if she was here long enough, she should know that thereâs at least some weird shit going on. Thereâs reason enough for her to believe you.Â
âUh, I mean.â He swallows, trying to find the right words before pushing on. âSâjust. Okay, donât freak out or nothing. But you got something following you? I, uh. Kind of have a sense for this stuff, and Iâve seen this some sort of  mecha lady hovering you.â
Oh, yeah, perfect. Nailed it! Sheâll totally believe you, now!

Everyone seemed to be in the house at mis-matched times; and aside from a lot of very straight forward questions (followed by a polite âthank you for your time.â) no-one in the house knew Akatsuki that well.
Today one of them would discover him early in the morning, sleeping with his head on the kitchen table, his cellphone only partly put back together. The books and paper under him were once organized, until hed fallen asleep on them. His next victim wouldâve been the microwave. It sits unplugged on the corner of the table, to be quietly intimidated by tools.Â
For the few couple of months heâd been here, a few of Kuwabaraâs housemates had already come and gone. It kind of sucked, but then again, the teen was so wrapped up in his own shit, that he didnât really take the time to get to know any of them. So it might have worked out ok, but... Still, it left a bad taste in his mouth.Â
Well, now was his chance to fix that, apparently! Because when he blearily stumbled down the stairs that morning, he found one of the new guys sprawled out on the kitchen table in a pile of papers and stray pieces of machinery. Normally, heâd let the poor guy sleep, but after seeing the microwave unplugged and a good amount of tools scattered around it, Kuwabara realized it was time to intervene. His main method of making food was on the line, dammit!Â
Still, being the good Samaritan that he was, he could at least try to let the guy keep snoozing as he conducted his microwave rescue operation. So, as quietly as he could, he reached across the table and attempted to lift the machine.

And SHIT, it was heavy! It wasnât like Kuwabara wasnât used to heavy weights, but were these things always like, 80 pounds? He let out a grunt of surprise, stumbled a bit trying to regain his balance, failed, and then ceremoniously crashed on the table.Â
So much for letting him sleep.Â

âDude, get outta my face!â Kuwabara snapped as he attempted to shove the stringy kid away from him. He said this, but he wasnât doing much to stop the little scuffle that they had been in the midst of for the past two or so minutes. Why were they even fighting? Someone stepped on someoneâs foot, who knows. Both acted like tough shits instead of apologizing like normal, functioning human beings.... A grade school insult might have been flung around. Serious stuff.Â
Their dumb little fist fight continued until they stumbled onto the nearby road, very impervious to the warning cries of the surrounding onlookers. It wasnât until a rather loud trumpet sounded that Kuwabara glanced up from yanking on the guyâs collar....Â
To see a giant float looming over both of them.Â

Kuwabara had never been to a dance party before, seeing as he didnât really have anyone to go with, and clubs were kind of waaaay outside his age range. (Although he could probably sneak into one if he really wanted to. Just never really had the guts to do so.)Â
So while it was kind of fun to sit back and watch people enjoying themselves, he was kind of hesitant to step in on his own. Would Kurama be into this sort of thing...? He was really friggin positive Hiei wouldnât be.Â
Glancing around, he noticed a guy who wasnât among the throngs of people dancing, or those being reluctantly pulled along. Like Kuwabara, he just seemed content to just quietly watch everything. Man, kinda seemed depressing. Did Kuwabara look like that to onlookers?Â

âSo, uh. Dancing ainât really your thing, huh?â He spoke up awkwardly, immediately second-guessing trying to chat up a guy who probably just wanted to be left alone.Â

âHoly shit...âÂ
Kuwabara muttered to himself in what could only be described as pure awe. He had stepped away from the main events to catch a breather and maybe a bite to eat, but from watching the adult man walking along with his arms full of fried, doughy, and grilled goods, he had to wonder if all of the food stalls couldnât have been cleared out.Â
sâYo, donât you got a bag or somethinâ to carry all that shit in? Youâre gonna burn your arms, man.â He couldnât help but notice that a bucket of piping hot fries was leaning daaaaangerously close to his exposed wrist.Â

Not expecting somebody to be patting him on the back in reassurance, Tim jumps at the contact before turning his attention up to the man. He listens to his words, trying to comprehend what was being told to him, before a quiet and almost forced chuckle comes from him.Â
âNo, no. Itâs not that Iâm not popular with the girls or anything,â ⌠Not entirely, anyways, but thatâs asides the point.Â
âI just donât think itâs really meant for me. Thanks, though.âÂ
âOh. Uh, well.âÂ
âTh-thatâs ok, too! Ainât nothinâ wrong with being single! Sometimes, a manâs just gotta find his own path, yeah?â

âLoveâsâŚsomething, I guess. I donât know.â He pulls out a cigarette, but doesnât light it. Instead, Tim stares at it, blinking. âItâs a thing, but I donât think itâs meant for someone like me.âÂ

âWoah man, donât go talkinâ yerself down like that.â He gives him a hearty pat on the back.Â
âSo what if youâre not popular with girls? Thereâs always someone out there for everyone, ya just gotta keep lookinâ.âÂ
... And he missed the point entirely.Â

âLove, huh?â

Oh, Yukina. Dear, sweet, innocent Yukina. Would there ever be a day that he would be able to see her, and hold her hands in his own once more? Ah, amore.
Heâs totally trying to be stoic and thoughtful. He looks like he fell asleep with his eyes open.Â

âż @justpompadoit has requested a battle!
â E-Eh? â Itsuki was used to being challenged like any normal martial artist affiliated with a dojo⌠But not in the middle of the street, in plain daytime with many people around her. Maybe going out that day wearing her judogi wasnât an idea as bright as it seemed, especially considered she wasnât going to train until way later in the day.Â
A short silence proceeded her as she took the time to think about it. A deep yet sure breath was the final sign that showed her determination. His grandpa would probably have done the same.Â
â I accept. Bring it on. â Even with some bystanders deciding to spend their time watching the battle, Itsuki decided it was best to deal with it right there. There wasnât many people that would be troubled by them taking some space of that alleyway, in fact, they seemed to rather enjoy it.
Kuwabara wasnât really one for challenging random people to fights out of the blue. Even back in his delinquent hay days, he normally kept his fights regulated to rival gangs challenging him, and throwing himself into fistfights with Urameshi. But after going toe to toe with a bunch of yokai that could easily wipe the floor with the average street punk. Eventually, knocking the teeth out of an unassuming kid just kind of left a bad taste in his mouth.Â
That was when he was actually on that level. That was when he could actually hold up his weight and make sure his teammates didnât get killed. It was when he could keep control of his abilities without them going in and out all the damn time. He needed to clear his head, get all these frustrations out and not sit around and let it churn and rot. And there was one way he had always distracted himself from that sort of shit.Â
So without thinking, he calls out to some random kid in a judo-gi, just wanted SOME sense of normalcy. But before he can stutter and take it back, he actually accepts, albeit looking confused. Okay... Okay, yeah. Thisâll be good. Just a normal, no strings attached, non-life or death brawl.Â

âRight. You better be ready.â He cracked his fists, ignoring the eager cheers of the crowd of randos that have crowded around the awning of the alley.Â
And with a loud shout he charges forward throwing the first punch.Â

Mitsuru didnât even have to say a word to the pompadoured young man to know what kind of person he was: after years of serving on Gekkoukan Highâs student council, she had dealt with enough delinquents to recognize them at first sight. Of course, unlike her gung-ho councilmate Odagiri, she wasnât going to demonize him or try to aggravate things; after all, in a place like this, things like social status and high school cliques had no meaning. Especially after her time with SEES, she knew that first impressions and appearances could be deceivingâŚ
However, she was going to say something â after all, there had to be a reason he was staring at her, though it could have been similar to her own piercing gaze; she couldnât blame him for trying to size her up as well. âIs there something you need?â
Living with his on-again/off-again spiritual awareness was both a relief and a giant headache. Like seriously, one minute heâs getting signals of different energy levels dipping all over the place, and then the next, he might as well just have cotton stuffed in his ears for all he was picking up on. Now he was going through a period of esp radio silence as heâs going about his business before he feels a sudden surge of. Something.Â
Blinking, he swerves his head around to see a giant armoured kind-of-monster-kind-of-statue looming over an apparently unsuspecting young woman. He opens his mouth as if to warn her, but in another moment, itâs gone. Wait. Wait, what?Â
He blinks. Stares. Blinks and stares again. Did his sense just shut off again? Or did it dissapear? Because he could have sworn-
And oh crap, she noticed him staring and was now returning the gesture. Damn, that was a no-bullshit stare if heâd ever seen one.Â

âUh, nah. I mean.â He stutters, caught off kilter, eyes darting between her and the space that used to be occupied by whatever the hell that was. If it was a threat, he should probably warn her, right?Â
âSo, like. Dâyou know if youâre being haunted or somethinâ?â
#hereditariae#[Mitsuru 001]#[Thanks for the starter!]#[Sorry if this is poorly written out but I'm kind of thinking of Kuwabara kind of picking up on her persona's presence his spiritual sense?]

A curious sight⌠There, in the boyâs hands, was a rather noticeable light. Energy, condensed and formed into a weaponâthat is, a sword. Perhaps not in the most refined form, no, but as he observed, it became clear that the blade maintained a solid, definite presence.Â
âThatâs quite the Arte for a boy your age.â He seemed genuinely impressed, though perhaps not for the reasons one might suspect. âAlthough, perhaps âArteâ might not be the correct term in this case⌠Given your clothing, I take it you hail from a different world entirely?â
âHn?â He turns hi gaze upward, and away from his attempt to get his rei-ken to actually change shape or extend like it used to. You know, before his powers decide to have the reliability of a tv antenna bent out of shape.Â
Almost predictably, his break in concentration causes the weapon to flicker away, but itâs happened enough time that Kuwabara could sullenly write it off as business as usual.Â
Whatâs more surprising is this guyâs appearance. Like, holy shit, thatâs a lot of spikes for one outfit. But by now, he had seen enough weirdos on this island that looked like they came straight out of his game collection. His random use of english-sounding words only lends more to that image.Â
âUh, yeah. Guess so.â He shoves his hands into his pocket as he gives him another look over, and notices the sword strapped to his hip. Huh. A knight, then?Â
âI mean, definitely different from yours.â

Itâs not the first time this has happened. Yuri lacked presence sometimes, as her dour serious look makes other pass over her, especially if she was anywhere near Momoka. But even by herself, people would often not notice her. Which was fine, Yuri would rather not be bothered.
She was studying, looking into the kinds of science that would constitute the creation of this place. She started with the many-worlds theory, in a somewhat simplified book. She had originally been reading it in the park, preferring this kind of difficult topic among the plant life she loved. However, her reading was soon interrupted by a young man swinging⌠was that a beam sword?
Interesting⌠So others had powers here, too. He hadnât seemed to notice her watching, despite their proximity. Standing up would cause problems, so she tried her best to ignore his constant yelling and focus on the book. Heâd notice eventually, or leave. Whichever came first was fine by her.
Hopefully the latter, if the young manâs antiquated yankee look was serious.
@justpompadoit
With the passing of what Kuwabara fondly remembered as âThe time monsters decided to swarm the whole fucking place and when he and Hiei almost fucking diedâ, some positives actually sprung up. Having an actual function city and electricity, for one. But more importantly, he had actually gotten some of his spiritual awareness back! Kind of. It kind of. Flickered in and out half the time. Which made the teenager want to scream. So he figured the best way to fix that was some good old training.Â
Problem was, he STILL somehow lacked the stamina or concentration that he used to have, because his powers. Kept. Stopping. Now was one of those times, unfortunately. After a couple of experimental reps with his Rei-ken, the energy sword flickered out of existence without warning.
âGod DAMN it!â He yells as he stomps his foot. What the hell was he doing wrong?! He tried bringing the blade back to his hand several times, but to no avail. It just. Made no sense. With the frustrated âtchâ, he swerves around to catch a pair of blue eyes quickly flicking down. Wait, when did that girl get here? Why hadnât he notice?
Kuwabaraâs face reddens, realizing he was essentially throwing a temper tantrum in front of such a proper serious-looking student. Great. Perfect. He was totally the shining example of chivalry, Yukina would be falling into his arms in no time!Â

âS-sorry! Didnât mean tâ interrupt your reading or anything!â He offers a quick bow in a weak attempt to demonstrate he had some proper upbringing.Â
#lilysonata#[Yuri 001]#[thanks for the starter!!]#[ah yes and I loved Heartcatch as an... Adult college student.]
