Juno had been planning on writing about Pride but not in the way that she had a habit about writing about individual people. She didn’t go about disrespecting celebrations like this and more than anything wanted to do a classic 'who is out celebrating ' spotting of anyone she saw while she was enjoying the festivities herself.

Based on how she was dressed for the day it was clear she was more than for celebration than work. Which was why her brow instantly raised the question posed at her. “ do I know you?” She asked glancing back toward the person. Kenny loved these things and was excited to be apart of another pride celebration, but when they spotted someone in the crowd their smile faltered slightly.

“ it really can. Most people need just the tiniest bit of wiggle room to manipulate a situation” Juno noted. She knew that one well because that was often how she operated when it came to her work. She tried not to be that way, but sometimes no one was listening if she didn’t bend the truth. Then where would she be? “ that’s nice though. She loved her parents and she still loved the family that was supposed to have been her in law’s, but life had other plans

Orianas take on gossip had Juno a bit surprised. As if she had found one of the few people that didn’t hate her profession and what it could do. “ people really shouldn’t believe a lot of it at face value. "Exactly. I used to act like I was being filmed all the time unless I was in my apartment. Like even in the backyard. It was exhausting, but anything can be taken out of context." Of course, Oriana knew that she wasn't really the person that people wanted to follow in the media. Still there were people that were obsessed with her dating life and she was still somewhat of an influencer now. "Yeah. I was a bit tired of that. I missed my dad too."

Oriana did not want to mention that coming here was just her running away from her fiancé. That was done and over. There was no drama there. She didn't like to think about the life that she left and she was happier here for it—or so she was trying to tell herself. "Yeah, but that's the fun about gossip in my opinion. Like it's not always true, so you have to do your own research. And the fact that some of it might be false is fun. It's like a little mystery." Oriana let out a laugh. "I have nothing to hide from a journalist, but it's really a boring story anyways."

She laughed at the statement. "For sure," she agreed with a unserious tone to her voice. "Eh, I'll see how it plays out for a bit and then when she throws her drink on him you'll have something to watch. But if she doesn't I can step in."

Juno was often on the outside of things and that was what she preferred. If she wasn’t super involved and kept a distance; there were rarely any ramifications of she kept everyone at arms length. However there were the times she’d run into others or see people she’d written stories about in the wild and Juno would often hide or at the very least not draw attention to herself.

Seeing Arkin O’Connells girlfriend after being unkind to him in writing was something she was trying to avoid. She knew he had gotten involved with local Aurora Bay royalty as a levin but she had been lucky not to run into either in public so far. She could only hope that Sterling didn’t know what she looked like. But then again; Google was a thing. It would be very easy to match her name to her face. Not wanting to take a chance Juno snuck under the awning of one of the buildings in the Mainstreet only to drop her coffee. " Shit"

It was no secret that she was probably made the second she walked in but that didn’t mean Nino still couldn’t enjoy herself. The story might be dead for the day; but the drinks were still pretty good and she was sort of the type to try to have fun even if the work wasn’t happening. “ depends really. “ she admitted. Juno wasn’t the type to go out of her way to mess with someone just trying to have a good night. She just observed. Sometimes that took all night and she’d still get nothing.

Sal eye's her curiously with her response, unsure if her vagueness was deliberately for his benefit or if it was how she generally conducted herself. Juno felt like she had enough to make some pretty good stories happen by next week. Unless Deuxmoi scooper her first which would annoy the hell out of her. But she didn’t want to think about any of that; at the cost of ruining her night in the process.

Instead she made her way back to where she thought Kalani was and yet it took her a second to find him. It wasn’t like he was particularly hard to spot. He looked like some sort of god among mortals; it with a really chill attitude.

“ wait what?” Juno asked as soon as he mentioned drinks but there were no glasses in hand. “ how did you? I feel like you could have gone back right? The lines not too bad “ @kalanixhale

Kalani was excited to go to prom with another writer, but he hadn’t anticipated how much harder it would be to sneak away and take notes for his novel he wanted to write. Inspiration seemed to strike him at the worst possible times, and he’d have to step away and jot down his ideas in his notebook as fast as possible.

Thankfully he hadn’t raised any brows yet, but when he walked back to his date, she asked that question and he realized he’d have to think of a lie quickly.

“Oh, I was just… getting us drinks.” He was an awful liar and he had no idea how he kept his pen name a secret all these years. He didn’t have drinks in his hands so he let out a soft chuckle and shook his head. “I was thirsty.”

Juno could count her friends on one hand and she knew why. She was friendly but she came with a huge neon sign that told everyone she was press and not the fun kind. The one that may or may not have leaked stories about other people living in Aurora Bay. She’s pretty sure she leaked a few pregnancies and was waiting for the subjects to connect the dots. When it came to work Juno quickly realized that it was better to work smaller because she didn’t have to refer to a boss. She was her own boss now and she felt a lot more liberated as a result. With people on her own life? Well for Juno that was always small. It was hard to be friends with her and she knew that. “ kind of have to step in when something spirals out of control. "Drunk people are fun to watch if they're doing interesting things. I've always preferred watching people when they don't think they're being watched." She thought people gave too much away while drunk and it took the fun out of guessing someone's emotions. In another lifetime she would have made a great journalist. "Me too. Smaller network here in Aurora Bay, but I needed a break from all of that."

Oriana on the other hand did like to cause drama sometimes. It made for a more fun day when she could watch things play out the way she imagined them. She only caused problems for people that needed to cause problems for the people she loved and cared about. "Ah, yeah, that can be a pain. People really should be away of others." She nodded. "Of my own making. Disappeared from my old life, but that's okay. I missed home."

She laughed. So many people would tell her to go off and have fun. She appreciated being told to be comfortable. "He's going to anyway regardless of what I do. It would be her or someone else. I can see the hunger in his eyes." She didn't care either way. "Oh I wouldn't be uncomfortable. I just don't want to act like I care."

"I can believe it. The night time really makes it seem much more magical." Jason traveled a bit and he got the idea that some places were much better suited for night than day. It gave him a bit of whiplash at times. "I mean at times I do especially if I feel I've seen them before in like a show or movie." eleanor wasn't exactly sure if it was a good idea to go to the prom since she just got back in town last month and she's still trying to settle back in aurora bay. but it seemed like such a nostalgic event that she couldn't quite pass up. always the people watcher, her eyes widened a little at the sight before her. “ the magic is definitely gone and you quickly realize you’re just in middle of nowhere” Juno noted with a sort of surprised expression. She didn’t mind the area at all but there was a stark difference from day to night. “ do you try to ever figure out who they are while talking to them? “ she asked before her expression grew into a smirk. “ oh you we’re gonna mess with me huh? "True. I can only imagine that it's a wild sight." Jason spoke, his smile growing a bit. It wasn't like he tried to hide at all. Even if he tried, he knew it would be futile. His face was too familiar. "I get that. I hardly even know I run into someone else famous unless I'm at an event." He couldn't help but give a laugh as he heard her words.
