Public Services Announcement: Please read the actual dissent by Justice Sotomayor. We need to understand that our right to equal protection under the law is under assault. But in this age of mass distraction via TV/Mass Media programming that is meant to distract us from issues that affect our everyday life go unnoticed. We need to adopt the historical legal strategy of the NAACP during the 50's and 60's and push litigation through the courts. Currently, there is a vacancy on the SCOTUS that hinges on this presidential election. I have heard my people say they are not voting because both choices are like getting shot in the head or getting stabbed in the neck. Getting stabbed in the neck to some is voting for Hillary. You need to vote but take Bernie's advice keep the pressure going after the election and do not stop the revolution. The stakes are too high. Let me here you thoughts...

Raising successful children can be one of the most challenging jobs in which there is very little training. This is a good read that is a reminder of how I was blessed with good parents who pushed me to do my best. When I failed they told me to dust myself off and try again. Never give up, never quite. Not it is my turn in this parenting circle of life... :-)
