Ariel ducked under the counter, trying to be as stealthy as she could. Her shifted had started an hour earlier-hopefully her Dad hadn’t noticed or at the very least one of her sisters covered for her. The redhead moved quietly, tying her apron around her waist, thinking she was in the clean until she locked eyes with a customer at the counter who had probably seen everything. “Oh, uh,” Her mouth twisted into a sheepish smile, “Still waiting for someone to take your order?”

neptune’s wave was one of the few places jim genuinely liked about going into town. there were multiple occasions where he had done some work on the boats that belonged to the current owner, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the food triton and his family served up. “you know, you need to work on sneaking into places. i’m pretty sure i saw one of the other waitress going away to tell the boss you’re late.” he joked. “no, i already got it taken --- togo order.” he recognized her as one of triton’s daughters, jim has seen her around before, but never introduced himself.

«  i’m not lost, per say…  »  lying through her teeth, eyes squint for any sign of where exactly she was. three years and still, kiara constantly found herself wandering around, itching to find corners undiscovered but when she did       —      oh well, look at that, no where to go but around in circles. she only prayed that her brother wouldn’t find her, drag her by the ear with a lecture he has hanging off his tongue. definitely looking forward to that the second she stepped back onto her own campus three minutes too late. an obvious grimace curled against her lips as she made attention to her company, wide smile soon replacing it.  «  just a little confused. mind helping me out?  »

there weren’t many people who came around these parts of town, jim couldn’t really blame them. with nothing much going on, it was mostly quiet. not a lot of citizens lived where he chose to settle down. though business for him was always running due to his ability to fix or build anything quickly and nicely. he did find it strange when he saw someone lurking around his street, someone who looked like they didn’t belong here. “why’d you think i asked if i wasn’t planning on helping you out? did you want to go back into town or something?”

born in rockport, massachusetts to a fishermen and a mother who owned her own inn called benbow, there he helped waiter and buss 

his father left his family because he couldn’t handle the responsibilities of being a husband or dad

this sparked jim to become a problematic teenager who got in trouble with the authorities on several occasions aka he got daddy issues

learned mechanics and engineering at a young age and rebuilt the motorcycle he uses now 

had to move in with a family friend due to some criminals coming in and burning down the inn, but found his passion in space and treasure hunting from the man who was housing them at the time 

was able to hunt down one of the treasures on one of the maps he found and managed to rebuild the inn for his mom with the money he got from it 

decided to move away, was originally gonna go down south, but he passed through avenir and decided to stay. 

he’s been a resident for eleven years now and lives on the outskirts of the town 

he owns one of the main mechanic shops and you can see him around different parts of town looking for whatever resources he can get a hold of 

the only reason why he gets in trouble with the police now is if he trespasses into private property but also has a problem with fighting people he thinks are jerks.. he a good boy :))

is really private about his life, might come off as a little brooding, but he’s really a sweetheart deep down

he’s always finding new things in avenir so you might catch him at the weirdest places at the weirdest times lol

also likes stargazing woW he wishes he could be an astronaut rip
