VE Schwab's Vicious did NOT disappoint. I might've even liked it better than Addie LaRue - it seems like it's literally built to be read in one sitting, maybe thanks to the non-linear storytelling. Which I'm glad I didn't know about beforehand, because I generally run in the opposite direction of those types of books, but this time I was in too deep to stop. I actually loved the way it worked, with different pieces of the puzzle from different perspectives and different times getting put together all the way up until the climax.

I'm going to be so for real I kind of expected Viktor x Jayce homoerotic undertones. And. I got Victor x Eli homoerotic undertones. I don’t think it’s exactly a 1:1 comparison, beyond the academic partners turned rival aspect, but still. There's just something about dedicating your life to entrapping your ex-best friend who betrayed you, am I right?

so ‘snow for christmas’ was about simon kind of being around bazs family and everything, but can you imagine the cosy domesticity of snowbaz in the salisbury house….

jamie sending about ten texts a day asking about what simon likes & what he’d want for christmas so he gets it absolutely Perfect….
