INTRODUCING REBELCAPTAIN FIX-IT WEEK

WHAT THIS IS: a Rebelcaptain fan-event centered around fix-its as a theme. because they deserve their happy ending, don't they? special shoutout to Ebby for encouraging me to do this, and Stell for coming up with many of the prompts.

SCHEDULE: the event will run from June 16 to 22

RULES

✩ the obvious ones: your creation has to center around Jyn and Cassian, and their relationship.

✩ since it's a fix-it event, all creations should take place after Scarif. this means two things: Jyn and Cassian should survive Scarif (the rest of the rogues' fates are up to you), and all creations should be canon to the movie (besides, of course, the ending). that means no different first meetings, no Galen or Lyra lives AUs, no canon divergence, etc. missing scenes are allowed (for example, if you want to imagine they kissed in the elevator, we just didn't get to see it, and now they're agonizing over what that meant, that's alright). anything other than the movie's canon is up to the creator's discretion. if you'd rather not use the novelization, Andor, Rebel Rising, or any bonus materials as a basis, that's completely fine.

✩ any type of fanwork is welcome! fanfics, fanart, gifsets, graphics, metas, rec lists... you name it.

✩ no sign-ups required, anyone can participate. if you see a prompt you like, and you want to make something for it, go ahead!

✩ angst is allowed, but since it's a fix-it event, your creation should have a happy or at least hopeful ending.

✩ we wanted to give you guys some variety and options so we provided several prompts for each day - a scenario, word prompts, and a song. you only need to use one of them for your creation, but if you wanna be adventurous and combine all of them, be my guest!

✩ late entries are fine! for example, if you started making something for day 2 but couldn't finish it until day 5, post it anyway! (just make sure to specify it's for day 2.) I know we all have busy lives, and I know these events can be stressful sometimes because of the time constrict, and I don't want that to be the case here. this is a low-stakes, low-pressure event. the purpose of this week is to encourage more Rebelcaptain-themed creations, whenever it's ready 💜

✩ any rating is allowed but tag appropriately! if any triggers appear in your work, don't forget to list them.

✩ I'll be using the tag rcfixitweek for organization. feel free to tag your creations with it too so we can all find each other's works!

✩ I will, roughly a week before the event, create a collection on AO3 for those who might want to put their fics in it. it's not mandatory, it's just so we might easily browse everyone's entries. I'll make a post about it when it's live and update this post with a link as well!

Not a huge fan. I find that the later tropes fit my vibe more

The only reason this is low is because in normal fiction I despise this trope. But in fan fic where I already know and love the characters it could work.

There was a time where I was OBSESSED with ABO- specifically high school. It’s hard to do right but when it’s done well OOOOOOO BOY I eat it up. Thought about writing an ABO Rebelcaptain where Jyn is a lonely alpha and Cassian is an omega masking as a beta. If there’s any interest lmk 👀
