• Empathy & Ethics Project WEEK 2
• Re-Generate - Fashion Lineup Development WEEK 3

Thursday 27th of March 2025
Today we started the empathy and ethics workshop with a class discussion about a documentary we watched in our own time called ‘The True Cost’ by Director Andrew Morgan, which is about the cost of fast fashion.
After that Aisling asked us to from groups of 4 in which each group worked together to discuss and make note of all the stakeholders in the fashion business/industry. I was in a group with Maryann, Maggie and Alice and we worked together as a group, and I wrote, all the roles we could think of in order of the the fashion process and/or development, from the beginning to end. In the same groups we then moved onto going more in depth with our answers and broke it up into 3 categories, Design, Manufacturing and Consumption. A lot of areas over lapped here.
We were then asked to pick one of the people in the groups “Garment” and learn about the details of it. Where was it manufactures/handcrafted/founded, how much does it cost, material details, sizes, about the brand, end of lift status etc . We chose Maryanns garment to analyse which we actually really struggled with as the brand of the corset no longer exists and never really existed so fair what was on the tag which as you can see we couldn’t get that much information on it but I think the intricate copper eyelids, the lace the steel boning also add such luxuries feathers to it.
Then one from each group that explain how they as a group organised themselves and what we learned from it.
Lineup Development, I finished my full 6 fashion looks for my Carry Bradshaw Collection too today.
