Golden Ratio fic (Aventurine x Dr. Ratio) Dr. Ratio is referred to as "Veritas"
Not proofread, we die like Aventurine's sister
--
Days blurred into weeks, and weeks turned into an entire month yet Aventurine was still not home. He wouldn't admit it, but Veritas was missing his precense in their shared hotel room.
Occasionally, he'd send him a message or two. Usually it was his blonde lover greeting him a goodmorning or a goodnight, and he'd respond with a few emojis.
This day was different.
Forty-three seconds after the clock turns 7:53 AM, there should be a Goodmorning text from Aventurine.
But there was nothing.
Veritas waited patiently as sometimes it took his lover a full minute to send the text.
Ten minutes go by, still nothing.
‘How agitating,’ Veritas thought as he rubbed his temples; pretending that this didn't affect him. How would his students react to their their strict educator with an even stricter moral compass being so saddened from the lack of a ‘Goodmorning’ text from his lover? Surely a sight to behold, a sight he was not letting anyone see.
The day went by and the blue of the sky faded into the shadows of night. It's 11:34 PM, a minute and twelve seconds later, there should be a Goodnight text from Aventurine. If Aventurine wasn't feeling like greeting his lover in the morning, surely he'd do it in the night?
Wrong.
Veritas feels like a fool waiting for his lover's little profile picture to start typing and send a cheeky, “Have sweet dreams, my doctor~” message or something of the sort. The clock glowed 12:03 AM in the darkness of Veritas’ room. It was empty, like it had always been this past month.
Veritas sighed. He feels like a lovesick schoolgirl.
“Goodnight, gambler”
seen
He slept on Aventurine's side of the bed that night.
A week goes by and it's all radio silence on Aventurine's end, and Veritas couldn't be any more frustrated.
He drowned himself in work and tasks to forget the hollowness he's feeling on the inside. Eventually he stopped that habit after his students asked if he was doing alright. He should lead by example, and being so caught up and depressed over the lack of conversation with your lover is not a model example.
Veritas was fond of reading, it was a great source of knowledge and he could never be seen without holding a book in his hand. Lately he's been reading more. If you think of him as a bookworm, well now he's a book-true sting.(???) Encylopedia-thick books stack up on eachother, the height almost reached Veritas’ navel.
The silence was deafening, but Veritas learned to get used to it pretty quickly. The sound of his bedroom door being unlocked, however, was something he was not used to. Quickly setting aside, the book in his hand, Veritas swiftly approached the door. Peering into the peephole, he saw the familiar blonde. Oh how longing filled up the emptiness in his heart.
Hastily, he opened the door as Aventurine, for some reason, was struggling to unlock the door. As soon as the door opened, Aventurine's eyes widened as he made contact with his lover's. Immediately, he collapsed in his arms without a moment of hesitation.
Veritas placed a hand on his lower back and the other on Aventurine's nape. He gazed at the lovely blonde before lifting him up and placing him on their shared bed.
“Change your clothes,” Veritas said as he laid his lover delicately on the soft mattress as if he was fragile porcelain. Yet no matter how much care he expressed in his actions, he did not spare a glance to Aventurine. This confused his lover.
“Mm, I'm a bit tired… can you help me undress?” Aventurine said, looking at his beloved doctor through his eyelashes. He received no response, only a glance from Veritas, his face being stoic as it usually was. This confused him even more.
“Veritas? Veeeriitaaass!” Aventurine whined yet all Veritas did was clean up his messy pile of books. “Hey, hey why are you ignoring me… hmm?” Aventurine sat up, gazing at his lover as he sat down on the velvet couch to… read a book.
Aventurine is being outdone by a book. Why is his lover paying attention to a book rather than him!? He's enticing, isn't he?! Maybe he just needs to offer more
than that petty book…
“The IPC has recently made collaborations with the Genius Society on a certain project,” Aventurine said staring intently on the back of Veritas’ head, yet he didn't even turn to look at him.
“Is that the reason why you failed to acknowledge my messages to you?” Veritas asked, Aventurine swore he saw his lover grip the book's spine a bit harder. “Uhm, messages..?” He mumbled as he hastily opened his phone.
Lo and behold, twenty-four messages from his lover.
“Messages… messages, right.. hahaha.. hah..?” Aventurine looked up from his phone to meet eyes with Veritas. “You have a debt to settle, gambler.”
“Debt? Mm, do enlighten me, doctor~♡

The Breathe Of First Life
A sentient Dan Heng hsr fic
--
Dan Heng felt eyes burn on the back of his head.
His companions, the Cloud Knight and the merchant doesn't seem to feel it, let alone alone notice it.
It was unnerving, maybe even frightening, so much so that he decided to keep quiet -- earning himself the nickname, "Silent But Deadly," from the Cloud Knight girl. Atleast it's not as bad as Cold Dragon Young.
When in combat, Dan Heng's moves are calculated. But when the mysterious, staring precense, he suddenly feels light. It feels like something or someone is telling him to attack, to target. He feels stronger.
Dan Heng feels as if he's being puppeteered. He should be mad, rightfully so. How dare someone control him? It doesn't matter if it was an Aeon or anything. But then again, it feels nice, sort of.
The moment his conversation with Caelus through the phone ended, the precense suddenly ceased -- it was as if it evaporated.
He should be glad but all he feels is numbness. It was like part of his soul was ripped away, and he didn't even know if he had his soul complete in the first place.
The precense came back when he was fighting the familiar Stellaron Hunter and the Xianzhou's Lieutenant. Instead of controlling him like he was used to in the previous battles, the precense just watched him. It was lingering all over the place. Sometimes its gaze was on him, sometimes it wasn't.
--
As he split the sea, revealing Scalegorge Waterscape, the precense watched intently. He felt quite a bit of pressure, both from the people below him and the mysterious precense. It didn't really matter as he executed his task, perfectly.
Maybe when this all blows over, he could ask Mr. Yang about this strange phenomenon. After all, the Data Bank seemed to be a bit empty.
--
The fight with the Emanator of Destruction, Phantylia went off without a hitch... Is how the others would have described it. But Dan Heng knew better.
Phantylia struck the General, leaving him on his knees, blood seeping out.
And everything stopped.
Then everything went back into place. Everyone was in the same position whe the battle first begun. It was as if he had turned back in time. He wanted to ask someone what just happened but Phantylia attacked before he could get a word out of his mouth.
There was one time when all of them were on their knees, defeated by the Emanator. Then it stopped again, everything just stopped.
Then he was back again, fighting Phantylia with his allies he swore were on the ground drawing their final breathe.
The battle repeated three or four times before Phantylia was eventually defeated. General Jing Yuan was nearly turned into a member of the Anti-Matter legion, but thankfully the Emanator failed in doing so.
This is his chance, now is the time to ask what the hell's going on. What is it with the precense staring at him? What is it with the timeloop during the battle against Phantylia?
He asked, yet received no answer.
It was only when he asked Caelus that same question.
"Do you feel.. that?" Dan Heng asked after approaching the silver-haired boy. "Feel what?" He spared his companion a confused glance. "A precense, eyes," He responded, looking around them cautiously.
"Precense? Yeah, what about it?" Caelus answered a he crossed his arms, ignoring the oddity of the situation or maybe he just didn't know it was odd.
"You feel it too?" Dan Heng asked again, his eyes widening. The trailblazer nodded, "Yeah, the others can't seem to notice it," Caelus added, glancing at March and Mr. Yang briefly.
Dan Heng felt a bit reassured that he wasn't going crazy, but then again the Trailblazer was a bit crazy... some people just have trashcan searching as a hobby, he supposed.
"Mm, what about the timeloop when we were fighting Phantylia? Does it have anything to do with it?"
"..."
"...?"
"What timeloop?"
