In the library of TU Delft, there is a Tinker Table that we used to showcase the process of one student, aiming to encourage people to visit LR and see our exhibition.

In groups, we worked on pitches to create an exhibition of all our work in the basement of LR. We experimented with the things we could borrow from Bouwkunde.

I am Kaat van der Leeuw.
I am currently in my fourth year at the Willem de Kooning Academy, where I am pursuing a degree in Spatial Design. And I am doing a Minor at Bouwkunde. Before joining Willem de Kooning, I spent 2.5 years studying in Maastricht, focusing on architecture and interior design at the art academy.
As a designer, my focus lies in understanding the human experience within a space and how it can be influenced. Additionally, my work revolves around evoking emotions and creating spaces that offer meaningful experiences.

For the column workshop, I was thinking of putting questions and answers on the pillars, like quiz questions, to encourage people to engage with the collection and apply it to the studies they can do there. Alternatively, I thought of creating directional signs on the pillars to make it easier and quicker to locate different parts of the collection.

Went to kunsthall and kunst instituut melly.
Kunsthal:
At the Kunsthal, I visited the Richard Avedon exhibition, which was designed in a very simple style. Everything was blue with metallic text on the walls, allowing the black-and-white photos to speak for themselves. What I found particularly beautiful was how you were guided toward the light, where they had created a large photo wall. It naturally drew you in that direction, which was very well done.
Melly:
which showcases very modern art that can sometimes be challenging and always has something new to offer. I went there in particular because they use fluorescent lighting on the ceiling to illuminate the artworks. Since we also have fluorescent lighting in our space, this time I focused more on the ceiling to see how they approach it.
