Today's Reflection: I ate many more calories than I'd hoped for today. I think I was doing quite reasonably while still being generous, as it was my birthday celebration with my family. What pushed it far over were the chicken wings at the end of the night and maybe the espresso martini. But I also did a lot more steps than usual, and Iโ€™m not going to allow myself to feel too guilty for celebrating with my whฤnau. It is what it is.

Today's Reflection: I have started counting calories. Although Iโ€™m reducing my binging and purging, Iโ€™m still struggling with overeating and eating a lot of fast food (I believe Iโ€™m addicted to it). So Iโ€™m using calorie counting to better understand whatโ€™s going into my body in relation to my energy needs.
To be clear, Iโ€™m not using calorie counting to restrict โ€” but to lose weight gently and slowly (as Iโ€™m obese and itโ€™s causing genuine health issues), in a way thatโ€™s sustainable and doesnโ€™t put too much pressure on my body.

Today's Reflection: I've been feeling really stuck with my eating. I've dramatically decreased my binging and purging, but underneath the full-blown eating disorder is a food addiction (especially to highly processed, fatty, salty junk food) and disordered eating patterns still. I don't know how to overcome it without abstaining? You know? Like, when I was younger, I stopped eating for the most part and I found not eating much easier than eating a moderate balanced diet. And I feel that would still be the case. But I also know not eating nowadays is likely to trigger binge eating.
