[Hello. It’s been a while, I know. As I may have mentioned in my last entries, life beyond Ouran has taken over, and my attention has shifted to writing out my personal future over Kyouya’s. Enough about us, however. I’m here to share this gift from a thoughtful friend who took years to lovingly produce this video... some parts even feature art from this blog. A short background: 10 years ago on a certain roleplay site, I befriended @kokoronoking​, the Tamaki to this Kyouya. My friend has since been a huge influence on Kyouya’s portrayal. Much like the actual host club, we had an insanely fun time in our roles, making people happy in the process. Those were 2 carefree years. In that span of time, we poured an extraordinary amount of thought into the characters, down to writing about their futures... and this blog was a byproduct of it. So if you enjoyed this blog in its heyday, Tamaki-mun is one of the reasons why. To Tamaki-mun: Thanks for this wonderful video and for helping bring this blog to life. While we may have moved on from our time playing “family” with guests, I hope you continue to make people around you smile the way you did in our time. Thank you ‘brother’. So i just discovered this blog and I love this show so much but I don't know who to follow for more ohshc content!! Can you recommend some good blogs for me? My dash is sorely missing this show and I need more 😭😭

Just kidding. Goodness, joking under this account doesn't fly well, does it?

I had a brief outline of his 7 years after high school... which ends in a cliffhanger, to be honest. Most of the writing on this blog was from creating stories with the asks received and a roleplay I had 10 years ago. There really isn't much to disclose aside from headcanons.

Oh I know, why don't we make a game out of it?

-If Ouran Season 2 comes out

-OR this still remains untouched by June 3rd, 2025 (the 7th year)

-and for some reason people still remember this exists...

Then I'll entertain as many questions as I possibly could about this blog and this characterization.

aaaaa I loved this blog so much! Are you ever coming back?

[Hello, it's nice to see that people missed this blog. I would very much love to come back. Ah, if only this could be a full time job! I would love to draw and write about Kyouya forever if I were paid to. I lend my disappearance to my own real life becoming this exciting narrative, one that I would only write about. Things like... The future is an exciting thing that we build towards.. Time being a precious commodity that you may never have again once it slips away... Learning how to be vulnerable... Holding dear friends and people who love us... that in the grand scheme of things, we shouldn't take them for granted because we are caught up in our own pursuits. Those were a few themes touched on in this blog. I suppose I realized, I wanted to live out these ideas I’ve written and wanted to write about. I wanted to be as excited about my future as I was excited about planning Kyouya's. So the love I once poured on his character I now pour into something more tangible and real... in my own future, and in the people around me. Perhaps this was a long-winded dramatic non-answer. I apologize. But in all seriousness, I'm happy you found joy in this blog. I hope to be back one day, though at this point in time I admittedly don't see it happening. On the possibility that I do, there's no doubt my new experiences will breathe life and credibility into this place. Would you believe I've started exploring the world of investing? I've admittedly become a bit more like Kyouya... more opportunistic and business-minded. Life imitates art, I suppose. Hehe. I hope everyone else who loved this blog is doing well. Let's all take a cue from our favorite megane: May we all have dreams to chase... but even louder, may we never forget to be vulnerable and love the people who matter most. -K.M.

I might just be dumb, but what is a conglomerate?

[No worries. No one should ever worry about asking dumb questions.

And I don’t know if you’re addressing Kyouya, or if you’ve already googled it by now. Essentially, a conglomerate is a group of companies under a giant name… hence the Ootori Group. One good real life example is the Volkswagen Group. Aside from Volkswagen, they also own other car brands like Porsche, Audi, and Lamborghini.

We don't know exactly what the whole Ootori Group entails, except that they seem to diversify in business. I do have my own ideas outside of what are mentioned in the series... which I may or may not explore in the future. Let's keep it at that, shall we?

Interests and fondness headcannons for Kyoya coming right up 💫- mod baka

-Kyoya has a big interest in economics, mainly the stock markets side rather than the more political side. Since studying business at university he probably has print outs of current Japanese stock exchanges hung up on a board in his room.

-He’s also a fan of classic art and architecture and probably has a few books on the subject. He also sometimes visits various gallery’s and museums in his free time. He would also appreciate art and literature with a slight political undertones as well.

-Has taken up painting as a hobby on various occasions, and is quite fond of watercolour based paintings.

-He has a fondness to more bitter tastes, he prefers his coffee black with no sugar and prefers 100% dark chocolate over other more sweet tastes.

-He has a liking for lavender and citrus based scents, especially from a significant other.

After reading the manga, I’ve often wondered if my love for Kyoya has clouded my vision of his father. Does Yoshio being a horrible father make him a horrible person? Obviously, he’s absolutely awful in the anime. In the manga, Yoshio does actually do some things later on that, while greatly benefit him and his company, also benefit others (specifically certain individuals, but I don’t want to give away spoilers). Things that - from a business standpoint - weren’t entirely necessary. I guess that’s where my issue is. I hate him, especially as a father, but I can’t say he isn’t human. Despite popular belief, I do think he really wants his sons, especially Kyoya, to succeed. (I don’t know what his deal is with Fuyumi. He’s just a complete douche toward her). I think he saw his potential early on and pushed him so hard because of it. Still, I don’t think he went about it correctly.

Things I CAN’T blame him for :

1. Having high expectations (even if they are unrealistic - remember Kyoya does surpass those expectations which is astounding).

2. Being tough. (In his position, you’d have to be).

3. Prioritizing the business. (Just because I’ve seen this happen to people personally and sometimes they genuinely do not realize it).

Things I ABSOLUTELY blame him for :

1. Never once giving so much as a “well done” when one of his kids achieves greatness. Even if he isn’t affectionate, he could at least give an approving nod. 

2. Crossing the line from strict to just mean. (I’m hesitant to say abusive because I don’t consider a slap to be abuse - also, he did not slap Kyoya in the manga so…). Mean? Yes. Abusive? Ehh…not really. Negligent, maybe.

3. Prioritizing the business to the point that it seems his family doesn’t matter EXCEPT for the purpose of continuing the company.

[Dear Anonymous,It’s nice of you to remember me. This blog has taken a backseat in favor of my personal life. Doesn’t help that my computer has been a pain lately and I’ve been hit with a creative block.I will report that I’ve planned out a few answers to some of the questions. Right now, I’m struggling with stringing them into a coherent chapter. And then execution can take months altogether.
