◇ Hi all (anyone who's still here) I know I made a post previously and put in my pinned post that I've only really been active on my multifandom multimuse blog but wanted to make another one because I didn't want to be another blog that vanishes without a trace or no explanation (and then also for myself because it eats at me when plotlines go unfinished).

So anyway, the ygo rpc has been pretty inactive (at least from what I can tell and by blogs I could see myself interacting with) so that largely is why I've ventured elsewhere. Also have been just having brainrot for other fandoms and muses in general.

Some cliff notes of how I wanted things to go/end for the bros though:

-After a lot of Dimension experimentation Seto would find a way to create a device that would be able to re-create the overloading experience he had when traveling to Atem's dimension but in a digestible way that wouldn't borderline break someone's mind.

-This is finished on New Year's and Seto tracks Mokuba down late at night as the younger is taking the last of the trains back to the hotel he was staying at for the holidays. Mokuba is hesitant, but hopeful at the sight of his brother.

-Seto explains all the work he's done to create this device so Mokuba can know what it was like and why Seto felt like he wasn't able to talk about all he saw. Mokuba starts to get upset again, thinking Seto will once again just use a bunch of gadgets instead of properly talking to him and treating him like an equal. Seto quickly assures him that the device is only there if Mokuba wants to use it, but through this research and time away Seto has realized where he screwed up and that while he did have a valid reason for finding his trip to Atem's dimension impossible to talk about (he gives a few examples of the worlds that really messed him up mentally) he should have been more upfront with Mokuba about why and that he wasn't trying to hide things from him and shouldn't have tried to shield Mokuba from the ugly side of things or treat him like a little kid.

He apologizes and promises to treat Mokuba like an equal now that they are both much older than they used to be.

-Mokuba tackles him in a hug and they leave together as the snow continues to fall. Later, Mokuba does try the device at least for a little bit and then fully realizes the gravity of what Seto was exposed to.

-Mokuba goes on to be very involved in theater costume creation and design and becomes well known for it once he reaches his mid-20s. Around that time he also finds and befriends a stray dog who he names Shiro. He lives in America for a lot of the year due to the film and theater industry there but whenever he has a project in Japan he stays with Seto always. He visits often too. They more or less live happily ever after though there are always new challenges but the super dangerous part of their lives is over and they charge forward to their futures.

Sounds pretty flat when summed up like that but wanted it out there just for the sake of it.

It's been fun ygo fandom, so glad this is what got me into rping properly and it was so nice to make the friends I did here. If any of my mutuals would like to add me on disc.rd just shoot me an IM and I'll give you my username. I won't say I'll never come back as it seems ygo never fully leaves you haha, but for now, indefinitely I will mostly be over on @shallliveoninsong

He will pick up whatever is closest to him--which happened to be a fairly heavy binder--and whack the other over the head with it. Not enough to cause any serious damage, but enough to get his point across.

Apparently, Cyno was very by the book for these matters. Unfortunately, Kaiba wasn't aware of what the book was in this dimension.

Thankfully he had the foresight to program Lalna to not give any important information to anyone but him. Poor A.I. was probably confused as hell with all these new people talking to it after being in sleep mode while out in the desert.

Kaiba holds up a hand to try and get his traveling companion to cease. "I'll be fine Kaveh, don't get yourself into trouble on my behalf. I can handle myself."

Despite his prideful words, he did mean it. Despite the oddities Kaveh had been a solid ally and one he didn't wish to drag into his own mess on the off chance he gets thrown into jail and has to make an escape.

Kaiba turned his attention back to Jackal-boy.

"I have no objections to that. My machine--it's called a Duel Disk--has an A.I. assistant program in it. That's what your subordinate was talking to. Let me have access to it again and I'll be more than happy to show you any and all data from my time in that blasted desert."

Cyno’s stoic look remained. The foreigner could laugh but stranger things have happened. “You were implicated by the suspects. I need to make sure everything is verified. If a thief says the sky is blue I need to make sure of it.” It's what made him get this position. Whether or not Kaiba liked it was none of his concern.

His brows furrowed a bit. “Kaveh's briefcase isn't exactly smart. That thing of yours did and held a fairly adequate conversation with one of my men. Which is what makes me suspicious.”

“It's a little suspicious but there has—”

“If you interrupt again I will ask you to stand outside, Kaveh.”

The blond tenses in place. 

“I'm sorry but I need to check every possibility.”

“I… understand.” Kaveh said bitterly. It was a well known fact but it had been the first time they've gotten like this. Kaveh's troubles didn't usually include the law.

“Thank you. Now then.” Cyno gazes back to the stranger. “I would like to see your machine. If what you're saying is true, surely we can find some record of this on it.”

"It's quite handy to know how the human body reacts to injuries. You never know when it might be useful," he retorts. "And I retain it because I'm a genius who can remember just about everything," he says with a roll of his eyes.

Really? A vampire? Ridiculous.

"A mirror?" he repeats flatly.

The inventor fishes his phone out of his pocket instead.

"Do you not have a phone?" his voice drips with sarcasm but he switches on the camera app before handing it over to Otogi.

But this was a compromise he'd accept, even if he would rather just look at the injury himself.

" What is this, fun facts with the world's most absurdly dressed brunet? " Just what was the point of that? A power play he doesn't get? " Are you actually a fucking vampire? Why the hell would you retain that information? " He questions, somewhat rhetorically. Though he wouldn't be opposed to hearing the reason. He imagines it's probably something along the lines of Kaiba speed-running medical school in the near future just to prove he can.

... Wait. That actually sounds hilarious. Kaiba saving lives? Otogi supposes a head injury's not THAT bad if it amounted into him getting to imagine that. There's what appears to be a chuckle bubbling into him, even, but he's quick to repress it and diverge into some level of seriousness as his head begins to ... throb?

" ... Do you carry a mirror with you by any chance? " he asks, sincerely enough. He'd rather try that out first before letting Shitcoats of all people check up on him. It might wind up a sting to his pride that is much equivalent to the real life sting at the back of his head.

In an instant Mokuba's safety bubble of doubt is burst and he feels like he wants to scream. He freezes at Bakura's words, not wanting to believe them.

And then a click of a door lock echos in the younger Kaiba's ears and he swore he could feel his soul evicting his body.

"Please... ah. Please say sike!"

Mokuba is tempted to rush over to the door and try to unlock and yank it open. But what if the ghost(?) was still over there!? Then he could be walking right into danger!

"B-Bakura you're calm in all this--please go and try and open that door! I d-don't wanna be stuck in here with any spirits!"

" No, she's real. " Ryou lays it straight at Mokuba, almost as though he doesn't recognize any marks of fear on him. He's too observant not to, however, it's just that the other's potential fright doesn't really worry him. He can empathize a bit with the fear of the unknown and all, but GHOSTS ARE COOL. He's sure if Mokuba spends some time with them he'll feel the same.

And would you look at that? It seems he's going to! Because...

" Otherwise how would you explain the door locking itself, Kaiba ? " Ryou points to what just so happens to be exactly what he's describing. A door. The front door. Locking all by itself. No key; no silhouettes on the outside; and, as far as Ryou is aware, no tricks on his own part.

But the later he's not sure he's seeing her point. People tended to be into dueling or not. It was a big craze but some people just weren't interested in the gaming sphere.

"But you think it's worth the time and effort to try and pull in newcomers to the game?"

Shouldn't that be Industrial Illusions' responsibility, not Kaiba Corp's?

"I find it hard to believe casuals or newcomers would want to take the time to watch tournaments."

Anzu remains quiet to think, though not for so long that things would get awkward in the room. It gives her just about enough time to RE-COORDINATE her thoughts and lay them out in as organized a manner as she'd rehearsed in her head prior to the meeting.

" Alright, well, I think Winston and Muriel are a definite yes and Elliot is, unfortunately, a no. I think we can all see why. As for the remaining four that made the skills cut, I'd like to comment on them a little bit because I noticed everyone's opinions on them are divided. " She begins. Nice going, Anzu! It's been a while since she's used her ' professional ' tone so she was WORRIED it might be a bit rusty.

" So, with the duelists' consent, I actually recorded their test duels and showed them to a few of my friends and some children. I made sure half the people were actually duelists and the others weren't. " she pauses, taking everyone's faces in. " Though, obviously, to protect the company's privacy and not leak out any unnecessary information, I told everyone they were just cool compilations I found online. " Yes, that... should be sufficient, no?

She took a bit of a RISK doing that but she did notice that the beta audience were all already familiar with the dueling world, and were not age-diverse enough. She's not sure if that's just a problem with the American branch but either way, when she pointed it out she was rather RUDELY dismissed.

" With everyone's permission, I'd really like to reflect on these duelists based on that. "
