Yurio Headcanons

He began figure skating at age four when his mother took him to train. Moved to St Petersburg at eleven to train under Yakov. 

His spins are better that Viktor's because he is more flexible.  

He is an incredible skater but not an artist. 

He has always been under Viktor shadow. 

His footwork is not good, he tends to be slow, sloppy and does too much two-footing skating. 

He has never received a level 4 in his step sequences. 

He has shallow edges. 

He has a textbook quad salchow. 

He doesn't have the stamina to land five quads or a quad axel. 

He is an example of the Russian figure skating machine and politics focused state program. He has always been told that he is perfect and will be the next champion. 

Never landed a quad Flip in his career. 

I can see him developing an eating disorder 

During his twenties developed a rivalry with Minami and Guang Hong.  

During his career he was heavily dependent on state funding as his personality did not attract good sponsorships.  

He usually is not picked to skate in shows outside of Russia. 

His strength is the short program 

His weakness are stamina and strength  

His strengths are flexibility and flow 

He will struggle after his grow spur, He will lose his jumps and develop injuries after pushing his body too hard, and will have to take a season off. He will have to build himself from the start, first season after his injury he won´t qualify to GPF and will end 17 at worlds.  

His skating looks very junior until he is in his twenties and working in his artistry. 

He has been called a prodigy since he was six. 

He is not a hardworking type of skater; he relies too much in his natural talent.  

He tends to peak earlier in the season that's why the GP is his best competition.  

Hi is not as consistent as Viktor  

The triple axel is his weakest jump 

He will lose some of his flexibility after his grow spur since after turning eighteen he decides to quit ballet and distance himself from the image of a Russian fairy that has been created for him. He will start to explore other types of music.  

He will move to America for a while for training reasons. Yakov will still be his main coach but he will be trained by a coach approved by the federation.  

He will go to college in Russia but will do it online when he moved for training. 

In America he will live in California and will share and apartment with Otabek.  

When Yakov retires, he will be coached by a lady.  

Upon retirement he will become a lady's figure skating coach. He will work in Moscú 

He will live in Russia the rest of his life.    

He also got a lot of hate, particularly from the Russian media. for them he is not like Viktor enough.  

When people think of the Russian "style" of skating -- they think of him  

At the GPF in Barcelona he had a pretty big moment of glory, and it faded down from there.  

He returned the Agape costume at the end of the season because he didn't want anything to do with Viktor and the costume wouldn't fit him much longer.

He is not Viktor successor.

I'm making a list of possible programs, that the characters from the show could have had. Right now I'm focusing on Georgi and Viktor, so if anyone has any suggestions for music that these skaters could have used, please write them in the comments.

This image is a masterpiece because despite trying to smile and continue with her life, the truth is that Hotaru really feels Saki absence. And no matter how much she tries to ignore it, the feelings are there beneath the surface waiting to come out.

The best precanon fic

Now that we know that we will never have the movie about Viktor's past. I want to recommend this fic, which is my favorite in explaining Viktor's story. I would like the author to one day return and continue the story. Well, you know that hope is the last thing to be lost. The highlights of this story are:

Yakov personality is so well written, he is the best Yakov of the fandom.

Viktor as a child is so special, the author captured his personality so well.

Viktor´s parents are so well developed, the explanation of way they are no close to Viktor is pretty different from the fandom usual ideas.

Retirement Headcanons Part Three

Jean-Jacques "JJ" Leroy: becomes a sports manager. He Works in an ice rink in Canada.

Emil Nekola: he becomes a ski coach.

Otabek Altin: he becomes a full time DJ with the occasional ice show.

Mila Babicheva: she becomes a nutritionist after going to college on the USA. She ends working for one of the best American hockey team.

Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai is monthly published on Dessert Magazine, I hope they publish a new chapter soon. After the cliffhanger on chapter 62, I am dying to know what will happen. I know that the author took a break to prepare for the final chapters. Supposedly we have to wait until the September issue and since August issue was on sale on 24 June, I believe this month around July 25 the new issue will be out. I am counting the days.

 Keigo Kurata

I love Keigo, he is my second favorite character so far. his laid back, extraverted and optimistic outlook make him an amazing friend for Saki. Sometimes I feel that Keigo understands Saki better than Hotaru. He has a six sense to read people, he can tell when Saki needs to be pushed to engage with others and when he needs to be leave alone. He also can tell when Saki is having a hard time, and he gives good advice. I love how Keigo continued trying to be Saki friend despite many rejections. He realized that Saki prickliness and rude behavior is a defense mechanism.  Saki has been terribly hurt in the past by people that he trusted and love, that is way is so difficult for him to trust new people. It is amazing that Keigo was the first person that told Saki that he is a great guy, like not even Hotaru told him that. I know Keigo and Saki will become best friends with time, and they will support and care for each other.

After watching the anime, I was so curious that I read the manga and now I am heartbroken after chapter 62. I need to read something fluffy and happy for a week to recover.

Retirement Headcanons Part Two

Seung Gil Lee: he retires after 2022 Olympics and becomes a technical specialist.

Phichit Chulanont: he retires after 2026 Olympics and becomes an ambassador of figure skating in Thailand. He works with his national federation to motivate new kids to skate because one of his dreams is that one day Thailand participites in the team event at the Olympics with a national team. He does his own ice show. Hamsters on Ice, is a yearly ice show that focusses in motivating kids to skate. Is not a fancy ice show, is funny and good for families.

Leo de la Iglesia: when he was still competing, he moved to California to study music. During university he played guitar in a band. They played pop and rock music. During his last year of university, he and his friends decided that they wanted to dissolve the band. He went to the same university as Guang-Hong. They shared an apartment and trained in the same ice rink. After retiring he bought a house in Los Angeles and started working as a figure skating choreographer. In his free time, he writes songs and has sold some of them to very good singers.

Guang-Hong Ji: After turning eighteen he moved to the USA. He attended Southern California University with Leo. He studied a bachelor’s degree in film studies or Filmmaking. While competing he participated in a couple of small Netflix movies, but he was too shy and preferred to be off the screen. After retiring he went to China to learn how to handle his father company, that was the deal he made with his father to be able to study what he wanted. He also has a business degree from a Chinese university. After his stay in China, he established himself in Los Angeles permanently. He became a well-known film director that mostly focused on documentaries and small sport movies. He bought a house next to Leo´s house.

Retirement Headcanons Part One

Georgi Popovich: he retires after 2018 Olympics and becomes a make-up artist.

Christophe Giacometti: he and his husband open a pole dance studio in Geneva. During the figure skating season, he acts as a commentator mostly for French speaking channels. He does the occasional ice show.

Sara Crispino: She retires after 2020 Worlds and becomes a reporter for Eurosport.  She studied in a university in England and after graduating she moved to Prague to live and work. She doesn’t want to live in Italy because she wants to be away from Michelle.

Michele Crispino: He retires after 2022 Olympics and opens a beauty salon in Naples.

It must have been difficult for Kouji to see Miyo with Kiyoka.

I don't hate Kouji, I think his story is very sad, because despite being kind he was always trapped and restricted by his social position. That is to say, the fact that he came from a family in decline and was a second son did not give him the tools to change his or anyone else's destiny. He wanted to save Miyo so much but it was impossible for him.

And when he understood that to protect the things he loved he had to become stronger, it was too late for him and Miyo to have a future.

The admirable thing is that despite his feelings he was able to ask Kiyoka for help. It must have hurt him a lot to make that decision because Kiyoka has everything that Kouji doesn't: power, money and influence. these things are unreachable for Kouji. So despite having to endure the pain of seeing the woman he loves marry another man, Kouji has realized that it is the best for Miyo.

Kiyoka's face shows the admiration and pride he feels for his future wife. While Miyo cannot believe that she will become Kiyoka Kudo's wife and little by little she is realizing that she found her place in the world and is by his side.

Despite the difficulties Kiyoka had in choosing a wife. After finding Miyo he seems genuinely happy to have gotten engaged. his face is tender and full of anticipation.
