M14: ad analysis assignment

1. The focal point the red Evian word to draw I. The viewers attention. This change in color makes it stand out from the blue cool background. 2. Gestalt is used by completing the partial image by using the objects to create the shape of the water bottle. 3. This picture has a sense of basically symmetrical balance since the picture does not have exact symmetry but balanced on both sides with little variations. 4. There is a use of diagonal lines with the water bottle with the street, buildings, water, and mountains. 5. The use of distortion of the water bottle is used to make it appear more interesting that it really is by the size of the bottle and the intricate detail within the water bottle. 6. This ad used naturally themed textures to draw the viewers attention with the texture of the ocean, mountains, and sky. 7. The use of color dominance with red is used to draw in the attention of the viewer while the other colors are cool colors and more natural colors. 8. The illusion of space is accomplished with the overlapping of images with the ocean over the city scene, over the ocean again and the mountains. 9. The motion of the waves gives a sense of the whole image a sense of motion especially since the diagonal angles. 10. The illusion of space is also accomplished with atmospheric perspective since the images further away are more blurred compared to others such as the name of the water which has clear crisp edges

Final project 3: I consider this color scheme to be cool colors since they are all natural colors. The illusion of space is also accomplish with overlapping and vertical location.The wires , pole, and wood overlap. The wires and pole at the top have blurred edge where ass the parts at the bottom have clear crisp edges. The focal point in this photo would be the stick since it’s different from the rest of the photo. The color of the stick is different from the rest of the photo which makes it stand out from the rest of the objects in the photo.

Final project 3: the illusion of space is accomplished with overlapping material with the metal wire, metal, and wood pole. The illusion of space is also accomplished with atmospheric perspective since the back ground and the wires have blurred edges unlike the front wire and poles that have sharp crisp edges. The color scheme i would consider to be cool colors because they are natural warm colors. The focal point is the bright green pole since it is large and the brightest object in the picture.

Final project 3: The allusion is space is accomplishes with overlapping of the space. The allusion of space also is accomplished with the shadows of the tree and the wires. The color scheme are local colors and also warm colors since these are colors found outdoors plus all these colors are warmer on the color scale. The Focal point is tops part of the wire that is closest the the viewer plus with the g Only green part it breaks up the color a bit.

Final project 3: the illusion is space is used with the entangled overlapping wires. Selective focus also is used because some of the close up parts of the wire has softer edges than the others. The focal point is the closest blurred wire because it is the largest part and draws the most attention. The color scheme can be described as local since these are typically colors found outdoors or in landscapes.

Session 11: Ad Exercise -The focal point emphasized through direction since the couple are facing one way and the bird is going in the opposite direction. They end up colliding causing the funny focal point of the bird hitting her face. -The balance of the image is done using asymmetry since the people, bird, and boar make the one side heavier than the other. -The color scheme consists of cool color, such as blues, grays, white, and tan. This picture portrays realistic ideas since it is trying to portray a famous movie scene from titanic but realistically this could happen in real life. It is also gloomy unlike in the movie with the perfect sunset in the background. -The use of diagonal lines of the ship to show the motion of the boat moving through the water.

Session 10: texture The texture of the red shoe really grabs your attention. The shoes is meant to imitate the appearance of muscle. They used distortion to catch the audience attention by makes the shoe look like it is the muscle of the foot even though we know it actually isn’t the inside of the foot. The color red was used as the focal point in the picture since everything else is a neutral color it really stands out. This draws your attention to the design of the shoe.

Session 10: texture The picture uses textures in the cement which rough and cracked. The picture also emphasizes the use of lines with the curvilinear lines around the cigarette. Th picture emphasize the cigarette which is the focal point of the picture to persuade people not to litter.
