ISSUING FREE TICKETS TO SAFE BREATHING AROUND KALABURAGI:  A CSR Initiative

It may hide smiles, but it will save tears - Mask Distribution Initiative

It is widely known that people in certain lines of work are more exposed to the spread of the virus and they have contact with a larger number of people on a daily basis. As part of the broader effort to curb the transmission of coronavirus, State Governments have asked citizens to step up their level of caution.

As a Group initiative, Rajuri Steels has been promoting safe practices and pandemic precautions at its work venues, business networks, and other locations. Further, it has extended this to construction workers in various towns in Maharashtra and Karnataka, for whom it conducts training programmes for site safety from time to time.

Recently, the Company has distributed a large number of masks to site workers in and around Kalaburagi in Karnataka. The Traffic Police force, Drivers, Conductors, Checkers, Depot officials working in bus terminals of the State Transport Corporation are all personnel who need to be especially vigilant against the coronavirus. Rajuri Steels has organized an extensive distribution of protective masks to the ST staff of Kalaburagi. The local ST Authority appreciated this initiative.

Rajuri Steels has had recurring programmes against female feticide as part of CSR, and during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Company does its mite towards reminding people about the safety principles to follow - wear a mask, wash hands often, keep a safe distance - which will reduce the toll on society.

A TIMELY NEW PRODUCT FOR FASTER PROJECT COMPLETION PLUS GREATER DURABILITY

When a few engineers meet up, they tend to talk about their work sometimes. It is common wisdom among project managers and technologists that if you accelerate a process or a project, some compromise could be involved. Either the cost goes up, or there could be a drop in quality or durability.

At the same time, there is a great priority for faster completion of projects these days - every working hour matters, because that is a way to maintain a grip on project cost as well as the delivery schedule.

Now, consider the challenge here. On the one hand, acceleration in the work is valuable. On the other, we not only want no compromise that will cost us more in the future, we even hope to achieve more quality and durability.

Is that too ambitious to attempt? Our team decided to take up the challenge and apply its knowledge.

With our decades of serving residential builders, infrastructural engineers and builders, technical and industrial architects and builders, Rajuri Steels keenly appreciates the priorities involved. Saving the labour and site time in the installation is of value. And while achieving it, we should add to, not subtract from the construction strength.

Timesaving on a construction site can be achieved by the quality of the material. Steel is a material that usually takes up time in cutting and bending and related processes like preheating can take up more time and resources. So Rajuri Steels set about improving the solution - to deliver a more easily workable and bendable grade of construction steel.

RELEASE OF NEW RAJURI STEELS PRODUCT - 500D PLUS TMT Rebar

Manufacturing steel of such a grade demands a very high control over the carbon and phosphorus percentage and it also calls for a specific advanced water-cooled process. Rajuri Steels has gained considerable experience working with manufacturing methods to be able to bring to market a product that has 16 to 25% better elongation properties. Thus, along with better anti-corrosion and easier workability, the new Rajuri 500D Plus TMT Rebar has superior shock resistance and is a recommended earthquake-resistant construction material.

This breakthrough product calls for a really big occasion to announce it and it arrived in the form of the prestigious CREDAI Meet at the Courtyard Marriott in Nasik, where members of its national committee and Maharashtra state committee were attending. In his address, Mr. Mundada said that home builders always wish for stronger, low-maintenance, and longer-lasting structures. Leading Rajuri Steel dealers of the region, and other friends and well-wishers were also greeted during the launch programme in Nashik, while the aegis of CREDAI elevated the stature of the product launch. In the subsequent conversations, it was acknowledged that the product needs less installation time at the site, and yet adds years to the service life of the civil structure.
